We stayed here for one night before our trip to Macchu Picchu and one more night when we returned. In some ways I am very grateful that they had a room for 3 persons as when we arrived our first hotel smelt of paint so we could not sleep there and our guide found us this place for US$ 60 night for 3 persons in one room. They completely got our breakfast order wrong and gave the takeaway breakfast (who was vegetarian) a meat roll on the first morning. The noise was constant all night long, traffic, beeping and dogs barking, we were on the first floor it was awful. The breakfast the second stay was limited but ok and we had the same room as before which was clean and spacious but basically. My friend asked for a bottle of water and said you had to pay cash at that moment, we had just returned from our hike and didn't have any cash it this caused a big argument between my friend and the receptionist. Please trust us to pay you the next day when we can get to a cash machine or bank.

Hotel Aranjuez is a great hotel for exploring Cusco, locating a few blocks from the city centre. The hotel is a common starting point for many tours around Peru. The rooms are spacious and clean, with little noise allowing for a good night’s sleep. The hotel provides 24/7 reception, where you can buy bottles of water and light snacks at any time. The reception staff are very helpful and can provide you with a map of the city. The breakfast included was good, although the choices were limited. The hotel has a nice waiting area on the group floor, providing an area to chat with friends as well as books to pass the time. I would highly recommending staying at this hotel as a base for exploring Cusco!

Located around 15 minutes from the airport, right next to a huge nice Andean market, great place to buy souvenirs, 12 minutes walk from the square and places like the Inka Museum and restaurants, the Hotel itself is fine-we stayed in two different rooms during our stay and one was definitely better than the other. The hotel staff is very helfull and friendly.

We stayed here with a tour group. We had to move rooms as we were told that a group of children were coming in and they would be noisy. This did not appear to be the case, they may have wanted to put us in a smaller room. WiFi was good. The hotel had an operating lift. Breakfast was on the top floor and offered a reasonable selection of foods. The hotel was not well soundproofed. There was a street party on Halloween night and we were unable to get to sleep until it stopped at 3.00am.

The place is already old, the walls are thin, and you can hear traffic outside all night long. Not worth it. Besides, it is not cheap. Look for other options instead. I would say Polo Hotel is much better down the road.

My wife and I stayed here both before and after a Machu Picchu excursion. The building is modern and the lobby is large and spacious, as were the rooms and the "mini-lounges" on each floor. Desk staff were helpful. The location is not convenient for walking to the historic district, but cab fares are very cheap and the ride is short, so that may be a minor consideration. Our first visit was not a good one. It was August (winter), the windows, which ran the full width of the fourth floor room, didn't close well, and so the infiltrating street noise and cold night air kept us up despite a small space heater provided. The bedroom and bath appeared to be clean, but the room was quite dark, since 3 of 4 light fixtures/lamps were inoperable. This speaks poorly of the Housekeeping staff, who should report that to Maintenance. Finally, the bathroom and hall outside smelled of sewer gas, which also should have been reported and corrected. On checkout the following morning I reported all of these things to the front desk. On our return from MP we were given a room one floor up, on the fifth floor. None of the issues we encountered previously were evident this time. Our visit was far more pleasant. We would not return to the "first hotel," but the "second hotel" was one that I would return to. It's just a hunch, but from reading some previous comments back to 2013 I suspect that this building has some issues dating from its construction, issues that may be very hard to permanently fix. I wish them luck.

I read all the reviews on Trip Advisor and I was really concerned to stay at this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. Pros: There is a working elevator. The room was spacious, had plenty of hot water and a space heater. MUCH needed on June 23 (beginning of winter). Bed was comfy and there was an extra pillow and blanket in the room. Again, the room was clean and spacious. And warm. After our previous hotel, this was a welcome "feeling" to be warm. Great location. Near shops, restaurants, very cool waterfall fountain you can walk under. Cons: Traffic. There is a lot of traffic on the streets that the hotel corners and the traffic loud. Cars honk, car alarms go off constantly. By 10pm it had calmed down significantly. It reminded me of staying in downtown Chicago by that time. Before though, I was really worried that the chaos would continue all night. We were on the fourth floor and made a phone call. The person on the other end asked about all the traffic and thought we were outside. Nope. We weren't. When we arrived with our group, all of the lights on floor 2-4 were off. Our kids had to use their flashlights on their phones to find their rooms. It was 5:30pm. There was about a 2" gap between the wall and the floor to ceiling windows. We were able to actually look through the gap in to the neighboring room. Appalled, we crammed the curtain in the to gap. This effectively blocked the sound and the view. :) Probably created from years of earthquakes and shifting. No blow dryer. Had to ask for one a the front desk and was quickly given one. Breakfast was lacking... not horrible, not fantastic. Had the basics. And the crew was working quickly to refill the goods quickly. Overall, I was glad to have a room that had space, was comfy and had hot water. I would stay again.

This hotel is close to places you can walk. There are markets close by and good restaurants we walked to. The hotel sells water for three sol which is a steal! Most hotels sell one bottle for 5 sol. Keep yourself hydrated so you won't have elevation issues. Buy the big bottle if you can and share it. You can use the water for brushing your teeth. Surprisingly this hotel was quiet and very comfortable. Our room faced the street.

For this price, this hotel should have better service. There were no glasses in the bathroom, the wifi worked good just in the reception or the hallways. The owner should invest something into the room equipment as well. All other hotels offer at least free bootle of water, but this one not.

This is a 3 star hotel with an excellent staff that goes beyond and above their duty to make your stay pleasant. The rooms are comfortable. The bathrooms are cleaned but they don't provide extras such as shampo and hair dryer. I will stay in this hotel if I am in Cusco again.
