Has to be one of the best full service hotels in the Cusco region. Amazing views from the lobby, the lounge downstairs and from both rooms we had during our week stay. Many parts of the town are within 15 minute walk, including the market and several big churches. Service was amazing from the front desk check in and check out to the restaurant hosts, cooks and wait staff. The staff truly went over and above as I had altitude sickness from a hike up to 14k’ one day and could not shake a massive headache. My wife called the front desk at 4am and the bellman immediately brought Oxygen to my room to administer for 10 minutes, which helped tremendously. They also followed up with an oxygen saturation sensor and several calls to make sure I was doing ok. Food at the restaurant was very good quality also.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cusco. It's not too far Plaza de Armas by taxi (about a 5 minute drive) but just far enough to feel secluded from the bustle of the the main square. Breakfast was also great and had a variety of options. The entire staff was amazing and super accommodating. They helped my family with dinner reservations and excursion tours which were also pretty great too. Overall, a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. Would definitely visit Cusco again and this would definitely be my hotel of choice.

This would be a 3.5 and not 3. Thé hotel is nice, the staff is good, the rooms are clean. The main problem of this hotel is the noise. If you end up with someone above your room, you’d better pray they go to sleep early and don’t wake up before you. Shame!

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights while in Peru. The property is very nice and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. From Pryska in the restaurant to the reception staff (Gabriel, Lucia) we were well taken care of during our short stay. We received a HH Diamond upgrade to suite 001 which offered an amazing view. Breakfast had plenty of hot and cold local fare options. Absolutely, everything was perfect. The room and all amenities were excellent. Special thanks to the staff for prompt responses to my requests for oxygen and the endless supply of coca leaf tea. Definitely would recommend.

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Cusco for 4 nights total - 3 before our Inca Trail trek with Alpaca Expeditions and 1 night after the trek. We arranged with HGI to store our large luggage while we were gone for the 5 day/4 night trek. Very simple process to do this and all our belongings were kept safe and sound and returned to us in good order. Overall the HGI was a good place to stay. It is is about a 15 minute walk from the Plaza de Armas, uphill all the way. We didn't mind so much since that helped get us ready for our trek. It's in a quiet area. The Plaza is quite busy and noisy, and was especially the night a political rally was being held. I was glad our hotel was not right on the plaza that night. Rooms were a nice size. Our first room was a king-size bed with a view of Cusco. The second room had a view of the courtyard. Both had hot showers, room safe, blow-dryer, and toiletries. One thing to note is that the hotel floors are reversed from the norm. You enter the lobby at street level and then go DOWN to floors 1,2,3, and 4. Ask for a room on Floor 2 or below. Floor 1 is right underneath the lobby and we were kept awake by the sounds of walking, chairs scraping, etc. until quite late at night after we returned for one night after the trek. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and offered quite a variety of choices. The main reason we give this HGI only 4 stars is for the laundry issue. After a week in Peru, we needed to do laundry when we arrived at HGI. Yes, there are laundry facilities in the hotel. However, you can't just put in a few soles, add your own soap, and wash a load. Noooo, they have it fixed so that you MUST purchase a packet of tokens, detergent, and softener from them for a whopping 52 soles!! That's outrageous and taking advantage of a "captive audience." Well, not these guests. We simply bagged up our laundry and dropped it off at one of the dozens of laundry shops on the street right around the corner. It cost us 36 soles AND we supported a local, family-run business. Win-win. And boo on HGI for boasting about laundry facilities they actually charge an arm and a leg to use.

After 4 days of hiking the Inca Tail, we arrived to the hotel at 730pm and were greeted with a warm welcome by the staff. We were exhausted and the check in process was easy and seamless. In the morning, hotel staff was able to arrange and confirm within a couple minutes that a taxi pick would pick us up and take us to the airport, costing 25 soles which we thought was extremely fair. Additionally, we were able to store our bags while we met friends for breakfast before being taken to the airport. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Plaza de Armas, Mercado de San Pedro, and San Blas.

We were upgraded to a suite via our Diamond Honors status. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. They held a bag for us while we went to Machu Picchu. I just wish that the menu was a bit more varied for dinner. I ended up with altitude sickness and never left the room, but the hotel is up on a hill above the main part of town, so you'd want to walk down but take a taxi back. At night I'd take a taxi both ways. A big plus was that they had a guest laundry (one washer and one dryer) so we were able to pack lighter.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was great especially the Alpaca steak. Ample amount of options for breakfast. The only downside is the location from Plaza Armas, it’s on a hill so you’ll have to trek uphill in the high altitude. On the other hand it’s away from all the touristy hotels near the plaza which is nice.

We liked our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. The staff is very helpful. We had a small health problem with our daughter due to the altitude and the staff helped very quickly. Especially the guy at the door (Sinche) was very helpful and gave good advice as to what to do. He was also very quick to provide oxygen. The breakfast is good and all the hotel is very well maintained. I would stay there again.
