Detailed Reviews
This hotel is located in the heart of old Cusco and is great value for the money. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was amazing ! It offered a variety of foods, you were greeted warmly by Epi and Maria, who would prepare any egg style you wanted and kept the eating area clean and well stocked. The rooms were comfortable and cleaned daily. The courtyard area inviting. With the hotels location you could walk anywhere.

We have stayed at this hotel several times in our travels to Peru. This is one of our favorite places to stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are beautiful with some offering little upstairs breakfast nooks. The breakfast is great and they keep the coco tea constantly in stock which helps with the altitude. The hotel is conveniently located near the main Plaza de Armas and there are some great restaurants nearby to try like Pacha Papa and Jack's Bar. The garden at the hotel is beautiful and gets its regular visits of humming birds. The only thing is occassionally the hot water can run out or be sporadic from hot to cold but that's hardly an issue for us as we are to busy enjoying the sights, sounds and flavors.

I chose the Amaru Inca as it was centrally located in Cusco at a good price and the hotel made a great base for three nights.
The location is perfect with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby and a short walk down to the main square.
A clean and comfortable room with a view over a central garden where the occasional humming bird would fly around the trees.
A tasty breakfast with the friendly ladies popping in and out with food for the buffet or to cook an egg as you wanted for instance.
All the staff were really friendly and helpful and given the location, price, room and breakfast this makes for a good base in Cusco.

The location of this hotel is amazing. Sadly the rooms are lacking in basic amenities such as clothes hooks and hangers as well as bathroom shelves and complimentary water for guests. The breakfast is warmed over and under covers although there is a kitchen where a hot breakfast could be served up to order. This hotel needs a makeover.

This is a mid-price hotel in Cusco, a busy and bustling tourist town, and the price to quality ratio is good. The rooms were small but well set up, breakfast was good, and the hotel is very convenient for the city - a five minute walk to the center of town. The staff were helpful and our stay was good. Traffic is very bad in the city and it’s not a simple matter to get dropped off or picked up from here, but it’s easy enough to work out - the convenience of being close to everything makes up for the access issues.

Great location, only a short walk to the main square. Some nice eateries around the hotel too - especially away from the main square.
Rooms were all good. I stayed there on two occasions, once before the Inca trail, and then when I returned.
First time was all good, and on the first floor.
Second time, my room had poor Wi-fi which was annoying. This was on the ground floor.
Breakfast. Lovely.
Staff. All friendly. I think many places do this, however was good to know I could leave my backpack with them whilst I went on a 4day trek.

This hotel totally surprised me, it is beautiful, it has very nice gardens... We were a group of 13 Costa Ricans and all the rooms were beautiful and different... Each one had its touch of beauty... In addition, the service is exceptional, as We went on tours very early, they prepared a delicious snack to take away and the breakfasts at the hotel prepared by Epi and María were simply delicious. You can tell that they love to cook for the guests and that they do it with taste and love.
Thank you very much for the attention provided by everyone and we hope to return.

Stayed here for 3 nights, worst 3 nights of travelling . Constantly noisy at this place, you try to rest for early tours only to be kept awake by noisy guests. Then even earlier in the mornings to noise starts again, there is no respect from other travellers here at this place. Definitely do not recommend this place if you are wanting a quieter stay

+1
Centrally located, with all the services you need (24 hour check-in, luggage storage), this accommodation is a little paradise. Flowering trees with hummingbirds and butterflies and beautiful rooms for example. with winter garden (room 103).
The reception is brilliantly staffed, for example by Stephanie, who easily solves any problem.
The breakfast that Epi and Maria prepare is also tasty. The cakes and honey taste particularly delicious.

We loved the convenient location of the hotel and the lovely open courtyard and wonderful landscaping. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. We had booked two rooms And they were on the ground floor, very close to the Reception - we could hear voices of other guests at night and in the early morning as the windows and doors were not properly insulated. this was a minor inconvenience. there was no toilet roll in our bathrooms but upon asking they were provided.
All in all, we were quite happy with our stay and think that it was good value for the cost.

Si, lo tiene
We left our bags in the office behind the front desk. No charge.
Yes taxis stop at the front door although the lane is very narrow. The problem you may have is that although the hotel is pretty central it is half way up a fairly steep lane. The altitude is such is such that even fairly fit people tend to puff quite a bit when walking back to the hotel although it's only steep for less than a hundred yards. When down the hill it's about 10 minutes,or less, walk on the flat to the central square
HI, you can go direct to Amaru Hostal Group then you can send them you inquiry.
You might be able to get into your room early, but more likely you can/will leave your baggage in a secure area at your hotel. Then go enjoy an early morning.
