Perfect gem in a great location

Beautiful and unique property in the heart of the old town. We decided to stay extra nights at this location as soon as we stepped into the lobby. Although all staff were amazing, Kristian (?) went above and beyond for us. He was a perfect Concierge and gave us tips and helped us navigate our schedule and Bucharest. To that point it is very centrally located and you can walk to many of the hotspots from this hotel. Restaurants and shops are all around and for what this hotel offers, it is very reasonably priced. Take the chance and avoid the big brands and stay at the Mansion in a themed room, they are spacious and full of character. …

Boutique at it's BEST!

We are fervent travelers and appreciate finding a hotel of superior quality. We found this with the Mansion Hotel. The staff was the best we have encountered and they gave us an experience we won’t forget. It was as if we lived in our own mansion with personable, professional staff with a passion for excellence. The breakfast included with the room was very good and they offered a good selection of foods and also offered eggs cooked to order. The hotel itself was nicely appointed and we really felt at home in our comfortable room. There are two restaurants attached to the lobby and they serve good food. The location is excellent for both “old town” and the rest of Bucharest with parks and shopping centers nearby. We will definitely stay at the Mansion Hotel on all our future trips to Bucharest. Our highest praise ti the staff and see you soon!…

I always like a hotel where you get a glass of bubbles while checking in (see also Agnes in Prague for instance) Only 19 rooms in an historic building, which means they aren't allowed to install lift. Rooms have names (for themes) rather than numbers : I was in Minimalist, didn't quite fancy Gothic....Staff great. The street is pedestrianised so you can only get to the door on foot. Always get them to call you a taxi (there's an app they have) or use Uber. Some taxis notorious for ripping you off. Respectable nones have price painted on side...from 1.99 to 3.67 lei /kilometre. That's 20 to 40 pence, dirt cheap. But when a driver tries to demand 500 lei (£100) for a couple of miles trip you know a con is being attempted. Trip from airport for people in our party was from 80 to 250 lei - but going back pre-agreed 100 lei which seems fair to me and didn't need much haggling. Interesting how everybody was so proud of the Palace of Parliament even though built by dictator and hugely impoverished them. Everybody seems to know it's the second largest public building in the world after the Pentagon. Visits are available.…

Such a great historical monument could only hold an exciting collection of 19 unique rooms, and we are glad that the one we offered was on your liking. It is true that whenever we can we recommend our guests to use our private transfer, because this is the oly way we can guarantee a certain price, confort and experience. Our drivers await and greet the guests making the trip very facile. Your remarks about the regular taxi service is very useful for our further travelers, and we are glad that you were not a victim of overcharging. Parliament is really impressive, being an interesting symbol of comunist megalomania, and it depends about each oppinion, and impact this era had on them. Each room has a theme that is kind of fun. They face an inner gallery, so no street noise. Helpful staff, lots of restaurants nearby. Good breakfast. Absolutely no easy parking. No elevator, so pack light. But they will carry it upstair for you. Would stay there again.

The main aspect that helps in this matter is that everything is pedestrian aroud us, but of course, there is this small downside of not being able to park or reach the hotel by car. We always advise our guests to come to the nearest street, that allowing us to assist with the luggage even from the car, and as you have mentioned, up to the rooms. Wonderful stay!

DH and I spent a night in this hotel after flying internationally, on our way out to Transylvania. Hotel is splendid, clean and modern mixed with traditional architecture. Room was very nice. Ate dinner in the restaurant, and highly recommend. The Old Town is on the doorstep, and great for wandering. Would def stay again!…

Is there a place to park if you are driving?

Dear Kelly, Thank you for contacting us! We are located right in the heart of the pedestrian Old Town of Bucharest, which makes car access being restricted in our area, and therefore, we do not have a parking lot. However we recommend our guests to park on the private parking located 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel, located on the Street Sfintii Apostoli 60. How far from airport. What will taxi cost

Old town and Mansion Hotel is about 17km from airport. Use a meter taxi which you order at the touch screens in the arrival hall. The journey will take about 25 mins and should cost you around 30-40 Lei, which is £6 - £8. Be aware that the Mansion is on a pedestrianised street so the taxi will drop you about 2 mins walk away.

Greetings from Greece! We are thinking of booking a room in the hotel. What is the price from the airport to the hotel? Secondly, what is the name of the rooms that have these amazing bathtubs that are not attached to the wall?

Dear Katherina, Good day from Bucharest! Thank you for your kind interest in our hotel! The price for our private airport transfer is 27euro/way for maximum 3 persons with luggage. In regards of the claw foot bathtubs the rooms that have this bath style are the ones from the Premium category; French and Gothic.
