I will never come back to this resort again. The cleanliness of the resort and the taste of the food ruin the whole experience for me. The grounds are amazingly kept up. I paid for the preferred club to get a ocean view in my view with basically the back of all pool area with a corner of an ocean view.
Terrible beach. No blue water at all. Its all muddy water. Weather was terrible most of the time. Outta 6 days we got 2 good sunny days. Location is terrible but closer to the airport. Hotel was clean but food service was terrible. Tasteless food almost same food everyday at the buffet. Not much vegetarian options. Not everyone likes meat. Fish was dry all the time. Table service was super slow. Pool was great tho very clean resort otherwise.
First the pros - beautiful grounds, friendly staff, and clean rooms. Unfortunately, the cons list is much longer. We lost water two days in a row. No explanation, just wake up and there is no water. Food is edible but just. Drinks are weak. The rooms are dated. While the resort advertises a long list of amenities, activities, and restaurant choices, what they don't tell you is that they are not available every day. Jungle tour is only being offered twice a week, the shuttle only operates on the weekends and only a few restaurants are open each day. Advertised resort coupons are also a joke. You are told you get $200 in resort coupons but you can't use them for everything. Instead, you get 4 coupons for $10 off a bottle of wine, or $40 off spa service, etc. If you want to lay in the sun for a few days and don't care about what you eat or drink, this is probably the place for you.…
The reviews are true. Beautiful resort, awful customer service and old rooms. I wished the rooms matched the grounds and overall hotel vibe. Every morning, the water cut off and my husband was mid wash the first time it happened. Probably would be an amazing resort if they took time to renovate.
Dreams Playa Bonita exceeded my expectations. Please look past the negative reviews. Staff was exceptional and friendly. Rooms are a bit outdated but very cleanly. Food was not the best which is expected at an all-inclusive but the food at Oceana was delicious, 5 stars. Zanchez made my preferred club experience the best I’ve ever had on vacation and even held me a birthday party in the lounge. Although there is not much nightlife, there is a club open from 11pm to 1am that is a great time for a group of friends.
