I booked a private room with my own shower and bathroom, and a little terrace, where I had my breakfast. It was clean and comfortable. There is a swimming pool, where you can relax after a long day. I traveled alone and this is a good place to meet people. You can rent a motorbike just nearby the guesthouse. Night market is very close.

First of all, people should realize that this is a hostel, with a wing of private rooms. As such, it has a hostel atmosphere, which I enjoy and others might not. It is clean, if a little shop worn. It has a good location, close to the night market. It has an inviting swimming pool, but be aware that there is no ladder. If you are going for the pool, make sure you are young/and/or limber enough to hop out and maintain your dignity. I stayed in one of the private rooms. I stayed during the Lunar New Year holidays, when everything in town was booked out and double priced. Otherwise the price is fair for a private room. The room comes with a free breakfast, which is good. I would have given it an average rating, but for the staff, who are friendly and helpful. For me, that is enough to boost the rating to very good.

This guesthouse (which I thought was a hostel) it's a bit of both. It's in a brilliant location. There is a shop next door (be careful the man tried to over charge us). It is very close to food market which turns into night market at night, I would recommend you visit there. It is also close to the temples and museum (walking distances). You can book sleeper buses/mini vans and vip buses through them good price. You can even rent scooters. The pool here is lovely to relax at for a day or two. The food for breakfast is simple 5 choices nice and easy. I tried half of them and they were nice. You can also book tours from here are good prices. The staff are lovely and friendly, we had originally only planned to stay a few nights. I sadly fell off my scooter which prevented me from walking for a while. My boyfriend and I were easily accommodated by this, staff even helped at the time of the incident. Do not be put off by the bad reviews okay there are a few things that are broken but everywhere has a few things that are broken. It's a really good price and very good to meet others. If I were to return to Luang Prabang I would 100% stay here.

As a solo traveller, this hostel was great for meeting people and socialising. The common area is always full of people, which actually is a bit noisy at night. It’s what I’d consider to be a party hostel. There’s no night life in Luang Prabang except for a bowling alley, so most people drink and play games in big groups in the hostel common area. I stayed in a four-bed dorm. There were no lockers or any kind of security. The air conditioning is turned off all day, so if you’re not well or want to lie down for a rest during the day it’s impossible as it’s very hot. The bathrooms are connected to the common area, and are disgusting – almost unusable. The hostel is in a really good location, within walking distance to the main part of town, and very close to the night market.

This is the worst hotel I have stayed at, I was expecting basic but it is filthy with broken things everywhere that they seem to have no inclination to fix. I have never seen so many cobwebs outside a ghost train. Dirty mats at door and by bathroom. Broken clothes rail. The bedding and mosquito net had lots of rips. The bathroom door couldn't be opened properly as the shower rail had moved down. Not even sure why there was a rail as there was no curtain. No grout in floor tiles so it wasn't clean. Ceiling was mouldy and dripped through the night. Toilet roll holder was broken and only half a roll given. Complained but manager wouldn't do anything. No otherrooms available. Tried to get another hotel but no availability at this point so we had to stay. Pool area has lots of broken sunloungers. No steps into pool. Lots of cracked, sharp edges. Wifi is very temperamental. Breakfast was basic. No milk for tea/coffee only a disgusting creamer. They kept turning off the fridge in our room. Only good thing is the location.

At first sight the room was very disapointing. The tiles on the pool were all fallen off. The lounges squished together. Only first night noisy but after that it was nice an quiet. Breakfast was good. Simple 5 selection but nice. Plastic cups for tea and coffee and cream which is not what we are used to. Drinks on sale at good price. Deli thing right next door. Good location. Staff friendly enoguh. Washing we had done was all scrunched up in bag on return and it was still wet so had to go hang it out again. Was clean and comfortable and an ok price for a place with good location and a pool.

I don’t generally publish reviews but this hostel was an exception. We booked in at a fairly unreasonable price to a four bed room. The room was ok, equipped to accomodate four people within reason. The aircon was unavailable until the sun went down and everything cooled down which was completely backwards. The wifi didn’t work correctly at all, the toilets and showers were grim, but usable. The main issue we had with this hostel was the abrasive staff and their lack of respect. After returning from a popular night in the area (bowling) we found the gate was locked shut. It appears that they’d prepared for our arrival by removing some of the spikes on top of the gate so that we could dangerously clamber over the gate. Then when we returned to our private 4 bed room we continued talking for some time, being private to us we weren’t overly quiet but it did not deserve what followed, a member of staff burst in to the room shouting and proceeded to kick me in my bed. After storming out of the room I followed the gent outside to question his actions which then caused him to push, grab and literally throttle me against one of the walls outside. A member of staff shortly pulled him away. I hadn’t responded in any way to justify this, I was gobsmacked and returned to my room. Avoid, this is no way to treat your guests and this man (potentially the security guard) should be fired. The pool was lovely.

We stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay but that was mostly due to the other hotel guest and the social atmosphere. The staff are not overly helpful and do not allow you to make any noise at night and can becine quite rude. We had a private room and although it was OK it could have been cleaner for the price.our room was also not cleaned in 4 days we stayed at the hotel

A group of 8 of us were housed in a 8 person dorm at short notice, at a good price. We were happy with the quality of the rooms, the beds and pillows were clean and comfortable. The AC was okay but only worked for a few hours at night, which sucked because one of our friends was sick with a fever and needed air. The swimming pool was nice but the chlorine was so strong it discoloured all our cloths. We had a bottle of rum that was stolen by a cleaner, I was accused by the owner that it was our group, someone else or another patron who stole it: not her staff. So I insisted we watched this on CCTV---low and behold her cleaner had stolen it. The owner was angry and apologetic but nothing happened. She rummaged through the rubbish to find it but the kid had fallen off. No remuneration for this theft. Upon check out I put 4 keys on the desk and was accused immediately of only putting 3 down, and was asked to pay for another key---so we had to watch CCTV AGAIN to prove that I was right. The staff are very very quick to blame their patrons if something goes wrong. Disappointed overall.
