We stayed here for a night and it was perfect. Friendly and helpful staff. Love the signature free cookies. The best hotel pool ever. Comfortable room. And best of all they have a convenient and free hotel shuttle to downtown so you don’t have to worry about parking. They also have complimentary coffee in the lobby. We didn’t eat in the restaurant so I can not comment upon that.

Overall highly recommend.

Jody, the daytime shuttle driver, was awesome, very kind, and as flexible and accommodating as possible considering all the wedding traffic at the hotel, as were most of the other staff. Maybe a 10 minute ride to downtown or the academy. Rooms are a bit tired and dated, but adequate with a audible clicking⁸, yet functional AC. The firm king bed was not at the DoubleTree standard that I have come to expect, but others may prefer it. The rooms are relatively quiet if you are on the front side away from the busy four lane. Breakfast is typical DoubleTree and a decent Annapolis hotel value with a good $15 buffet and multiple cooked to order options.

I've never written a review mentioning loyalty status, but if you are expecting any sort of status upgrades or preferential treatment for being a long time Honors member, look elsewhere. Despite no wait behind me and being alone at the front desk with two attendants, my Honors status was not acknowledged at check in, I was not offered water, or even a cookie, and I even received a lecture from one desk clerk(maybe 5'9" or so, a little husky, balding, with glasses)' about the limitations of the food and beverage credit, and how Honors members have long taken advantage(his words) of the complimentary breakfast. Almost 'anti' in the customer service department and may be in need of remediation. I also had the displeasure of phone call with the same guy, 'Joshua', a couple of days after my stay due to a billing error, and he once again reinforced his hospitality shortcomings. Stay away from this cat.

Overall, a decent hotel but one bad egg can cause a lingering odor.

We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with detailed feedback from your stay with us. It is disheartening to hear of your troubles and would like to apologize for the inconvenience as this does not sound like our hotel at all. I understand your frustration with the front desk attendant who never acknowledge your Hilton Honors status and provided you with a misleading information in regards to the breakfast benefits. We will certainly be discussing your experience further with the team to eliminate this happening in the future. Thank you for being a valued traveler and Hilton Honors member, and I hope you give us a second chance to regain your trust in us. Sincerely, Arnie Garcia, General Manager

The room was clean but average to a little above average. The bath area was on the small side with average lighting. The standard internet was disappointing, after the first night had to switch to the premium fee based internet and that was fine. The staff was great and very responsive to requests including housekeeping requests. The restaurant was fine but a little understaffed because of the labor shortage at both dinner and lunch. The market store by front desk had good food and drink options to take back to room plus other items you may have missed packing for the trip.

We should’ve known the moment we drove into the lot, this was a disaster waiting to happen. Though the parking lot was sketchy, we held hope as we walked into a decent looking lobby…and that’s where the pleasantry starts and ends. The front desk agent’s attitude was lacklustre during the check in process. We walked into our room, after waking through a dingy hallway to be smacked in the face by the smell of mildew. We went back to the front desk agent who suggested to have housekeeping spray the room because the hotel was sold out. Obviously that wouldn’t do because covering the smell does n o t h i n g. She apprehensively yet magically found another room for us. Her nasty attitude left a sour taste in our mouth as she was acting like we were bothering her. Upon entering the new room, we felt so uncomfortable we began to look for another hotel and good thing we did because that’s when we saw the bugs on the sheets of the bed we sat on. We didn’t wait for another sign to go.

Good customer service goes a long way and while we can look past an unappealing exterior, the service (or severe lack thereof ) was ultimately what made us leave.

Dingy. Terrible customer service.
There are way too many hotels in the area to subject ourselves to this property.

Have stayed at this hotel every time we have been in Annapolis, since 2021. Each time we have stayed here, the hotel progressively declines in both service as well as the quality of the rooms/facility. This last visit for 4 nights, was for a very important parent weekend for our plebe at USNA. Our room had poor draining in the shower tub (ankle deep water), poor water pressure and by the 2nd night, the AC was not able to cool the room no matter what the temperature was set at, and slept to the clicking of the mini-fridge like it was a clock.SO overpriced for the quality of the hotel. Elevators struggle and have gone down during our stays in the past and the rooms were kind of rough, but we have always excused the issues and used the "Covid recovery" as the reasons. No more. It is now 2023 and not only has the quality of the hotel continued to go down, the service has as well. If you know it is Plebe Parent Weekend, perhaps run several shuttles if you want more families to stay at your hotel. While we chose DoubleTree as opposed to HGI, for the shuttle service, we were not able to use it a single time and paid for parking downtown. As Diamond members, we have not once been upgraded and just cancelled further reservations for November and December.

We were attending the Patriot League Swimming Championships at the USNA and this was the team hotel. It was not at all the experience we had the last time we'd stayed for this competition before the pandemic.
The one plus we can give on this most recent 3 night stay is the accommodation of early check in upon arrival.
Unfortunately after that it went downhill. The non smoking room smelled strongly of smoke so a staff member was simply sent up with a spray can which freshened the air just a bit. Housekeeping did not come the first day and when we inquired as to why we were told it needs to be specifically requested. Thinking that should be communicated at check in! We went without housekeeping after the first night because although it was midday when we called we were told it was too late. After we came back to our room the next day in the mid afternoon housekeeping hadn't been by yet so when we inquired as to why we were told you need to request it which we obviously now had but somehow the memo still didn't get from the front desk to the housekeepers. Someone came up eventually that day. The morning we were checking out before check out time they knocked on the door and when we didn't get up quick enough 2 ladies began letting themselves in while my wife was still getting dressed.
The largest issue we had however was on our last evening when we had a group of neighbors who didn't have any respect for anyone around them and were going back and forth between rooms and spending prolonged periods of time out in the hallway talking at the top of their lungs and slamming doors repeatedly between midnight and almost 3AM. Security was sent up after our first call to the desk and we heard the gentlemen tell them to quiet down but then he walked away and they just started right back up. At the second call my wife suggested they have security stay in the hallway for a bit to deter these people from going right back at it and finally after 3AM we were able to get some sleep before they started back up again first thing in the morning.
No gesture was made to apologize for allowing other guests to behave so poorly and destroy our sleep. The front desk staffer actually suggested we could move rooms in the middle of the night as if that was a grand solution.
One other point: multiple swim teams that were competing gave this establishment a ton of business and all the athletes had to check out of their rooms 4 hours before their final swims...it would have been a nice gesture to extend the check out by a few hours as a show of appreciation for all the business.
We will not be looking to return as this type of mismanagement is completely unacceptable.

There was a boat show going on, so we were gouged financially. It was not 440 a night place. The room must have been in an older part of the hotel. The bathroom door would not close easily, stains on the rug and chair. The room and hallway smelled moldy.

The second morning we went out for breakfast. We were just not digging the breakfast at the hotel. Yes, we paid extra for it. A speaker was behind us playing less than relaxing music at 6:00 am. It was not in the background. Bacon was like cardboard and tasteless/overcooked. Eggs lacked any kind is seasoning.

We booked the Lookout Room for a small family gathering celebrating our daughter's Commissioning from the Naval Academy. I wanted a private space where our guests of about 20-25 people could move around and visit while enjoying food and drinks. We didn't want to do dinner at a restaurant because it would be loud, crowded , and difficult for everyone to visit. Alyssa, the Food and Beverage Manager, was fabulous. She was so helpful and accommodating. I was able to choose any items from the menu in the quantities I wanted. She was very kind and patient through some changes I made. Rodger, the bar tender, was awesome! He took care of all our guests, taking their drink orders, serving them, and being attentive to them throughout the evening. Brad, the chef, did a great job on the food. We has a fruit/cheese tray, chicken wings, spring rolls, crab balls, and meatballs. They refilled items as needed. It was the perfect amount of food for the number of guest we had. They are a fantastic team!

We sat with our Mid as our guests visited with her. Alyssa let us stay longer than planned and didn't rush us out.

It was the perfect way to celebrate Commissioning for our family. I would highly suggest this for a small group.

Thank You Alyssa!!

I checked into this hotel (Room 571) late in the afternoon of June 3rd. When I entered the room it was quite chilly so I turned down the A/C. An hour later I was picked up by my niece and we went out to dinner in Annapolis. I returned to the room at about 10PM and before I went to bed, I turned the A/C down to a lower temperature. I then woke up to something grinding in the motor which would not stop and it continued to keep me up most of the night. While I considered just changing rooms, I was leaving early in the AM and chose not to do so.
When I checked out at the front desk, I let Ivy (front desk person) know that the room should NOT be utilized until the motor is corrected. I also told her that I had a terrible night of little sleep. She said she would notate that on my file and that someone ‘might’ be in touch (possibly the GM). As of June 9th, no one has contacted me nor have I received what is typically sent out by hotel companies-a review of your stay. For a room that cost over $300, this was not worth the money nor was the response by the hotel appropriate. Side note: there was a long black hair in the bathroom sink and the quality of the TV was marginal at best. Stay at your own risk.

Check-in was quick and easy.

I would like to commend the employees at this hotel. They were all friendly and greeted us with a smile. It was clear they take great pride in their work.

Our room was spotless. We stayed in the Commodore John Paul Jones Suite. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room to rest from a long day of sightseeing. The bathroom has a tub that is large enough for two people in addition to the shower. There was a walk-in closet big enough to store quite a bit of luggage and a safe for valuables.

The hotel restaurant, Ports of Call, was a cut above your usual hotel fare. The food was excellent. We stayed two nights and decided to eat there again the second night, it was that good. Our servers were efficient and attentive but not disruptive.

I highly recommend this hotel if you visit Annapolis. We will certainly stay there if we return.
