This hotel is my favorite for my stay and stay of traveling group. We spent a week there in October 2018, and were amazed by the great service, cleanliness and comfort of this hotel. Also, its location is perfect and close to many restaurants and also safe area.

I had extensively researched a place to stay and though not mentioned in the "rough guide" of Central America, it came highly recommended by a Salvadorean. The Novo Aparthotel in Colonia Escalon is not only in a safe setting (a rarity in San Salvador) but good value at $55 per night, with spacious air conditioned rooms with a large and very comfortable beds, a swimming pool overlooked by a hotel restaurant serving great breakfast and 24 hr security. Colonia Escalon is a nice area and you can walk around in relative safety. Finding ideal accommodationed in San Salvador wasnt easy and Novo Aparthotel fulfilled all my prerequisites.

what a bargain. this well located, quiet and comfortable hotel would be hard to beat for 40.00 per night. sparsely furnished suites, most with baconies overlooking lovely pool and garden area. splindid full breakfast served poolside included in price. staff most helpful and courteous. good location in quiet residential area near shopping and public transportation. best bargain in extensive trip covering central america, mexico an u.s. highly recomened for value

I will never recommend this Hotel to anyone , what they did to us was disgraceful. We had reservation one week of our arrival , I even call the day befor to confirm our reservation and they said is ok we have you room see you tomorrow , our arrival the next day , we found out that our suite was give to someone else , even that lady name Chacon try to brave us with another suit I couldn't take , she was sending me to the 3rd floor , I'm handicap and with no elevator not only that was molding smell and the furnitures , it was like a horror movie , I will not recommended this place sorry Carmen you did a number , not counting that we spend $100.00 in groceries .

I stayed at Novo-Apart Hotel for about a week, I was supposed to stay longer but unfortunately it didn't turn out that way. The hotel is located near a couple of nightclubs, and the German techno music starts at around 11pm and continues well into the morning hours most nights.

I'm not a light sleeper so it takes a lot to wake me up. I spoke to hotel staff about this and at first they were not that helpful, saying that if it happens again and I'm woken up I need to ring them and then they will then contact the police who will then go to the club ask them to turn the music down. After this happened about 4 nights in a row, I was desperate for a full nights sleep and it just wasn't possible at this hotel. I checked out and went to another hotel.

Also the hotel is not the best location. I was a sinlge female there for work and to be honest I felt very uncomfortable working around the hotel. There is a shopping mall about 15 min walk from the hotel and even the hotel reception advised me to talk a taxi. Not ideal. I would recommend this hotel if you are there 1-2 days but no loger. Its a shame as staff are nice, if not a little inefficient.

I booked this hotel after reading the reviews here and wasn't disappointed.

The service is kindly (though since it caters primarily to regional business folks not much English is spoken).

The rooms are spacious and as the name suggests allow for self-catering with a fridge, and range. The rooms are red tiled and kept spotless although the beds and linen are a bit tired. You get a TV remote when you check in to use on a small TV which does have cable. There is a business center where you can access the internet.

The rooms are around a pool (there is even a tiny baby pool) and leafy courtyard which is where the "rancha" where the restaurant is. There is a generous breakfast buffet with a good selection of hot and cold food, but otherwise the menu is adequate if a little limited.

The hotel is in a posh neighborhood and the cabbies outside are honest and very reliable. The airport is 55 km from San Salvador center and a taxi will cost you $22. The hotel can arrange a shared shuttle to the airport for $10. You can hire a cab for $100 a day and cover what the Greyline tours offer in 2 days (e.g. Mayan ruins of Santa Ana, Lake Cotapeque, Flower Route) or for $60 take in both the beaches of Costa Linda and La Libertad (much cheaper if you do this on your way to/from the airport since close to the airport).

The hotel is on a quiet cul de sac so this place is a leafy oasis in a bustling city. Excellent value for money.

The Novo Apart hotel is appropriately named. It´s apart from the main part of the city while still being a part of the city. The rooms at Novo Apart are also set up to be like apartments.

The beds at Hotel Novo Apart were comfortable and the shower was warm. Not hot, but it was definitely a warm shower for the entire duration of my 8 minute shower, something I´ve discovered to be a bit of a novelty in Central America.

My favorite part of Novo Apart Hotel was the breakfast (Desayuno: dess – eye – you – no in Spanish). They had cook-to-order omlettes (a treat we haven´t had since hotel Aranjuez in Costa Rica), fried yucca with spicy salsa, watermelon, bread, fresh squeezed orange juice, and plantain sweetened and with cinnamon.

People do a lot with plantain in central America. It´s fun to discover all kinds of new options for things we can do with food when we get to a place where we`ll be cooking again.

We could have cooked at our kitchen at Novo Apart… there were dishes and a pan and a stove, but we were only in San Salvador for 1 day and 2 nights so we wanted to maximize our time in seeing the city.

We also had dinner at the hotel. Novo Apart´s restaurant has many options on their dinner menu, and Carrie and I both found options we liked, which included a side salad… something we’ve been missing during our travels in central America.

We didn’t use the pool, but from our experience, Novo Apart´s pool is very clean and a nice place to sit while relaxing or catching some El Salvadorean sun.

Most El Salvador hotels we found were $110 or more per night. At $65-$80 per night, Hotel Novo Apart is one of the least expensive nicer hotels we found in San Salvador, and it comes recommended if you´re looking for a less expensive option where you will still feel comfortable and catered to.

Travelling in Central America for almost 7 weeks "without a plan" we (a retired U. S. couple in our 50's and a retired Canadian couple) did not plan to go to El Salvador. However, we ended up in San Salvador and decided on the Novo Apart-Hotel after reading Trip Advisor reviews. The hotel is in a peaceful garden setting in a big city. The rooms were pleasant. Safety deposit boxes are available at no charge. There is 24-hour security, a pool, and a good restaurant. Everything is well organized with Dona Carmen (owner) on site weekdays. Some of the front desk staff speak English, but everyone is anxious and willing to help with any questions and other travel arrangements. We stayed here 3 nights and returned for one night on our way back to Honduras. We found this hotel to be a good value and highly recommend it for both pleasure and business travel.

Didnt enjoy my stay here.

Rooms were quite poor for the price paid and the noise from outside was loud.

The food was shockingly bad - no choices and taste bad too. Fixed buffet breakfast. I kept telling them I could not eat it cos I am strict veggie but they never tried to help or make me anytihing - wouldn't even get some soy milk.

not what I expect for a supposedly 4 star place.

There were 6 of us with 3 rooms spent 5 nites. We found this hotel to be in a safe area , good staff and great breakfast. Spacoius rooms with airconditioning. Walking distance to some good restaurants and even the restaurant at hotel is great with very reasonable prices. One nite the restaurant staff cooked fresh lobsters that we purchased at seafood market from Pacific Ocean at very reasnoalble price. a great dinner was had by all 6 of us.
