The hotel Morrison is a boutique hotel in Zona Rosa. Perfect for our business trip! The staff was very accommodating and made us feel very comfortable. Highly recommended for pleasure and business travel. Great food also!
I found myself unexpectedly staying in San Salvador, and ended up by chance at the Morrison Hotel. The hotel is a long way from the centre centre, but compensates for that by being located in what I understood to be a safe neighbourhood. I didn't know much about El Salvador when I arrived, but the country does have a bad reputation when it comes to safety. The hotel itself was comfortable - my room was perfectly fine, and there is a cosy seating area with sofas. The hotel has a large dining area at the back, where breakfast is served - the breakfast was excellent, with pupusas (El Salvador's maize- or rice-based stuffed pancakes), French toast and fresh fruit. The staff were all wonderful - Doña Doris and her colleagues did everything they could to make me comfortable. They answered all my questions, gave me advice on how to get around, printed out maps and made sure I had their number when I went out in case of any problem. On the less positive side, the dining area also seems to be used as a catering area for training courses held in the same building complex. That could make it quite noisy if your room overlooks the dining area (which mine did, although of course people learning new skills matters more in the bigger scheme of things). Another issue was that you cannot dine in the hotel, only breakfast is served. This was not a big issue for me, though, as Doña Doris directed me to some local pupuserías. …
This hotel is fine, but to be honest I didnt feel as enthuastic as other reviewers of this place. Dont get me wrong there is nothing wrong with its fine, rooms are ok, its in a safe area etc but I didnt think it was anything special. Can't please everyone it appears sorry!
Hi we just spend two week our holiday in your hotel Morrison.as usual we really enjoyed in this hotel like every time we go to El Salvador we love to stay in Morrison this is our 4th time .the reason why we keep going back most important is your hotel staff is most friendly and very respectful from front desk Doris and Marilyn and security guys Manuel and Jose Luis and al maids breakfast lady Letty always make our morning so best our day with their friendly behavior can fine the best way to describe all the stuff. Hotel make feel like home my family and my self we really thank you to your hospitality and most best improvement you did for the hotel. I recommend every family to go and stay in this beautiful place.
My wife, kids and other family members stayed at The Morrison de la Escalon this week and have nothing but great things to say about this small hotel. People were very accommodating and friendly, from the check in, to the ladies cooking and serving breakfast, they were made to feel welcomed and were treated like family. My kids and my wife have stayed at five star hotels in Mexico and stayed at the Presidente Intercontinental hotel in San Salvador before but they would prefer to stay at this small hotel next time they come to El Salvador. My family loved the location, they felt safe and loved the small home feel of the hotel. Gracias a todos los empleados que cuidaron de tan buen manera a mi familia. DHernandez
Very nice hotel! I love the stairways and the rooms! Very clean. The staff is very friendly! The complimentary breakfast is great and my boys loved the french toast! The staff is very helpful also. Felt very safe and comfortable. The patio is very nice with a small pool and sauna and a nice view.
This hotel was a wonderful find. No there's no fancy workout out room or hot tub. But the location is central and convient to everything. My daughter used to live here and informed us this is one of the safest neighborhoods. Walmart is walking distance. So is a movie theater. Wendy's and a mcdonald's. Yet---it was secluded and quiet. Not all the staff speak English but they are kind and amazing and communication somehow was always possible. In a pinch they have someone on staff that speaks English. Rooms were very clean. WiFi was strong. A large container of free filtered water was available that we filled our water bottles with. Free breakfast was made fresh. And wonderful. Everyone is kind and friendly! I would stay here again and again. PS we got to eat breakfast under a mango tree each morning!!…
The hotel staff is very friendly and attentive. It's located in a nice area near several restaurants. There's also a mall nearby, which is a good place to access an ATM. The dining area is outdoors and very refreshing.
I am from the United States. And I feel more at home in this hotel in many ways than I do back in the land of the Gringo. The staff are like family. Marilyn, Doris, Manuel, Jose Luis, Edgar and Roberto and everyone here are warm and friendly. Very safe place. Great taste in music and design. I’m definitely coming back. Soy de Estados Unidos. Y me siento más como en casa en este hermoso y pequeño hotel, en muchos sentidos, que en la tierra del Gringo. El personal aquí es muy cálido es muy amigable. Sin duda volveré aquí. Mike
All the staff are so friendly and helpful. One even walked us to the local mall to help us. Great food. Basic rooms with good air conditioning, hot water, TV, and safe secure parking for up to 5 cars and motorcycles. Great view from restaurant in the back. Waffles and fruit for breakfast included.
