My wife and I stayed at the W Panama for one night when we were traveling back from our wedding in Mexico. The staff, the room, the spa, breakfast, could not have been better. We had a corner room with a soaking tub(little weird it was plastic but still worked) over looking the city. The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable. I had upgraded us to a bottle of champagne in the room but they had a few little pastries in our room welcoming us and congratulating us on our wedding which was a nice touch. The next morning we went down to the restaurant with the breakfast buffet which was sprawling with options. The attention to detail with just the serving dishes made the experience that much more elevated. They had an entire honey comb that would drip honey in the bowl below or you could cut off the comb with wax and honey in it, very cool. Our flight was not until early evening so they allowed us for late check out of noon. We checked out bags with the front desk and took the elevator down to the spa. The spa was amazing. We had a couples massage finished with steam room and saunas and showers. They staff was very professional, friendly and always eager to help. We look back and wish we would have booked a few more days in Panama. We would absolutely recommend the W Panama to anyone who was going to be in Panama City.

The W is a beautiful hotel. Bedrooms are well thought out with lovely finishing touches - tv, speakers, coffee bar, dressing gowns etc etc. During Covid times the hotel is very safe with clear measures in places, distancing, sanitizer, single use or individually wrapped cutlery, we were even provided with a plastic bag to put our face masks in whilst at the table. I felt really safe and I would certainly recommended it.

I stayed with a friend both of us in our 30’s . We had a wonderful stay. The room was very spacious and offered great toiletries. It was nicely decorated .We had a lovely view of the city. The area is very convenient with many restaurants and a mall within walking distance. We enjoyed karaoke at El karaoke located two blocks away. The food at Carbon y Sazón was delish! We enjoyed Sushi and Drinks at Nacion Sushi also within walking distance . The concierge was very helpful. We booked a tour to Islas perlas ( contadora) with the help of the Hotel. I Highly recommend it. The gentleman kept us updated via wassap until our tour departure. We took an Uber to cinta Costera for seafood, at the open market (so worth it don’t skip the ceviche) On our last night we had Italian at La Strega ( Located near the hotel ) it was very good.

We left this hotel very disappointed and frustrated. We had booked for a birthday weekend and were initially impressed. We already had a good room for our two nights but The concierge advised us that for $100 extra we could upgrade to a corner suite. So we said yes and the view was amazing. It had a spa bath with a wonderful view. The room was very good, confortable bed, lovely bathroom, minimalist furniture. They even sent a cake which was lovely. Sadly when we used the bath on the second night, the plumbing didn’t work properly and the room was flooded. Badly. Half an hour on the phone to get someone to come and help. Another 45 mins and the room was finally dry again. Not the most romantic way to spend the evening.
When we checked out despite being told that it was $100 to upgrade we discovered that it was actually $100 a night! Our ever friendly concierge hadn’t mentioned that. It was clear he had been deceptive for when we challenged this the hotel backed down immediately. We also noticed he had added a parking charge as well when we didn’t use the car park.
The pool area is great - but don’t go early as the area is the smoking zone so there were hundreds of cigarette butts from the night before. Wait till later when the cleaning is done.
We had breakfast on the first day and it was terrible. My omelette was dry and ingredient-less despite what the menu said. My wife’s local breakfast looked like something the cat dragged in. As breakfast was also an extra cost we ate out on the second day.
We tired to book the spa but our phone call request was never returned. In the end we had to visit it directly and there was only one slot available at a totally inconvenient time. This was a surprise.
W Panamá is a high end Marriott hotel. It should have been great but in the end we wished had gone to the Inter Con.

Stayed overnight at the start and end of a trip to Panama. Great location Hotel is part of a bigger office building, so main lobby is up several floors, so ground floor entrance low key Valet parking easy and quick Rooms are usual W style. On my last visit I was upgraded to a crazy party room, which was great although i was on my own!
Pool good, although not quite as rooftop wow as I had hoped. they have yoga on the deck
Bar good and loud on Friday nights
Food very good
Great way to start and end trip to Panama

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel and would recommend to others as they look to vacation in Panama. The staff were all not only friendly, but thoughtful and accommodating. I enjoyed seeing the friendly faces during my stay and they would always ask follow ups to our adventures around their city and country. Valentina at the front desk was especially proactive by spending good time with us thinking through some logistics to maximize our time. Another lady whose name starts with a G (so sorry I can't remember!) was so sweet and happy to see us all. Of course, Francisco at the pool bar quickly remembered our drinks and always had a great smile for us. Throughout the stay, the staff consistently showed thoughtful little details that really made us feel special and that we were very welcomed there. It became known that I was celebrating my birthday with my group of friends, so I was treated with a few above and beyonds (Happy Birthday sign) and the young lady who delivered room service noticed one night and brought up a special birthday plate. :) Location was great - easy to get around to all the places we were interested in going. Overall, I would go again!

This hotel is beautiful. The rooms are as gorgeous as they look in the photos. Most of the employees I encountered were friendly and helpful. The problem is that there is constantly noise. The walls are thin and I wish I had known before booking that this hotel prioritizes hosting parties, loud parties. When there wasn't noise from the room next door, there was music blasting from the poolside deck. I appreciated when the hotel gave a warning that there would be a 5-hour party with DJ and the accompanying noise, and offered the option to change rooms, but I did not appreciate when more than 6 hours later, the music was still blasting and I was told my only option would be to change rooms. If you're going to host a loud party, at least be clear about when it will end so that your guests can plan accordingly. After having unpacked and settled in for the past two nights, changing rooms was not an attractive option. The music eventually stopped, but both the extended period of noise that they did not seem interested in controlling and the apathy from the front desk soured my experience. I would not recommend this property, not would I ever return to a W, since this seems to be the type of branding to which they aspire.

As many reviewers have stated, it is a modern, clean and fun property. We did not experience any noise issues but can imagine some serious partying taking place there in a non-pandemic environment. Staff were fantastic. In addition to great tips aon local activities as well as assistance with arranging for convenient COVID test prior to our departure, they found and returned a small piece of jewlery which had high sentimental value.

As a Designer I love the Ambiance of this Hotel I was in a beautiful suite ( Marvelous Suite 21 ) It was fully equipped with everything you need plus spectacular views The best thing about this Hotel is the staff they are warm and friendly. My criticism is very few staff working and of course it’s probably the pandemic here in Panama Most everything is locked down. But the W still shines bright

The vibe, the helpfulness of the people (especially the concierge Yamal), the location, the pool, the breakfast and the service were all great anda great value (relative to other warm spots on the globe in December). The room was amazing. The spa massages were well worth the price.

I never used any but at the hotel you can eat . Ask Concierge or at front desk about this at the time you check in at the hotel . We enjoyed the food at W’ restaurant , by the way .

We are Marriott members, we get free wifi. I would not stay there. The hotel is filthy, bathrooms are full of mold. The housekeeping does a lousy job. Stay elsewhere if you can.
There are more places to choose from in the Panama City area.
