Perched above Cusco, the Hilton Garden Inn delights many with its stunning views and vicinity to the main square, despite the uphill trek back. The hotel's tranquil yet welcoming atmosphere is often highlighted, with modern, comfortable rooms and a picturesque courtyard. While the service is generally lauded for its friendliness and professionalism, occasional lapses are noted.
Amenities, including a hearty breakfast and conveniences like water purifiers, receive positive mentions. Guests consistently commend the spotless state of their accommodations, and though the rooms are spacious and well-equipped, some noise concerns are raised. The value offered by the hotel is acknowledged, with the caveat of occasional unexpected charges.

Enjoyed this Hilton hotel expecting a good quality stay. It did not disappoint. After Machu Picchu, this was a good location to decompress and acclimate to the high altitude. Beds and bathrooms were what we would expect in the USA. The location is on a hillside, and a short 10+ min walk downhill with some slight staircases to the main square and market. We took uber/taxi back uphill to the hotel.
The staff is attentive and accommodating. Upon arriving in the evening the on site restaurant was convenient and the food was good. They have a cold filtered water faucet near the restaurant to easily refill water bottles. On site self serve laundry (1 washer + 1 dryer) is available by purchasing a laundry kit (tokens for the machines and detergent). Instead we opted for some laundry services just 1/2 block away from the hotel and paid by weight. Very reasonable price for wash and fold service.
I would recommend this hotel to travelers.

Comfortable beds, pillows, and a very nice shower. After my Machu Picchu tour. I decided to visited the Meraki Spa. Definitely was the best decision . Katty, you are a ROCK. Thank you very much for releasing all the pain and relaxing muscle. Don't have a tour?. Don't worry. The hotel has a desk in the lobby, Laura is very helpful, professional, and patient, answering all my concerns besides being super responsible for clients. The hotel is wonderful! Modern but at the same time immersed in local culture. The accommodations are spacious, the bathroom is modern and very clean. All rooms have carpet, for those with allergies this could be a problem, but the carpet is very new. The breakfast is a luxury, with many varieties. The hotel's outdoor area is beautiful, however, if it is very cold it is difficult to use it. The service at the hotel is very friendly, however, I tried to speak to the center beforehand and it was chaotic. The Hilton chain does not have exclusive service at the hotel, but rather at a network center where they are: unhelpful, confused, it seems like they don't know anything specifically about the hotel. It would be interesting to have a hotel center, or if there is no center, to have an email from the hotel reception and not from the center. Another thing, nowadays all hotels have support for queries via WhatsApp, the Hilton doesn't have it, not the one in Cuzco, I previously tried with the center, but I was informed that they didn't have it. They told me that either the service is with them (they don't know details about the hotel) or it's over the phone (who nowadays calls a hotel in another country?). They don't have a direct email address for the hotel, just a central one. In short: the pre-check-in is very bad, but the hotel, structure, comfort and service are very good. One point to improve: many tours in the city leave at 4 am and for this reason, most hotels offer customers who paid for the daily rate with coffee an advance coffee (snack to take away). I requested this snack the day before the tour at the reception and the girl told me: we don't usually do this, but we will make an exception for you, the next day, along with my coffee which was an "exception" there were about 20 more snacks prepared . In other words, it is a normal procedure that not only Hilton does, but also other hotels. I think it's much more human and professional to say that they do this as a difference and not give feedback as if they were doing you a big favor. At reception there is even a form ready to fill out about advance coffee, in other words, it is something routine. And it's one of the positive points of the hotel, there's no reason to pass on the information as it was. In short: I highly recommend the hotel, but the customer service center and the team's training are not up to the Hilton standard (in terms of after-sales, not at the hotel). but as accommodation it was a great experience. Ah, the location of the hotel is not super central, right next to the Plaza de Armas, but it is very close, I walked every day (less than 1km). But there are taxis everywhere in the city and Uber too, they charge between 10 and 15 soles each way.

This by far is an excellent hotel I would like to thank Lucia for her help with Latam Airlines. The rooms are perfect I had a room on the top floor which is actually the same level as the Lobby as the floors go down the mountain. My room was 007 and my daughters got room 125. We were able to store our luggage prior to staying because I had a train ride to stay at Aguas Caliente so they were kind enough to take our luggage. The restaurant that is located in the courtyard was very good for dinner ( I was able to cut my steak with a butter knife). Fresh Fresh Fresh this is what can be expected for breakfast and dinner. The view from my room was magnificent. Please see photos of the view. You are a short walk to San Francisco square and many other squares and restaurants. Be prepared to walk UPHILL as your hotel is on the very top of a large hill.

The attention of 1st, from Angela who greeted us, in reception with a big smile, Gian Carlo at the door rendering his service all the time, Anali in the restaurant and one more girl in the restaurant who attended us as kings. It is important to emphasize that the head of the restaurant started cleaning the tables with her staff to have the tables ready immediately after use. Impeccable!
If we found it an abuse to have the front desk staff standing still, with the desk so low they don't have the healthy conditions for the spine of their staff. 4 chairs won't make them poorer.

Has everything you need from a hotel. Good beds, breakfast and nice staff. They have a water purifier so you don’t have to buy bottles. This is one of the few hotels we have stayed at in South America that has actual locking bathrooms. Pretty good hotel slightly above the average

After visiting Machu Picchu, then spending a week in the Amazon jungle, we decided to treat ourselves and stay here. So glad we did! Very clean, very friendly and helpful staff, very modern. The location is great. It’s just far enough away from the Plaza that the noise level was negligible, yet only a 15 minute walk away. Mind you, it’s easy getting there but the return is up a steep road with a zillion stairs. Definitely got our attention since it was the 1st day at 9,000’ after being in the sea level jungle for a week. The laundry room is worth every sole. Sure, it’s 52 soles, but that includes a packet of laundry soap, clothes softener (Downey), and a token for both the washer & dryer. The breakfast was better than a lot of the Hilton brand hotels in the U.S. that we’ve stayed in during COVID. A great selection and healthy choices (or less healthy, if that’s your thing :-). Our room had soft, fluffy towels (unlike some places we’ve recently stayed at), the bed was soooooo comfortable, nice hot water & water pressure in the shower, and great WiFi. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to chill and be comfortable, yet close enough to the action of Cusco.

The structure of the hotel is very good. Its environments are beautiful and comfortable, inspired by the local culture. The rooms are spacious, clean and have all the necessary amenities (including acclimating teas - which are also available at the reception). We didn't take accommodation with coffee because several days we left in the morning for the tours, but we took a look and he looked pretty good. In addition, in the morning there is a lady at the hotel selling some typical products and with an alpaca for you to take photos. The hotel is not located in the center, but it is nearby and you can go walking or order an uber that gets cheap. We recommend going on foot and back from Uber, if you are not already acclimatized, because the turn is up. My only problem was one day that I needed a medicine and tried to turn on the reception to ask, but the receptionist was not very willing to help. But that does not disqualify all the qualities of hosting. For more tips on our trip to Peru, follow @viviajando31 on Instagram.

The customer service was outstanding. We were treated like royalty. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was great with too many choices to try everything. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The entire staff from front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant was professional and quick to assist

Summary: a beautiful hotel in an excellent location with terrific staff, fails to deliver the basics of what a hotel needs.
The good: Staff: all very friendly and helpful. Thank you to Anthony at the front desk and Luis & Jose in the restaurant who were stand outs that went above and beyond.
Location: within 10 mins walk to main square (albeit with lots of stairs) this hotel is in a quiet, elevated pocket of Cusco with excellent views.
The bad: Noise/sleep quality: I did not sleep well any of the 8 nights I was here. Beds are comfortable but there is so much noise from the hallway and common areas. Raised the issue with the staff and while they were apologetic, no solutions were offered. They also did not know what ear plugs were, but thankfully I was able to source some from a local pharmacy via Rappi delivery.
Every time someone left their room, the doors do not soft close so you hear a big slam and the wall shakes - as many people leave for their day trips around 3am, this was very disruptive.
Through the vent in the bathroom you can hear noise from your neighbour in the next room.
There is a blinking green light on the ceiling that flashes every 60 seconds, this reflects off the metallic lamp and is like a laser pointer in your eyes every minute. The green backlight from the thermostat can't be turned off, so you have a green glow on the wall all night. It's like trying to sleep on an airport runway after dark.
Conclusion: If I were to return to Cusco, I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

It will help if you have elite status, such as Hilton Diamond status. As others suggest, call the hotel. I found them to be VERY accommodating but they may not have rooms available. When we were there, the hotel was completely full.
There are more places to choose from in the Cusco area.
