If you’re reading this review run and make your reservation to this absolutely gorgeous hotel. We have been here for almost 10 days and we are loving every minute of it. Customer service is top notch. Especially our breakfast has been incredible with the help of young man named JOSEMON ( hello managers if you’re reading this you better give this fine man a raise!!!) he has been super good and treating us like kings and queens every single day. I have never seen a customer service like this one before. We have not left yet but we are planning another vacation to this resort with the rest of my family. It will be sad leaving and I will truly miss this hotel and all the employees here! Keep up the good work guys!!!
I spent one month in one of the Villas with a family. The villa was amazing and the access to the beach, as well as the equipments in the gym were amazing! But what really made a difference during my stay was the hotel/villa butler. Ian, from Kenya, was super professional and took care of every detail. From making amazing strawberry smoothies and showing us all that Sofitel could offer to the guests, he helped me to feel comfortable in the villa, always paying attention to our needs and even anticipating them. I highly recommend both Ian and the resort for whoever looking for rest and good holidays!
during this pandemic afllicted start of 2021. To be honest, you won't be disappointed from your stay here even if you have high expectations. We've spent 8 nights here and really enjoyed it. I'm pleased to share our experiences with you in the next passages. Positive: The whole resort is clean, neat and nice to look at with it polynesian architecture and style. You can find safety recommendations everywhere, what is in particular necessary because there are still people walking around that need this helping hand.... The staff is very polite and accomodating in every circumstance. We have stayed in one of the beach suites. Nice interior and big balcony to relax on. So, the photos from th website were not too exaggerated or photoshopped. During our stay, three restaurants were open (Breafast restaurant and Lounge not included). The Maui at the beach served snacks and small plates until 6 pm. That food was ok and nothing to critizise. The Moana is the seafood restaurant that serves, who would have thought - seafood, and in additon, Sushi as well. Nothing to say but thumbs up! The third one is the Porterhouse. We had some extraordinary grilled fish and steaks here. Therefore, have a try! By the way, keep your eyes open for the waiter / barkeeper named Angelo. He was our favorite "SOFITEList" and makes extraordinary drinks besides his obliging service and behaviour. Negative: Especially in this time, the staff should have taken more drastic measures when it comes to guests running around in the public area without wearing a mask! Another thing which can be improved is that sun loungers were missing on the balcony / terrace. Would have been great to take a sunbath someday on the own balcony to escape the hustle and bustle. Finally, the hotel offered an option to take a PCR test within the hotel from 9am to 2pm everyday - which is quite comfy but the docotor or nurse was totally overstrained. Probably because he was alone without any help to enter all details from the multinational guests. The Hotel should work on a system to get the queing in line because that was a catastrophe. Maybe some printouts where everyone can fill out the necessary details while waiting? Even though the text for the negative points seem to look long, the positive outweigh the negative and we will come back again! Cheers!…
Can’t comment on the hotel itself as we weren’t staying there. We went as a family for the day on a pool and beach pass. Having done some of these in other hotels whilst in Dubai we wanted to check out Sofitel. It looks a great hotel. Nice facilities. Very nice pool. Very average beach but more on that later. Some staff were super helpful and really nice. But some of the restaurant staff were incredibly rude! They have no physical menus so you scan a QR code. I did this and it wouldn’t load. Asked for help from a person working in the restaurant and they basically dismissed it as being an issue with me / my phone before walking off! Got a different person and they then told me to get on the Wi-fi which I did but it still wouldn’t load. It was then the WiFi’s fault. Eventually he tried to load it on his phone and it still wouldn’t work so he finally flagged it to the manager who got it fixed. But until that point it was clearly “my fault”. Both of our children are gluten intolerant so was looking for options in their many restaurants. It was extremely limited but we did find the World Eatery which seemed to have better options. Trekked up there to find it was permanently closed despite no mention of this on the website. Beyond this, the beach was ok. Around the waterline was surprisingly full of stones and sharp shells. Wasn’t expecting this given it is enclosed with no waves. The final thing was it was incredibly expensive. Ice creams and drinks were a rip off but they have got you because there is nothing else nearby. All in all, not very impressed. There are much better pool and beach deals elsewhere in Dubai. …
