On our first visit to Annapolis, the original intent was to stay in the historic center. After comparing prices and reviews, we opted for Meadow Gardens B&B on the outskirts of Annapolis. This choice was a winner. We stayed 6 nights at Meadow Gardens and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is very close to the city center, but far enough away to allow for a quiet and peaceful respite. And, a big plus is dedicated free parking, so no extra charges for parking like downtown hotels. Our room (suite, actually) was thoughtfully and creatively decorated, comfortable, very clean and quiet. The proprietor, Wendy is a delight. She was very welcoming and pulled out all the stops to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Highlights were the expansive lawns and gardens for guests to enjoy and the numerous bird feeders which provided entertainment for us as we ate our breakfasts. And, the breakfast themselves, pure bliss. Every morning guests select from a menu and it is served in a breakfast room over-looking the garden. The breakfasts alone are worthy of 5 stars. Thank you, Wendy!

We brought our well-mannered pup on a weekend trip to Annapolis and were very pleased with this B&B. Wendy has a small spaniel who was sometimes in the main house and always agreeable. Lovely space out back for our dog to burn energy and explore. Breakfast served overlooking the garden was delicious and filling. Location very close to downtown Annapolis. So much more relaxing than being in a hotel with a dog. We would definitely come back.

We’ve been staying in a lot of Air BnBs, so it was nice to stay in a real bed and breakfast and be pampered for a change. Our room was the Tuscan suite. It had a large living area that was completely private and a large bedroom with a king bed (always nice). The attached bath had a shower only. Off the bedroom was a nice patio for sitting in good weather. The property itself is large, pretty and very private. Wendy is a gracious, friendly hostess. Her breakfasts are large enough to stay with you all day. Coffee and tea are available 24 hours, which, as an early riser, I always appreciate. Although the area seems more rural, it’s very close to downtown historic Annapolis and restaurants and attractions. I would definitely stay at Meadow Gardens while in Annapolis.

Not our favorite B & B. First of all it was hard to find and not marked very well. It was hard to figure out where to enter once we got there and no one answered the phone number we had. Once we found it, the hostess was fairly indifferent. She had to look for our keys and, once she’d shown us to our room, she disappeared. When we had questions later before going out for the evening, she was nowhere to be found. Our room was fine - comfortable and clean, though there was chipped paint and peeling wallpaper in several places. The bathroom was really cute and we appreciated the box of toiletries. There was a little patio outside our room, but it was dirty and not kept up well, so we didn’t go out there. There was a beautiful garden out back, but the seating area hadn’t been cleaned in a long time and we almost didn’t want to sit on the chairs they were so filthy. The door leading to the garden was in need of repairs and cleaning. And we didn’t even know it was on the water until we read the reviews – we never saw it nor did anyone tell us. Breakfast was great - absolutely delicious – the highlight of our stay. However, I doubt we’d stay here again.

thank you for taking the time to review my B&B. I am so sorry I came across as indifferent. It was not intended. I try not to hover but perhaps it came across as indifferent. You have made some great suggestions for improvements That I will be implementing. A sign on my mail box indicating the B&B and a sign over the main entrance door to direct people which door to go to. The wallpaper does tend to peel at the seams. This is a typical problem with wall paper. I have gone back and pasted the seams the best I can to try and deal with this problem. As to chipping paint, I'm not sure where that was. I found one very small chip which I have touched up with paint. Sorry the deck was dirty but not knowing what time of year you were here I'm thinking it was in the winter time when people don't typically sit outside anyway so I don't give it top priority. But I am repainting the deck and getting it spruced up for the main B&B season. It's always helpful to have fresh eyes review your place as one tends to overlook what one is accustomed to. Glad you enjoyed the breakfast. Technically, the waterfront is not my property but the owner does kindly allow my B&B guests to go there so I don't make a big deal of it. Although if you looked at my website you would have known I have canoes and kayaks to take out if desired. Sorry I was not your favorite B&B but I thank you for your input.

We stayed for two nights in June, 2018 in the fabulous Tuscan Suite. The photos online only begin to reflect the beauty and peacefulness of this lovely B&B. It's a delightful escape from all the activities and excitement of Annapolis. The Tuscan Suite is amazing - like having your own apartment. The host, Wendy, is friendly, considerate, accommodating, and serves a fabulous breakfast in beautiful surroundings. This is high on the list of my favorite B&B's!
