My family and I stayed here while passing through Alexandria. I have worked for Choice Hotels in the past and was shocked by how rude the front desk person was and the overall lack of care for the hotel. I understand every business is struggling to hire good people these days, but this was unacceptable. When we arrived, there was no one at the desk for a very long time. I called out cheerfully, and she rudely yelled from the back that she was coming. While checking me in, she started making comments under her breath, I asked, "pardon me?" as I couldn't hear what she was saying. Her response? "I wasn't talking to you!" I could see that the hotel was new and nice, so I overlooked the rudeness and moved on. However, you could tell that the staff do not care for the hotel appropriately. I would not be surprised if the "newness" wears off very quickly. For example, there was a puddle of pink soda by the elevator, and a housekeeper literally walked right by it taking no notice. They also have the oddest pool hours I've ever seen...3pm - 9pm! So if you get in late and hope to take your kids to the pool before you checkout - too bad for you! Also they had no breakfast options available. I've traveled quite a bit during this pandemic and have never seen such a lack of hospitality. Stay here if you must, but don't expect much!…
We were Alexandria for one night and got a reservation for this hotel. Everything we had requested was provided. We found the hotel to be clean, very quiet and comfortable. We were disappointed that because of Covid there was no hot breakfast. But there was coffee, juices, and breakfast sandwiches for us to cook in the microwave.
Made a reservation at this hotel and ended up having to cancel. I cancelled a week out and was still charged full price and then some for a room I never used. When I call to get the situation resolved I was treated to zero sympathy and the run around. I will never stay in a Choice Hotel again and hope they go out of business for their shady practices and abysmal customer service.
We read the reviews for this hotel and thought this would be a great place to stay. However the reviews/ standards were not what we expected. 1st, we had to wait a while before being checked in. And no info was provided, including breakfast/checkout times. Then there were several issues in the room. 1st the hair dryer was broken. The plastic part on the hair dryer was missing. A serious fire hazard! I tried to call the front desk but the phone was broken. We had to reattach the cord. I called and told them about the dryer. They said thanks for letting them know but didn't replace the dryer. So I couldn't use the dryer. And there was a strange dip in the bed. Maybe it was made that way. Guess not as later we realized that the bed was very uncomfortable! At 11, we heard lots of voices/music. We looked out the window and there were people in the pool. They stayed until 12:30! No one told them that it was after hours. By 12:30 we thought we would get some sleep in the uncomfortable bed. Nope. That is when not 1, 2 but 3 trains went past between 1 and 5 a.m. This is something that should be in the reviews! After the 3rd train, we checked and the window was slightly opened. 1 of the locks was broken. Another safety issue! Now time to sleep. NOPE! Housekeeping knocked at 9! Check out time is 11! We then go downstairs thinking they have a grab/go breakfast. NOPE! We are told there is no breakfast not even juice. Again, this should be in the reviews! I do not recommend this hotel.…
I booked a stay at this motel -comfort suites- my confirmation number was 42889579. The stay was supposed to be from Friday 2/21/20 till Monday 2/24/20. When i arrived the female desk clerk was VERY RUDE. And to make matters worse they had rented out my room and told me i would have to wait while they tried to clean another one. I had just gotten off work ( i was there working at a nearby hospital). I was exhausted and VERY displeased!!
