It is a nice hotel, nothing luxurious but they have what you need. It is clean, safe, A/C, clean and big bathroom...and they have Good prices.

It is on good location, near to everything, so the cabs are not going to be expensive.

The hotel staff is helpfull and nice, they called me 4 days prior arrival to check if I would need something extra for my stay.

Nice pick !

Good option for the low cost traveler

I have just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel and want to advise people that when visiting panama knowledge of spanish is essential. None of the reception staff could speak english and you need to wait for people staying at the hotel to help you interpret if there a no english speakers around you are in trouble. This amazed me until I tried the Meridean reception and the Inter Continental Reception and they suffered from the same problem reception staff with no english. Very few people in panama have a nodding aquaintence with english. Other than this the hotel was good value for money and on the whole staff were very friendly even though they didn't have a clue what you were saying.

After staying in the hotel for 5 months I was 1 day late with the payment because my bank ran their maintenance and hotel charged me 1 day extra.
I have been in 164 countries and never experienced such an insult. Not in Africa, Asia or Americas. Never ever even in other hotels in Panama!!!

I stayed in that hotel for 2 nights with my partner. I only booked it because I needed a cheap place and the recommendations here were decent, but I guess most of the positive reviews are written by the staff.

Do not in any case stay there - you will have a terrible experience.

* Extremely unfriendly staff - they will not be happy to see you. They frowned every time we asked a question and when our Spanish was not perfect, we got nasty comments.

* The hotel stinks, especially the rooms. Its something very chemical, most likely something to kill the cockroaches. We burned incense and candles in our room to make it smell better, but the next day while we were out they had re-fumigated the room and it stunk even worse.

* The sheets were dirty. Disgusting.

* Overall appearance was bad. The hotel looks crappy, the hallways and hotel rooms have weird eerie light and most of the rooms don't have any windows due to the weird shape of the buiding.

* We hade made reservations online and paid by credit card. Once we arrived, there was no record of us and we had to pay in cash on the spot. Later we discovered that our credit card had been charged nevertheless.

Our expectations weren't high, and still we were extremely disappointed and had the worst hotel experience of our lives.

The people at the reception desk will ignore you and keep talking between themselves when you arrive. I had to call their names several times. Then they didn't have my reservation but instead of looking at my email on my phone they made me go over to the computers and print it out from my email lmao OMG I have to do their office work for them after they ignore me. They didn't give me enough paper, point being checking in took too long. The rooms are simple and they have speakers where they play music non stop even all night long. I have never seen this in my life, I just can't wrap my head around this horrible hotel. For laundry services you have to walk across the street and drop it off at a Laundromat they are just as bad as the hotel. They will take forever, not really what I have in mind when I'm on vacation. The remote they gave me didn't work and when I went to change it the lady at the reception desk got mad at me and gave me attitude. The restaurant food is mediocre and the costumer service horrible like everything else. One lady was ok, even thoigh she looked miserable and pissed off the whole time at least she was more attentive than everyone else at this dump. At night I had a thinner waitress that the worst employee at this hotel. She doesn't care about anything and is pissed off and just talking to her friends. She took my order but only half of my food arrived. When I told her that half my food was missing she got mad at me, the chef told her that he knew that I had ordered more stuff. At this point I said forget about it and I left. I went out at night and arrived at the hotel at 2am. They look the door from the inside and have a security guard outside. When I got there the guy told me that I had to wait for reception to be done checking in some people, I looked over and saw 5 people with large suitcases everywhere, at this point I lost it because I knew they would take forever to open the door for me at 2am. I just knocked on the door till they let me in, I was not gonna be standing outside of the hotel that I am paying for to stay outside for a half an hour just cause these people are clueless and have absolutely ZERO sense about costumer care. Costumer care is everything, I rather stay at a cheaper hotel where people check me in and greet me with a smile rather than at an establishment that hires the most miserable people on earth and that most likely doesn't pay them enough or something. This place should not exist at all. The only lady that was nice to me was the one in charge of the tours. She should me some bike routes to get to the canal and to a few other places. She was a sweet heart. I can't give Zero stars so the only star that I have to give would be for that nice lady down there. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

I've been at the Euro for 13 days. Twelve when first arriving in Panama, and now finishing the last day of my (2+ month trip) in Panama . The Euro offers accommodations and value far in excess of the cost of staying here. We originally made a reservation for just three days, expecting to arrive in Panama City and look for another hotel that might appeal to us more. Our search revealed what a gem the Euro is. Nothing we found -anyplace near this cost- came even close. And the Euro has a pool (!!!). Didn't find another hotel except far greater pricing that offers that. And EVERY day that we came back from sightseeing we were VERY grateful for having it. Euro has a nice location (not far from subway), is surprisingly quiet, offers a modest and pleasant complimentary breakfast, has a helpful staff. Both our rooms, as well as the common areas, elevators and restaurant have been very clean. Also serves lunch in it's restaurant: I have to admit that I didn't avail myself of it, but the prices looked fair, and it was always filled with local people. We've had two rooms during our stay(s) and the hot water and AC worked well in both of them. The benefit of the check in/out times can't be overstated. Most hotels seem determined to make your access as abbreviated as possible: The Euro has an unheard check in time of 10:00 AM and a very generous check out time of 2:00 in the afternoon. As I said, we're spending our final day in Panama City in the Euro; and we didn't even consider looking for anything else when we arrived back in PC from Santa Catalina. And after our bus trip we were very grateful for the pool.

The room is ugly... you may choose between a noisy room or a dark room (if you like reading, forget about it - and the TV is very small... so, no options)...

The staff (except for the owner) is useless... they are unable to call a taxi for you...

Internet is wireless, but only in the lobby... no internet in the room...

In sum, for your own's sake, do not stay there!

Miserable start to an Explore holiday. Cremated fish for dinner in horrid restaurant. Charged for a second cup of coffee at breakfast.
Rooms depressing and I'm sure there are much better places to stay - this must be a very cheap hotel.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! One of the employees of the hotel stole my watch that was hidden in my suitcase and also stole a swimsuit I purchased while in Panama City right out of the shopping bag. I noticed a few times when we arrived at the hotel that the receptionist stalled to give us our key so the person in our room would have enough time to exit before we arrived on our floor.

Despite the hotel being in a central location, it's not in the best part of town. Next door is a strip show. The hotel was clean and inexpensive but service was bad. The receptionists are rude, always angry and don't speak a word of English.

If you stay here make sure you don't leave anything you would consider somewhat valuable in the room bc it will disappear!!!!! Also, make sure you don't stay in a room next to the main road... the noise is unreal.
