This pkg was all inclusive for 3 nites. I reached before check-in time and a room was ready for me which made me very happy. Iris and her team were amazing, helpful and attentive. Shout out to the staff who greet you at the door and help with luggage and show you the room. My stayed was just after the high season, it was very quiet in the hotel. The hotel is few steps away from the Pacific and away from the main road. The lobby is big, beautiful and lot of seating area. My pkg started at 3pm, after 3pm., you can get snacks etc. The rooms used for eating are huge. Few pool bars and quite few restaurants. I did not try any of la carte restaurants. All my meals were buffet, they had Mexican fare twice. For breakfast, I tried the cassava puff, corn bread, I enjoyed the fresh watermelon juice and basil/pineapple juice. The restaurants Staff were attentive and courteous at all times. My room was spacious, had a balcony, and it is, ocean view. Cannot be more please. The bathroom is spacious with stand up rainforest shower and a separate bathtub with lots of towels, they even add a nice touch with mosquito repellents. Pkg with shower cap and hair tie. It was quiet where I was staying, no noise from pool etc. All you hear is the ocean. The bathroom and bedroom is separated by a wall with an opening in the middle, covered with a thin curtain, so privacy with a girlfriends? So you can see and hear someone in bathroom, this is in most hotels in Panama. This property is huge, there are many places to relax, quite few pools including a kids pool. I saw activity for kids, guess during the high season. They have exercising session during day, as for nite life, because off peak, during the weekends. The beach is share with two other hotels and condo. The beach is lovely, the water warm, clean and refreshing, no sea weeds. You can see ships clearly lining up in the Pacific. In the night it looked so beautiful. At the time of my stay, the red flag was up, but you can still enjoyed the ocean. I noticed you can kayak etc. The beach has lots of shells and you can see tiny hermit crabs. Shout out to the ice-cream shop staff, I really enjoyed the ice-creams. I would recommend a nite light, because the lamps are too bright in the nite.

The rooms are really great, the staff are all amazing and helpful. The down side is the hotel liquor is not real liquor. This is from someone who can only take 1 or 2 shots before i have to call it quits. i literally had 5 shot and not even felt mellow. Was this to get you to buy more liquor or is it a country requirement? The hotel did not have excursions. You had to go on yelp or trip advisor to find fun things to do, and pay for rides to and from everywhere. The beach was not an accessible beach you can swim in. That bit of info should have been upfront. I wanted a few quit days in the sand. Fun time with friends but won't go back.

Dear dondit232, Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience while staying with us. In addition, we appreciate your feedback and assure you that it was already shared with our staff about how amazing they were!. I'm sorry to hear that the negative side of your stay with us was that the liquor is not real liquor and was not up to par, at the same time I apologize for the lack of necessary information about the tour package that our facilities maintain with Panamazing tours. Please note that we value our guests' feedback and it has been shared with our team so that we can continually improve our guests' experience. I hope you choose to stay with us again when your travels bring you back to the área and give me the opportunity to make your stay memorable. Sincerely, Guest Relations staff

This resort was ok nothing amazing to me. The food a la carta was extremely good and good portions always. Very presentable when walking in and rooms look good also. Except the pool, they look dirty and no maintenance. No beach, so keep the pools clean!!! If this is your main attraction why not keep it up to date. Also the SPA was the worse waste of money ever! Towels and bathrobe smelled terrible and disgusting. Instead of using glass cups for refreshment, they gave us plastic cups. Come on!!!! The 2 masseuse were good at least, they took good care of us and massaged us well… Miguel Hilbart was awesome! He was very help full and friendly. We couldn’t wait till his shift started so we can go to his areas. He always went above and beyond to makes us feel comfortable in any way possible. We were very pleased with him and some other staff.

The Westin Playa Bonita was a bit disappointing. The all inclusive package was confusing which was partly due to staff not fully explaining it. The resort did not offer much in terms of activities to join during the day or evening. I stayed at the Dreams resort just 1/2 mile down the road in 2019 and felt that experience was far superior - all inclusive package was straight forward, better security entering/exiting the property, different activity choices during the day and evenings and not as large as the Westin so less crowded.

Dear DKunicki, Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience while staying with us. Your experience in our facilities must have been the highest level of hospitality and so far, we were below our standard. I have shared your feedback with the with the entire department staff leadership team to ensure the necessary guidelines are in place and brief and confusing information about our package offer. We sincerely apologize for all the inconveniences you might have encountered and I hope you choose to stay with us again when your travels bring you back to the área and give me the opportunity to make your stay memorable. The hotel reception are is beautiful but the rooms are too humid. , Most of the staff is friendly but the quality of the food and rooms is terrible. The food at the fine dining restaurants is not good. The buffet has very little variety and most of the fruits are canned and you don’t get your worth for the price you pay. The only good thing is the friendly staff.

Lovely environment. Good food in the buffet restaurant. Not so impressed with the à la carte restaurant but it was a quiet time so only two open. Got an email on day of arrival asking if we were happy with everything. Made a couple of requests. Addressed immediately. Good policy. Very friendly helpful staff. Good location - right on the beach. Had a forest view room on 10th floor. Big room with adjacent balcony. Very peaceful and relaxing. Lots of pools - well maintained. It was quiet when we were there - suited us very well. Probably buzzing in high season.

First of all, your experience at this hotel will completely depend on your expectations. We read reviews on multiple sites and had pretty average expectations. The hotel has some issues but we still had a great time and would recommend it if you are accepting of the issues we'll mention below. Rooms: We initially booked a large suite for our family of five. Unfortunately the side of the suite where the kids were to sleep did not have any type of light filtering on the windows - our kids woke up at 5am our first night because of the amount of light coming in through the window. The hotel was gracious enough to switch us to two connecting rooms which we appreciated. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. Beds were great; pillows were way too soft but i think you can request alternatives. Shower was great. I felt like the housekeeping staff was a little understaffed - they did a nice job but even though we would head out of our rooms at 7am, sometimes they didn't come clean the room until mid-afternoon. We started manually requesting them via the bonvoy app so that they would come earlier, that worked fine. Restaurants: We were incredibly surprised by the quality of the foods at the restaurants. We are experienced diners that live in a large city with a lot of great restaurants and were surprised at how consistently good the food was across the resort. Over 7 days, we did not have a bad meal. The Pacifica buffet was quite good. Even after a week of breakfasts there, we didn't get bored with the selection. There are mimosas available but they hide them a bit and you have to find the right person to ask. We also had a few dinners here and the selection and quality was great. The Tierra y Fuego Steakhouse was our favorite. We really enjoyed this steakhouse. In particular, the mussels and pork ribs were great. Asiana restaurant was good too, fish was fresh and tasty. Pool: The pool complex is designed pretty well. There are at least three pools of varying shapes and depths. There's a very shallow pool near the kids club, good for very young kids. There was a more active pool where all of the activities took place and then a third pool, that was zero-entry, easy for folks with little kids. We spent most of our time at the activity pool. On the Friday and Saturday of our stay there were activities like yoga, exercise classes in the pool, foam parties and a huge Spiderman slide brought out which the kids absolutely loved. There was usually music at the activity pool but the soundtrack was limited - they literally played the same five songs over and over which wore on us. Pool Service: This was the resort's biggest weakness. The bartenders at the pool were mediocre at best. They weren't friendly. And not sure why, but they did not seem efficient at processing charges to the room. You'd wait on line for a drink, finally get the drink, and then they'd take 5 minutes to charge the item to your room. There were waitresses walking around but they weren't that friendly either, you could easily go four hours without anyone checking on you while sitting poolside. It was really disappointing. Also, whoever was responsible for keeping up with the pool's cleanliness wasn't doing a great job keeping up. There was a lot more debris (tree leaves, etc) in the pools that we're accustomed to. Club Lounge: We had mixed feelings of the club lounge access. The lounge was not as well equipped as many of the other resorts we stayed at. Food and wine is only offered at very specific time slots and left us pretty disappointed. We wouldn't count on being able to get many of your meals here if you pay for this option. All in all, we enjoyed our time at this resort and would return. If the resort would just focus on the service at the pool and the offering at the Club Lounge, it would be even better.

I consider myself pretty well traveled and I have to say I do not understand based on my experience why anyone would complain about the resort. First of all the property itself is amazing from the pools, to the ocean front, to our suite. Absolutely 0 complaints. The view of the boats lined up to go through the canal was once in a lifetime. Yes the morning tide does pull the ocean out quite a bit but when else are you going to have the opportunity to literally walk on the ocean floor - make the most of it. I found the service to be great and everyone super friendly. Keep in mind treat people how you want to be treated. Try speaking in Spanish to start, say "por favor" and "gracias" - tip well, and you'll be amazed out how well the service gets. If you are rude, don't try to at least speak to the people in their language, in their country, you get what you get and that's not just in Panama that is anywhere in the world (maybe stick to your cruise ship trips) The food was good most of the time, we had a couple mediocre meals but if we didn't like what we had we just went somewhere else - the ice cream shop had wonderful sandwiches and pastries and believe me we didn't go hungry. Now I have no idea how much that would cost had we not been on the all inclusive but I wouldn't recommend staying here without it. One of the other things we enjoyed was the resort caters to people from all over the world there were Europeans, Canadians, many South Americans, and some Americans. The area around the resort is safe and to be honest it's not downtown but the comments of it being isolated are a bit exaggerated - we left the hotel 3 of the 4 days we were there including once to the Albrook mall and I think the Uber was $7. Would stay here again either as a couple or bring my kids.

My family and I had an amazing experience at the Westin. We stayed 5 days/4 nights with our 9 year old daughter. My biggest tip...do the all inclusive. I do not know how everyone was not on board with this option. If you really look at the price per night and what you would spend on food and beverages, it was WELL worth it. We did the premium, so we had unlimited and top shelf everything...including the Italian restaurant that served pizza/pasta to the cute little ice cream/dessert shop near the lobby. Our room was perfect. We had the revival room which was the one bedroom suite with a living area and a half bathroom. I definitely suggest this room size for a family of 3 or more. We did get the roll-in bed which was put in the bedroom for our daughter. The staff was amazing and extremely helpful. The food was pretty decent, but you have to remember it is resort food. If you want local food- go into the city then. We had club lounge access so we enjoyed our breakfast and happy hour there in the evening. I also recommend doing the club lounge if it is an option for you. TIP: Make your reservations at 6am for that evening..no lie. I waited until 8am one morning and there were no reservations left. The buffet is always an option for dining, but if you want an actual restaurant then you must make the reservation's ahead of time. The pools were great and there was always plenty of seating available. The beach is literally 2 feet away and easily accessible. They have a lunchtime buffet that is open to all near the Bamboo bar (hotdogs and hamburgers and fries/nachos). The workout room is nice as well and clean. The only "issue" we had were the bugs outside. Make sure you bring and wear bug spray and bring itch cream because the shop does not have any itch cream or meds for bug bites. Overall, an amazing time and my family and I plan on coming back!
