The first room we were assigned had an odor, we had trouble opening the safe, the glass shelf from the shower was broken and left on the sink, the wi-fi was sporadic, the TV didn't work, and the towels were old. I spoke to 4 people total about this and only Richar and Tiffany were responsive. We were assigned a new room, which was slightly better. We ordered room service and the plantain chips were fried in old oil (rancid) and no utensils were delivered with our odor. In general, there appears to be a lack of quality and care at this hotel.

We had two stays in this hotel. The first one for 2 days air conditioning was broken and we were sent to el Panama by Faranda where the room was very dirty, window broken and bathroom in bad condition. The second stay the stay was in Tryp where room was clean, very comfortable, berakfast was very complete and a great experience this time.

We've stayed in this hotel two nights, one in Feb. and one in March. The hotel is really great, a bit dated but super clean and well connected through the metro. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Breakfast is amazing (although the coffee is filter coffee). I would definitely stay again!

My husband and I travelled to Panama, our first time there, last week (February 15 - 25). We chose this hotel as part of a three day package offered by Panama Canal Tours (staying an extra day) and were not disappointed. This hotel is certainly a great price point and good value. Our stay at this hotel was for four nights and it was terrific; clean and comfortable room, excellent mattress and plenty of good pillows, spacious and with a safe and bar fridge as well as good storage areas for luggage/clothing, etc. The lobby bar hosts the breakfast in the morning which was a full service one; protein options, sweets, fruits, etc and all tasty. The staff were friendly, kind and helpful in most cases. There is a rooftop bar and pool with awesome views. The location is good; near to other restaurants (try the Italian restaurant across the street), a subway if you wish, a pharmacy (which we needed) and small grocer. It is also a few blocks away from from bigger shopping (and a Starbucks, etc) but we did not have a chance to explore that area. The walk to the waterfront is around 30 - 40 minutes but taxi's are also available and very reasonable in cost. My only issue was in regards to the shower. Although very clean (and stocked with shampoo, amenities, etc) it was cold. The temperature, for showers, is a challenge in the tropics, which we fully understand, and sometimes, when many are using it all at once, this becomes a bigger problem. We are used to that and just try to accommodate it by choosing other shower times. However, the young woman at the front desk did not seem too sympathetic as she suggested that we need to adjust our expectations in the tropics. We travel a fair bit and completely understand this as something different in South and Central America but over the course of four days, I was not able to even get any warmth in the water. I was awake at 4 am on the last day and thought I'd attempt a shower at that point, thinking it was outside the demand of busier hours, but it was still freezing. Not luke warm...very, very cold. Finally, at 6:30 am, I mentioned it to the front desk and suggested that they consider looking into it (we were checking out so to late for us) so that the next customer was more satisfied. Judging by her reticence, I am not confident she was agreeable or would try to resolve it. We was a group of five couples and stayed here for one night recently and found this hotel very modern and really helpful staff the bar area is really good and the food is delicious they also let us leave our bags there for three days while we went sailing around the San blas islands and allowed us to have a freshen up shower when we got back.also at 50£ a night great

Stayed here for 4 nights in Nov 2022. The location was central and could walk most places in the area with a good amount of restaurants close by. The room and facilities were very clean. We had a corner room with good city views, The beds were comfortable. Shower had great water pressure. Solid buffet breakfast included, The staff were helpful with all questions we had. Really good 3 star property.

The room smells. The towels are worn. The mattress is old. But the worse is that the room smells. The hotel is obviously aged . THe outlets do have have USB charging and are filthy. The TV are old small and offer a faded picture. But everything would be tolerable except the room smells. I have not yet addressed the issue with management and was told last night that the hotel was full. Nothing excuses a verity smelly room.

It seems that your response was not finished since you address the situation to our staff and they offered you to relocate into a better room but looks like you did not accepted to take our offer. After some research we found out that you were doing laundry and washing clothe in the room and looks like the smell came out of nota good drying of your clothe since there is not ventilation in the bathroom to do this. In this cases our Hotel offer same day valet laundry service to all our guests. We'd like to note that this is not the norm for TRYP Hotel and we truly hope for another opportunity to serve you better in the future. Be Well

Very nice hotel, with great breakfast, excellent staff service, a nice pool area with a beautiful wall painted mural. The staff is incredibly friendly. Parking is free, this is my second visit and doesn't disappointed. Hotel have a new chef with a great taste.

The property was in the city centre close to everything you need to be and not too far from the city center. Staff was pleasant. Rooms were decent. The bar also had a happy hour which was nice if you just landed.
