As two 30-year-old travelers, we recently stayed at the Riande Urban Hotel in Panama City and had a pretty positive experience overall. We had read online that it was a good idea to request a room opposite to the courtyard due to potential noise, so we did that and were glad we did. Our room was quiet and comfortable, with nice air-conditioning to keep us cool in the Panama City heat. The hotel's bar area was really cute and had a great vibe, with a pool adjacent to it that we enjoyed using. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which was much appreciated. While the fitness room was a bit spartan for our tastes, we appreciated that it was available for guests to use. We also loved the hotel's location, which was close to public transport and within walking distance of grocery stores, shopping, and restaurants. the most disgusting place i have ever been. we left an hour after checking in. room was filthy with ripped torn carpet which was stained furniture was filthy room was gross went to the pool and it smelled like a sewer front desk not super friendly lobby and entry make the place look sleek and inviting until u get to the room floors which are dark just awful

The hotel hall is renovated - and very tacky - and the rooms quite outdated. Bed is really comfy, tho. Some of the staff is friendly - not the long hair receptionist - and the pool is nice, but there’re only 6 chairs and you need to get there early if want to guarantee one. There’s no fresh water and no fridge in the rooms, which obligates you to buy water all the time and try to keep it cool in the small bucket of ice they provide. At least they don’t charge for ice. At least that!!! It would be a 3 stars review - and this place should be a 3 stars hotel, not 4 as they claim - if it wasn’t a major issue: the hotel thought it would be okay to rent all the outside areas to become a filming set with no heads up to the guests. When I first got to the pool this morning, there were staff and support actors all over, with no space for people who were actually paying to be there. After complaining, they freed up the space, but all the other areas were unavailable for guests. Besides that, who works in filming and advertising industry, as I do, know how a set is a huge mess with dozens of people around, cameras, lights, everything someone don’t need to have a relaxing day by the pool. During lunch time they put insanely loud music to relax the staff. Honestly, if I wanted it, would have stayed at a hostel. All of this, I’ll say again, without any notice to the guests, we just woke up and saw ourselves in the middle of a filming set - the last thing I wanted after a whole year working at those sets. It’s absolutely disrespectful with every guest and completely unacceptable that they didn’t even let us know it would happen during our stay. After breakfast next morning, what was bad became worse. My boyfriend arrived the previous night, and after serving the very small breakfast, which is enough for me, he ordered a couple of slices of bread more and they wanted to charge for it. YES, THEY WANTED TO CHARGE FOR 2 SLICES OF INDUSTRIALISED BREAD. I have never seen something like that, not even at the cheapest hostel I’ve stayed when I was backpacking. This place is absolutely outrageous and I would give zero starts if I could. There are plenty of other hotels around, so just find another one and avoid this horrible, disrespectful place. Hampton’s Hilton is right in front, has similar prices and I’m pretty sure is much, much better.…

Room was ok but lacks a refrigerator. The worst part however is that as a guest of the hotel you get blocked off from the pool and the bar because they rent the area off for a private party, most of the Saturday. I guess they don’t care much for their guests.

The hotel have an overbooking policy and send me a message 3 hours before my check in saying the had a pipe water issue but when I arrived they had to admit they rent my room and they lie to me, no excuse and no solution except paying more for a Suite

The lobby is amazing and so is the pool. They have a gym and good staff who have been there for a while. I had an American breakfast for $9.00 which was disappointing. The Hampton Inn is across the street which I'll try next time. This used to be The Hotel Granada,

Booked a room with 2 beds at Riande Granada Urban Hotel in Panama, upon check-in at 4 pm I am told that they don't have a room for me in the quiet part? Well, you have a club event and loud music is to be played until the wee hours. They have rooms on the quiet side but not with 2 separate beds which I have already paid for A suite is also offered but on the music side it sounds great but it costs less than my prepaid room Asking for a solution to be compensated with free spa or dinner no no Money back ABSOLUTELY NOT !!! Does the hotel run a nightclub or a hotel? Anyway bad service and an incredibly arrogant way to treat me as a guest but I had prepaid and maybe that way they think they can do as they want To other guests who also checked in they joked if the music got too loud and they couldn't sleep they got free entry Sorry for the income of a room to destroy his reputation does not sound further smart Leaving the hotel and checking into another hotel, just wanted to rest after a long journey and not sleep at a music event When I write and complain and want my money back, I get a reply that the hotel offered me 5 rooms and a suite to watch A pure lie, I got to watch 2 rooms that were of a lower standard than my pre-paid room and I would not get a refund between the difference and the suite also cost less so AGODA trusts the hotel and ignores the fact that I have approx. 100 hotel nights a year as experience, I'm also a new customer at AGODA so I'm surprised at how nonchalantly they treat me and my bad hotel experience = they care not about me as a customer/guest which is strange when they live on us travelers Now it starts, being ignored when I write and questioning their strange attitude of defending the hotel's lies and why would I as a very seasoned traveler want to change hotels especially when we were extremely tired I review the hotel and include AGODA it doesn't get published and can't through AGODA write another one. They think they can silence me and others who are not happy with AGODA Unfortunately I read here on Trustpilot that others have had similar experiences with AGODA but glad this forum exists otherwise I would have thought I was alone in this experience I'm glad I chose to leave this hotel which is more of a nightclub than a hotel and didn't want to give me my money back when they couldn't deliver the product I had bought, a double room with 2 king size beds Will in the future use other players in the travel industry, never AGODA again…

Greeted at stairs with doorman who carried bags in and to assigned room. Clerk was very polite, informative, spoke great English and had good dinner recommendation. Rooms were clean, quiet, and large. Breakfast now served at table side. Delicious omelette, fried eggs, juice. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Hotel room was fine but on Weekend s they blast techno rock from the outside bar so was impossible to relax or sleep. And the bar was empty anyway. I complained to the on duty staff but was ignored. If you want to sleep, choose another hotel. I certainly will.
