The room was clean and the bathroom was very spacious. The shower was updated. The breakfast was wonderful. The hotel has everything you need. They arranged a shuttle to transport us to the airport after our original driver canceled.

We took a rental car from the airport and went to the hotel, got stuck in the Friday afternoon rush hour and need 1,5 hours to get there. And then: what a nice surprise. A very well maintained clear hotel, we had a King Bed Volcano View Room (facing to northwest) on a high floor, which was a very good choice as the view is outstanding.
The room is nicely decorated, clean and spacious. We spent 2 nights there to make some tours around San Salvador and also spent the evening there for dinner (excellent!). Buffet breakfast on the terrace includes bird watching!
Service was very good and personnel was very attentive.
All maintained well and in good shape.

This is the second time I have stayed here while in El Salvador. The hotel is beautiful, a great breakfast selection and also has Roberto Medina. By far and away he is the heart of this hotel. He always has a kind word for everyone, whether guest or staff. He is always noticing and taking care of the little things which make someone feel right at home. I have observed him working at all hours of the day and night which proves his dedication. He definitely is a huge asset to this hotel.

Hotel was exceptional clean and I saw staff working to keep it that way. The hotel was beautiful on the inside with great ambiance. The restaurant has a buffet style service for breakfast with a chef there to cook your food. My omelet was delicious and I loved the plantains and assorted breads and deserts. The view of the Sleeping Giant Volcano and the lush plants around the swimming pool topped it off. Far as security, never no problems. I’m from Tennessee if that helps you to know that. Great Stay P.S. They are very COVID-19 protocol conscious. All the staff wear masks and guest must wear them if they are not in their room.

The breakfast buffet is just the best and why we will be back again. The food included made to order omelettes, a variety of fresh juices, smoothies, fresh fruits, hot breakfast foods with great variety, cheeses, made to oder Salvadoran "pupusas", and breakfast pasties. But the staff is what makes the experience exceptional. A special recognition has to go to Roberto Garcia. Look for him if you go and just marvel at how hard this man tries to make sure that every guest has the best possible experience. He simply can't do enough and what makes it so nice is he does it for everyone and he is just sincerely the nicest person. He said he has been at the hotel for 24 years and its his first and only job. He said the hotel has treated him so well over the years and he just loves his job. It shows and sometimes the exceptional efforts of one person is what makes a good stay in to a great overall experience. The hotel itself is great value, clean, comfortable rooms ( even numbered rooms have volcano view - try to get one!), nice pool, lobby and just a pleasant place to stay. But the breakfast buffet, the views of the volcano and the great staff are what makes this place the best choice in San Salvador. Make Roberto's day by saying hello and that you read a review about him and wanted to see if he is as friendly and helpful as you read in the review. You will not be disappointed.

Everyone from the guest service department to the kitchen went above and beyond. My aunt got sick, so the chef went out of his way to make a personal soup to help make her feel better. In addition, the guest services staff went out and bought meds and other remedies to help her recover.

The staff at this hotel made everything so smooth, from the check in, to the continuous checking in to make sure everything was Okay, they did everything anyone could ask for.

Very nice business category hotel with a beautiful view of the local volcano (on one side of hotel). Dining on the veranda is quite lovely plus it is an easy (and safe) walk via over street bridge to a number of dining establishments in the World Trade Center. The staff in the hotel is friendly and helpful.

My wife and I needed a getaway, and we chose El Salvador. The hotel is located in the capital, San Salvador, but slightly out of the congestion of downtown. There are several employees at the front desk including a concierge. Most employees are bilingual. Our room was comfy and clean. Only negative was it didn't have a refrigerator. Ice machine was near the elevator so not too far, but not on every floor. Breakfast was included for diamond members, so we enjoyed the fabulous breakfast buffet everyday. We ate dinner each day we were there. I am semi-fluent in Spanish so I can communicate when the staff pretty easily. But Roberto did a great job conversing with us in English. He was polite and courteous and attentive. Fernando was also awesome. He guided us on places to see while we were in El Salvador and even showed us pictures of places. His English is pretty good as well. Both of these gentlemen were great. The food was good and prices were fair. Gratuity was included on service bills everywhere we went including the hotel, so a tip isn't necessary unless you want to reward exemplary service. Overall, we were satisfied with the hotel. There's a restaurant, bar, souvenir store, and coffee shop in the hotel. ATM is not in the hotel, but it is a 3-4 minute walk across the street. I recommend to Hilton members and other potential guests looking for a comfortable stay.

During my recent visit to San Salvador, I had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Hotel, formerly known as Crowne Plaza San Salvador, and it was a delightful experience. Situated in the vibrant El Escalón neighborhood, renowned for its beauty and affluence, the hotel proved to be a convenient choice, especially for those keen on exploring nearby tourist attractions.

Although my stay coincided with the hotel's transition to the Hilton brand in early October, the staff's warmth and helpfulness were noteworthy. Our initial room, positioned near the emergency exit, prompted us to request a change, primarily due to a lingering humidity scent. The accommodating staff promptly relocated us to a room with an improved view, yet, unfortunately, the persistent odor persisted. Despite the setback with the room, the staff's responsiveness was commendable.

Regrettably, the same musty smell persisted in the alternate room, leaving me to wonder if it emanated from the air vents. This issue, coupled with a somewhat firm bed and the impression that daily bed sheet changes were overlooked, gave me pause. Nevertheless, the hotel boasts a stunning view of the San Salvador volcano, and I thoroughly enjoyed the pool and bar area.

Looking ahead, with Hilton now at the helm, I am optimistic about potential renovations that could address these concerns and elevate the overall experience. Despite challenges with the room, my stay at the Hilton Hotel in San Salvador was overall enjoyable, and I am hopeful for positive enhancements in the future.
