I had such a wonderful experience here at Hotel Ruinas. I am a teacher and visited Peru and stayed at Hotel Ruinas for our 2 week stay with a group of students. The hotel was very accommodating, clean and the staff were very friendly. One of our students celebrated her 18th birthday on the trip and the hotel was so kind as to surprise her with a personalised cake at dinner. The hotel is centrally located and easy accessible to the main squares. I would definitely recommend staying here upon your visit to Cusco.

Hotel Ruinas is super great. PERFECT location, 2 blocks walking to Plaza de Armas, wonderfully friendly staff, hotel shuttle. Called taxi for me to/from train station twice. Everyone I encountered was so sweet and helpful and pleasant! I had to email with some questions prior to my trip and Larissa was extremely polite and very helpful. I got to meet her when I arrived! My bed was "to die for" comfortable, the room was very pleasant, and clean. The bathroom was great, water pressure and temp were fine. Hair dryer was good for my hair. I made use of the computer in the lobby area, and when I needed a little help with Spanish website, they were there to assist! They kindly held my luggage after checkout until I needed to go to the airport. I had a room at the rear, but

Besides being so comfortable at Ruinas Hotel, the localization is fantastic, it is in the Historic Center, that means, you are in the perimeter of downtown Cuzco and just walk the Four Suyos and you are there!... and call Esther for the tours around the main Ruins...we loved what we experienced.

Cannot fault this hotel, clean, comfortable and the staff were so helpful in every aspect. We left our excess luggage here when we did the Inca trail and when we returned late at night our room and left baggage were all ready for us, great service.

We stayed here as part of our tour in July 2016. The weather was perfect comparable to spring in Florida. My husband had an issue with the altitude while i was fine, but climbing up and down 3 flight of stairs with a 10 lb bag of laundry was not fun. 1 thing to note though is that 1 night when we stayed in at around dinner time as my husband wasn't feeling good a lady wanted to come in our room to hand us candies?!?! We had the do not disturb sign on the door , so i thought that was kind of odd. Bed was very comfortable , front desk was very helpful but the honking from the cars were non stop ... Overall i would not stay here again , i'd probably look for a place somewhere a little farther away from the main traffic and with less stairs or at least a place with

We stayed here twice on our trip. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. Staff are helpful and friendly. Bathrooms are well equipped. Many rooms are lit by internal light wells, rather than outside windows, as we have experienced elsewhere in Peru. This has an advantage of keeping the room quiet and cool, but means there is no view. We would book again.

Nice, clean, modern rooms, good but simple breakfast. Rooms are all up stairs and no elevator--at all! Some rooms open to the main lobby, others chattering and visiting late. Other rooms quite close window to window on third floor, you can look into other rooms! No dark curtains to block light at night .... Bring your eye covers for extra sleep. Service good, some desk girls very shy and hard to hear' Quaint sitting area with antiques ! Unique piano too!

Lovely staff, charming lobby, great location close to the main old town, with comfortable rooms with very nice bathrooms. Checkout is ostensibly 9:00 a.m.-- too early-- and our tired family group (in two rooms) wasn't to leave for the airport until 5:00 p.m. The front desk said that all the rooms were booked for that evening, but I was able to buy the time until 5:00 for a not-unreasonable additional fee. Would definitely recommend to others. Bonus: just around the corner from Jack's Cafe (q.v.).

So we did a little research and ended up booking for Hotel Ruinas, The location was excellent, very centric and convenient (you can literally walk to most places), The hotel itself was very very nice, super cozy and historic at the same time. The front desk lady was super helpful, as well as the youngster who helped us with the bags. They were so helpful and courteous, they wouldnt even wait or expect a tip, as soon as they were done they'd be ready to say bye and leave not expecting a tip like here in the US. We though it was pretty crazy. Got a room on the 3rd floor, excellent view, they actually provide you with complementary coca tea as soon as you get there. Oh and we got AMAZING breakfast in the mornings, Some of the freshest fruits, cereals (super-grains and such) natural

Well relatively peaceful, as Cusco is a lively city! Stayed 3 times over a 3 week cycling / trekking holiday. First time just seemed like such a contrast and place of sanctuary that it was bound to get a great review. However on all 3 occasions it was the same, clean, great service, decent breakfast and lovely building. Not all rooms are large or have huge beds, those facing inwards can be a bit noisy early in morning when trekking groups set off (5-6am) those facing the main road can be a bit noisier once traffic gets going. Hotel is directly opposite Boca (great food) near a launderette (also good) and 5 minutes walk from Plaza de Armas. Looking at online prices represents good value for money.
