I plan global events for a living and invest in hospitality businesses and I can honestly say I was blown away in every single way by this property. From Nathalie the GM, Fares, Soufiane, Muhammad and Emmen - there are honestly too many names to mention as so many people did an exceptional job looking after us. The food was outstanding in restaurants and also room service. The team were all extremely attentive to a 6*+ quality. Everything we asked for, we got, quicker than we expected and better than we expected. It’s extremely rare I give such a high level of praise, but I would commend this as a place to stay, leisure or business - or host any type of event, it’s one of the best properties I’ve been to in the UAE and I’ve never had better service in any other Melia property around the world I have been in. Very good privacy, large villas and great service. Food options for room service can be increased. Special mention for Emaan who was great and checked us in and even checked us out from the villa itself.

We arrived at melia on March 16th and unfortunately my son was not in the mood and keeps on crying at the reception, but with the help and professional instict as a hotelier named EMMAN, he offered my son to ride with his golf cart and made my son smiling till we arrived at villa #26, me and my wife was amazed by this kind of act. Beautiful hotel with great staff. Swimming pool area is lovely, lots of places to sit out and chill, food by the pool was great. Room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Location is further out but we didn't mind the 30 min taxi to downtown.

I was honestly blown away by this resort. I've stayed at several 5* hotels in Dubai, but none of them come close to the beauty of the Melia Desert Palm. My wife and I stayed at the hotel with our 6 month daughter. When we arrived, we were greeted by Helmy at check-in. As our flight was earlier than normal check-in, Helmy welcomed us to enjoy the facilities at the hotel while we waited. As it was early morning, he took us to the main restaurant where we had some breakfast. A special mention to Deep and Tijo in the restaurant who were absolutely incredible throughout our stay. In fact, everyone we encountered at the hotel were so polite and friendly. The guys who cleaned our room would always ask the next day whether the room was cleaned to our likening. The attendants in the gym and at the pool were brilliant too. Everyone made so much effort to talk to my daughter which I thought was a beautiful touch. Mohammed and Yousef at check-out were great too. One of the check-in staff even gave us a small t-shirt souvenir for our daughter as we waited in reception one day. Nothing was too much by anyone. When we occasionally had to cut-short breakfast to take our daughter for her mid-morning nap, having some breakfast sent to our room was never a problem. On our final day, Tijo even offered to make us a packed lunch to take with us while we waited at the airport - an absolutely 5* service. The hotel is stunning and we loved every aspect of it, but the staff are what make this place outstanding and a true 5* hotel. I have stayed at dozens of 5* hotels and resorts but I can count on one hand as to how many of them had staff that were of the proper standard for a 5* service, but the Melia Desert Palm is really one of them. I really hope the staff are all properly appreciated and promoted by management because it's clear to me that they have incredible customer service skills. The one aspect that felt slightly short of 5*, was the buffet breakfast on weekends, which lacked any proper variety and options. However, because of how peaceful and quiet the hotel is and how incredible the staff are, we will absolutely be returning again!…
