very good and modern hotel with great interpretation of colonial architecture within old city area of Antigua - 8 minutes walk from central park. very quite zone to rest and good restaurant (Saúl) next door.
We loved staying at Good Hotel Antigua. The room and premises were clean. Bed was comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly. There’s a restaurant right next to it. It’s walking distance from the main square and near many restaurants. The best part is that 100% of the profits go to help fund schools in Guatemala. They also have a hospitality program to train students and help them find jobs. Will stay here again!
Overall had a very pleasant experience. The location was great, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the garden was super cool. However, the one issue I encountered during my stay was with the sound isolation in my room. While my room itself was spacious and comfortable, I found that I could hear quite a bit of noise from the hallway and neighboring hostel. This made it a bit difficult to chill and relax. While the sound isolation in the rooms could be improved, I would still recommend this hotel to others.
We really liked this place. We were greeted by friendly staff. Our room was clean, comfortable, and modern. It had a nice sitting area and a large bathroom with a REALLY nice shower. The bedroom was on the second floor, so if stairs are an issue for you be aware of that. The man who checked us into the room took our suitcases up the stairs for us which was much appreciated. The hotel has its own water filtration system so you can drink the water and use it to brush your teeth, an extra convenience we appreciated. We enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant. The hotel is very close to the main square, definitely within walking distance. From reading the materials in the room we learned that the profits from Good Hotel are used to provide underprivileged local children with an education and for training for unemployed local residents into hospitality careers. So how cool is that? …
This hotel is absolutely beautiful and the service was wonderful! The bed was very comfortable and the outdoor shower was a fun surprise (the indoor shower was also beautiful). I would definitely stay here again.
Our experience at the Good Hotel was excellent! The staff was incredibly welcoming and made our time in Antigua memorable. We had a chance to visit the Ninos de Guatemala school and see firsthand the impact that the Good Hotel and Ninos de Guatemala are having on the community. I would recommend the Good Hotel to anyone visiting the Antigua area; not only is the location and property stunning, but you are directly helping the community you are staying in.
We stayed 4 nights at the Good Hotel Antigua and loved every minute of it. Stunning rooms and properties and all of the on-site staff was so welcoming and helpful! The beds are unbelievably comfy, and the small details included in the room are such a nice touch. Free pour-over coffee and tea in the room, quality soaps and bodywash and so much more! The property is connected to the restaurant next door, Saul. It has some of the best and most indulgent food we've ever had - the healthy smoothies..the Crepes...the Coffees... the teriyaki burger... I could go on forever. And just to make things better, staying at this hotel helps send local children to school and helps train local adults to enter the workforce and create incredible opportunities! Absolutely loved it here and will 100% be staying again!…
Very nice basic hotel with an excellent staff that was very fluent in English. Location was an easy walk to the city center. Neighborhood was quiet and safe. There were numerous restaurants within walking distance.
A great hotel. Super clean with some of the best food I had in Antigua. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Rooms were quiet and the location was good. I liked that the profits go to a worthwhile cause. The only complaint was that a digital nomad was constantly in the shared space talking loudly on his phone and ruining the tranquility for the rest of us, day after day. Maybe the hotel staff could have tapped him on the shoulder and asked him to talk in his room.
What a beautiful hotel and what a heartwarming experience! When you stay here, you pretty much sponsor a local child's education in Antigua. The story of how the founders started this hotel was so incredibly touching, it all started with a pair of shoes that was donated to a child and went on from there. Each room is named after one of the children it is helping, with the most adorable photos of the child on canvas inside the room as the artwork. While the hotel supports such an incredible cause, it is aesthetically gorgeous from the swing in the front to the courtyard feel to the on-site restaurant. The other hotels in this area are very colonial, but this one is modern with local touches. I loved staying here and being able to support a great cause. I would love if more of these hotels popped up.…
