We chose the sofitel for my wife's birthday weekend. While we live in Siem Reap and have dined at the Sofitel, we have never spent the night there. That was a mistake. This is one of the nicest places we've stayed in the world, and we traveled alot in the B4 time....B4 Covid. We had stay 3 nights in this hotel and enjoyed the 5 star services and the beautifulness of the propriety. All the staffs are warm-welcoming and pay attention to details, from front desk, breakfast team or housekeeping. We had the chance to join the so lobster night dinner which was a delicious moment. The property is huge and very beautiful. The customer service is just so amazing. The staff always have genuine smiles on their faces and are very quick to help in whatever you need. The hotel's ambiance takes you back to history and gives you nature filled experience. My daughter loved her first fishing experience. The food is very very delicious, Thanks to the great Chef - Mr. Eric. Special thanks to Mr. Pascal and Mr. Clement for such wonderful experience that we can cherish.

We stayed 4 nights at the Sofitel for a pre-christmas getaway and for the half-marathon of Angkor Wat. Our kids are 4y and 6y. Location: Siam Reap is not so big so everything is more or less near by; the good point of the Sofitel is the proximity to Angkor Wat (saves you some heavy traffic...) but the cons: not that close to the city center (you’ll need a Tuk tuk ride). For those looking for peace and quiet place, do not look further, this is a zen haven ;) Room: The entire design of the resort is elegant in Restaurants: Golf Kids facilities Service level (especially if you are ALL members)

We do have water cooler that we use internally to avoid plastic waste. You can always approach the Front Office team to help you refill your bottles. If you don't mind to share your name we can add a note to your profile.
As part of our Planet 21 program, we are working on ways of improvement to become plastic free in the next months. However, please kindly note that the complimentary water provided in your room are still plastic bottles at the moment.

They do have twin rooms available on the lower floor. They will cater to your every need. I am not sure about the the charges for an extra bed, sorry.
