This was my third reservation at the Waldorf Astoria Panama. Each one has been better than the previous one. Staff remember who you are and what you like. They say hello to me by my name. They go out of their way to make sure I am happy with all aspects of the service whether it be meal, bar, spa or reception and concierge. I will return for my 4th reservation in June. I would say names, but if I forgot someone, they would be sad. Everyone deserves to be recognized for exceptional service. I am a Diamond member. Have been for about 9 years. International travel is my passion. This is one of the finest Hilton properties in terms of staff awareness and service to guests.
During these troubling times the stress level of staying in a hotel is very high. From checkin to checkout our family felt extremely safe. All employees were helpful and friendly. The rooms and public areas were extremely clean. All guest and employees wore face coverings properly and at all times. Definitely this establishment had a well thought out plan in place.
Out dated, run down, “fake fancy,” and not worth your money or Hilton points. The hotel is so run down that it should not be listed as a Waldorf property. The hotel’s owner claims to not have enough revenue to renovate it and Hilton corporate will not drop it because they continue to collect royalties. The entrance of this hotel is not handicap accessible. They will have to carry someone in that requires a wheel chair. Hilton corporate did not care about this detail. The Hilton 1/4 is newer, has a better breakfast, is cleaner, better pool, and better staff. I would recommend staying at the Hampton before choosing this property. It needs a complete remodel.
We are just returning from a four-night stay with the Waldorf Astoria. Service was exceptional because the Waldorf Panama takes pride in everything they do. The front desk never had a line, and they were always courteous and helpful. The concierge Lille exceeded expectations with a special birthday request and further helped plan daily meals and activities. Valet service was quick and friendly. The lobby bar was comfortably active without feeling busy. Even daily maid service was provided without special request. The hotel itself is a skinny building with only seven rooms on higher floors. Most rooms face the ocean, but only the highest floors can oversee the neighboring buildings. The city view is interesting and preferable for lower floors. Our room 2806 was a large condo suite with separate sitting and dining areas, including a kitchenette. The bed faced large floor-to-ceiling windows with partially obstructed ocean views. Our only complete was the bedroom tv blocked the magnificent view. Diamond breakfast was charming with a buffet selection of cereals, pastries, juices, rotating hot dishes, and a cook-to-order omelet bar. A wide selection of local fruits like mango, papaya, and passion fruit were served daily. Staff was attentive to guests' needs, be they fast-track business travelers or carefree, lingering vacationers. Outdoor dining provided gorgeous city views but was frequently closed due to weather. We will gladly return.…
The hotel is nice, very clean with professional and courteous staff. Specifically, we had a good experience with Victor McColman, the security officer on sight.he went out of his way to help us when we needed assistance. Also,Gina at the front desk was extremely helpful in changing our flight schedule. Definitely a five star service
