This hotel is my favorite for my stay and stay of traveling group. We spent a week there in October 2018, and were amazed by the great service, cleanliness and comfort of this hotel. Also, its location is perfect and close to many restaurants and also safe area.
We enjoyed our two night stay at the Novo and appreciated the clean rooms. We had two bedrooms with a mini kitchen and dining area. good TV channel choices, WiFi was spotty but adequate for just emails and texting. Wonderful service with caring staff. We ate breakfast twice and had snacks and drinks one evening. We were able to walk in the neighborhood around the Novo and felt safe even at night. I would stay there again.
But not worth the listing price of 78. You need to ask for a discount. The rooms are dated but the beds and sheets are new. Breakfast is tipico and good. Staff is great. I’m not the only person staying here but it’s so quiet you think you are the only one. I only see other guest at breakfast.
The hotel is very clean. The breakfast is ok and the street is quiet. It's a great place for a night or two stay. The staff is very good, and the pool is nice. This is a great hidden gem and the price is very good for this hotel. Those that say it's too high don't know how to get a good rate. I got it even cheaper than what the price is on priceline.
Room was big, there was a small kitchen and a balcony. Air condition and wifi worked well. A small outdoor pool. There was a good breakfest with typical salvadorian food. Delicious fruits. A lady made omelettes. Restaurant was open all day so you could have there lunch and dinner.
Plus: big rooms, airco, great breakfast, swimming pool, restaurant service, fridge, possibility to cook (kitchenette) Min: wifi works for mail but not very strong to use for social media. Some rooms are very dark because of the plants/trees in front of them (although it is beautiful)
Everything was very well, starting off from the receptionist to the restaurant and the room. The whole hotel was very good for what I needed. This is my 5th time staying here not only for the cheap price but how quiet it is even though it's in the middle of the city.
Great place for the money! Breakfast is included! Rooms aren't modern and the location is a bit sketchy but once you are inside, you will feel at home. Pool is small but never crowded. Dinner and lunch in the on-site restaurant is great. we stay here every year for semana santa! Great service, great people, great for anyone on a budget.
Although the staff, with one exception, were excellent, we felt that the place itself was very overpriced. The room was ok, but at this price one does not expect the shower/toilet in-one-room combination, with not so much as a shower curtain to divide the bathroom. There was no in-room tea/coffee making facility either. Again, for the price, a minimum requirement. The wi-fi was also virtually non-existent, a very poor signal throughout the hotel grounds. Now to that ´one exception´. Returning at night, there was no security leading to the parking area. We had to unwind a thin piece of wire that was closing the fragile gate - no padlock, no sign of security. After parking we then had to wait for a surly nightman to open the hotel lobby entrance. He neither greeted us, nor asked for identification, but simply scowled and stepped aside as though we were most unwelcome guests. As stated, all of the other staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Security does need to be tightened, and a few more room facilities added. This could be a very nice little spot to stay in. We sincerely hope for a few improvements, in which case we will happily return for another stay.…
We stayed 4 nights at Novo Apart Hotel. Breakfast was exelent and the the restaurant made us a really good dinner with coconut shrimps. The room was actually a small apartment, no wonder:-). A litlle balcony facing the swimmingpool set in a lovely litlle garden in front of the restarant. The kitchen in the apartment was suposed to have a microwave oven and cutlery. But no, only a few spoons and a knife. Internet was good until the voucher ran out in the midlle of our stay. It was replaced at once when I asked for it. The room was OK tidy and had a safe. The hotel is placed in a relative safe and nice area of San Salvador with a 6$US taxe ride to the Cathedral in city center. There is always taxis waiting in front of the hotel. A driver with the nickname TaTu took us to the volcane park just outside San Salvador, (Boca...) where you can look down the crater and see another crater mouth inside it. We paid him 40$US for taking us to the place, waiting for us and then take us back to the hotel. An OK prize for the 3 hour service. He also drove us to the airport at 06:00 on a sunday morning. 25 $US. We did take buses in daytime. The were filled with people and, but felt safe enough. You will see lots and lots of men with weapons everywhere outside shops and banks. But I would like to say that San Salvador did not feel any more unsafe than a lot of other cities in the world. Take the usual precausions and dont flash your Rolex, then you will be OK. Salvadorians are wery kind people. Give a smile and you will get a smile. We loved El Salvador and will come back.…
