we have made a reservation at this hotel via email as their website is pretty basic and it actually never works properly (we have tried in different occasions) we spoke with someone called silvia which made the booking under the wrong location and charged js twice. however marsy managed to sort everything out even long distance at different times of the day. she is not in charge of direct bookings however she took my case at heart and managed to give us the best customer service ever. definitely we will book again trough her directly next time.
thank you marsy

Travelling to El Salvador, I spent some days in the capital.

From the international airport to downtown El Salvador, it takes about 30 minutes; a taxi costs aprox. USD 25.

The climate in October is hot and mostly very humid

For the hotel Capital you find information on their website or even on the Expe..a website:
Shiny beautyful pictures - a good looking hotel. At least on the website.

I booked this hotel, because of it´s convinient location (close to reach the places where I had to go for business); and because I am not willing to pay the exaggerated tariffs of the international hotels in El Salvador.

I made my booking through the mentioned website; tariffs around USD
55/night; breakfast and free WIFI included; single room.

Walking from reception to my room, my mood was coming down - and when I arrived in my room and looked at the details, it reached an absolute minimum. See pictures.

The size´of the room was OK; the minibar possibly was meant to be for ascetic people, because it was empty.
The floor; with cigarret marks on it. Burned.

The wallpaper in the bathroom was coming off at several places.
The shower was a kind of weak; not a lot of pressure.
It urgently needs some maintenance.

Positive aspects: it was relatively clean!
Internet access was stable and good; and the room relativly quiet.
Breakfast: buffet - but very limitid variety
With real windows to open. Plus the air-condition and the television were functional as well.
It´s a 1 minute walk to a super-slectos supermarket where you find food, drinks.
Only 5 minutes by taxi to the "Gran via" area with a large variety of international stores, boutiques, and restaurants...

Trying to do some sports and taking the adventerous walk from the 7th to the 8th floor where the "pool" and the "gym" are located:

A dangerous stair; holes in the wall, dark - it looked like in a horror movie...

The gym: A dirty, ugly storage area of old 100% NON-functional equipment!

The pool: See pictures and judge for yourself.

Disgusting!

If you don´t plan to do any sports and are happy with a small breakfast-buffet,
spending very little money - it´s an alternative.

Just a so-so hotel. Located a little off the city center. Near a super-market. Also have nearby a Pizza Hut, Wok-on-fire Chinese restaurant & some other restaurants. Can get Taxi easily from here nearby the super-market. Also have nearby Bank & ATMs. Hotel staff is helpful. Rooms are big & have Air-condition. The look of the hotel is quite old including the lobby, room, breakfast hall. Very few guests in the hotel while we stayed. Breakfast is served daily including bread, butter, jam, fruits, juice, some other eatables. About 45 minutes drive to airport. Wifi is not very good but not too bad too for business work.

Price: $59.00 per night.
If you are looking for a Luxurious Hotel, this is not the Hotel you would want to stay at but if you are looking just for a place to spend one night before your trip to the airport to catch your flight early in the morning, than you might consider this hotel.
This hotel's location is perfect. About 35 minutes away from the International Airport and just a few minutes away from the shopping malls "MultiPlasa" and "La Gran Villa" and just one block walking distance from the Super Market "Selectos".
The room was an average room, it had what you need: AC, small fridge, an ok bed but very small pillows (and you only get 2 pillows), a flat screen tv with cable service and a bathroom with a tub and hot and cold water.
My experience: The night we arrived we were welcome at the lobby. The front desk agent was just basic on his personality and straight to the point which is fine with me. The moment I we walked in the room it had this strange smell but once you are in the room I guess you get use to it. The table lamps did not work at all and the main lighting is very dim so I requested to have the lamps changed and so the front desk guy was very helpful coming up to replace both lamps. Continental Breakfast was included just for one person in the room and for the 2nd person it only cost $5.00. It had a verity of food selections like "Omelets, refried beans, cereal, milk, coffee, "Pan dulce", orange juice, oatmeal, bread, butter, Salvadoran cheese and cream.
At the time of check out, Nelly who was working the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I went to get the car from the parking garage and as I pulled in to the front of the hotel lobby I found out that the car had a flat tire. I quickly need to get it changed since I was running out of time and Nelly was quick enough to radio one of her co-workers who seem to be like the maintenance guy. He came and in a blink of an eye he replaced the flat tire with a good one. I was very thank full and glad they had solved my problem. Over all, the hotel might not be the greatest and in perfect conditions but they got some great employees working there.

Handy for the YUCA university if you have business there, but this is a tired old place. Hard beds. Everything about 25 years out of date and a TERRIBLE breakfast of barely warm eggs, platano and beans. Look elsewhere!

This hotel best days are gone, it must have been very nice some years ago. Rooms are pretty large but need some serious updates, it looks old. There is mold in the bathrooms, rugs are old and lighting is dim.

But it was clean and I had a good night sleep.

Over all I would stay there overnight or a couple but would not stay there during daytime.

There are not many better option in San Salvador as far as I was told.

basically you get what you pay for... and you can tell that since the moment you get to the parking lot... the hotel rate is cheap and you are able to realize why once you get there... the rooms are old, yes... clean, but the entire place gives you that feeling that you could be better paying extra dollars and staying somewhere else... it does have a motel feeling... sad buy true. The team is nice and will do all they can to give you a nice experience... Though, the place itself has not been maintained appropriately

As a travel agent ...the experience with this Hotel services are terrible...They are not efficient when it comes to their transport services. A booking was done for a client and as requested "if any special request please call the hotel directly" I did as stated. My client was to be picked up at the airport and when i called to remind them ... no driver was to be found... I called the hotel once again to get this matter rectified and the receptionist ended my call when i asked to talk to the manager. I do not recommend!!!
