The room was perfect, we had an upgrade The breakfast was excellent, with a buffet with a large choice, the option to drink Champagne. The centre of Siem Reap could be reached with tuck-tuck. Perfect way of traveling to the city centre.
A truly beautiful hotel in a jungle city in the middle of Siem Reap! A long river-like pool winds by the porches of most rooms. The sounds of the cicadas is extremely loud at night, but the walls of each room is sound-proof enough that we did not hear their roar except when we were walking into and out of our room at night and at certain times of the day. Also, it was surprising and disappointing that the toilet in our room was NOT "mail-friendly," that is, it was impossible for the toilet seat to stay UP when a man sought to urinate. Despite alerting the reception staff on three separate occasions about this, it was never fixed. In fact, we were told that this is not a problem, according to the 3 women staff to whom I had engaged. The public toilet near the reception area did not have this problem.…
I don't really know where to start. The hotel massively exceeded my expectations and the photos don't really do it justice. The atmosphere adds far more that the pictures don't show. The check in staff were amazing and everything arranged easily and seemlessly, from a late check out to an airport transfer. The rooms were amazing, with an entrance hall, sitting area, huge and massively comfortable bed, with amazing pillows (weirdly pillows throughout our time in Cambodia and Vietnam were always uncomfortable - but not here!). The little terrace outside led straight down to the pool which was lovely. The bathroom was exceptional, with a huge bath and rain shower over. From the sound of the cicadas to being amongst the trees it really felt like a complete retreat from the world but only a ten minute tuk tuk to downtown Siem Reap and similar to the temple complexes of Angkor - with the hotel situated midway between the two. Absolutely perfect location. The pool was lovely, tranquil and peaceful and meanders throughout the complex so all guests presumably have direct access to the pool. But because it meandered though it felt quieter and more private than a standard rectangular pool. We only used the restaurant at breakfast time but that was plentiful and a good selection. But the cocktails and mocktails from the bar were excellent and the communal bar area was lovely. I can't compliment the hotel enough. And of all the places I stayed in my two week trip of Vietnam and Cambodia, here is where I would come back for a long stay.…
The resort is uniquely built in traditional Cambodian architecture. A big garden, and the 200m long swimming pool make the resort very spacious, quiet and with plenty of privacy. The suites, amidst the greenery, and with a circular swimming pool, are tastefully beautiful, luxurious and surround a circular swimming pool. The staff is absolutely wonderful and extremely polite. I especially would like to mention Ms. Mithuna Tep in reservations and Ms. Lourm Voeng at reception for their grace and generosity.
