Two blocks from the Main Plaza. 15 Minutes from the airport. 10 Minutes from Sacsayhuaman. Very close to Qoricancha temple, San Blas neighborhood, museums, churches. WiFi. Buffet breakfast included. Restaurant. Bar. Laundry service. Money change. Credit card and cash payment. Airport pickup. Tourist information. Pay parking.
I was relocated here as the hotel I had booked was being renovated (I didn't find out this information until I arrived with my suitcase from the airport!). The first room they offered me was dreadful - dark and dingy with no window, but when I asked for a room with a balcony (as I'd booked at the other hotel) they immediately showed me to a better room which had a window and balcony. Having said that, the room was still quite small, tired and a bit dark. It was also not well sound-proofed and there was constant traffic noise throughout the night and early morning, and was rather cold - though an electric heater was supplied. Staff here are very pleasant and helpful, but the breakfast was not good at all and most days I went elsewhere for my breakfast.

Easy to walk around downtown Cusco, but still a very quiet area. The hotel itself was very quiet. The room was fine-but I could hear noise from an exterior wall-some sort of pounding/construction sounds that went late into the night. Also, was awoken early in the AM by loud, barking street dogs. Breakfast was included and started very early (4:45 AM) for people who were leaving on early excursions. However, it was a very basic breakfast-nice fresh fruit, a few pastries, and one pan of scrambled eggs. Tea/coffee. Overall, it was a decent hotel for the reasonable price, but no frills.

Our third floor walk up was an effort to get to (at that altitude- no elevator), the breakfast was the worst of our tour - nothing short of gross. The worst part, however, were dogs barking/fighting all night either kept us awake or woke us up - some people on our tour moved out and paid for their own room at another hotel. Not a pleasant, restful experience.

We stayed here with friends before and after our 4 day Inca Trail trek. Rooms were lovely, breakfast very good, service attentive. The set-up is very unique with various stairways leading to the different rooms on different levels. Beautiful lobby and sitting areas. I highly recommend this place.

I stayed here for two nights as part of a tour I was on. My room was basic but sufficient. The room did not have a mini fridge which I am finding common in Peru, although others I travelled with did have one in their rooms. The hotel does not have a lift, in Cusco with the elevation, a lift would be ideal. They did provide oxygen on request though, which was great, although getting to the 3rd floor took some effort. Breakfast was included and a reasonable variety was available. They have 4 different fresh fruits available and cereal and toast as well as eggs. The location of this hotel was brilliant and close to many attractions. Staff were very courteous and helped with any requests. The neighbourhood at the back of the hotel where my room was, was a bit rowdy on Saturday…

Had a great one night in Cusco at Hotel Ruinas. It is a few minutes walk from the main plaza de armas, so not loud but close to everything. We arrived and the staff greeted us with some fresh coco tea and checkin/checkout was a breeze. A great, large breakfast buffet was waiting for us the next morning. No complaints, a lovely stay!

It is an old fashioned hotel, very clean and with ample rooms. Bathrooms have been remodeled so looks a bit contradictory to the style, nonetheless thanks for the remodeling! Service is great, checkout though is bright and early 9am!

Stayed here with my teenage daughters and we do not recommend. The front desk staff did not once say good morning/afternoon/evening and made us feel uncomfortable in the common areas. There are so many lovely options with fantastic service I would suggest giving this place a pass. Pros: location, breakfast from 4:45am, hot water Cons: no windows that open, old carpets, dirty plastic over skylights, terrible customer service

When we walked into this hotel, we thought maybe we'd made a mistake. We had gotten a bargain online price, and were told it was a three star hotel. We've stayed in places all over the world, and know what a "three star hotel" is like (and believe me that's a fine rating for a hotel. We've stayed in one stars and hostels, too!) Everything about Hotel Ruinas is top notch, 5 stars in our opinion. The front desk, every employee, the room, the breakfast, the cleanliness----all just lovely. We were sorry we couldn't stay longer. Do yourself a favor and stay in this beautiful hotel in Cusco. Lovely location, safe area, and fantastic staff.

The hotel is right next to the JW Marriott and an easy walk to the old town square and many, many restaurants and shops. Our room was quaint with 2 twin beds; although there appear to be other nicer rooms. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The flip side to the great location is the continuous traffic whose sound is definitely audible in the lobby and at least rooms on the street side. Breakfast is good. There's a nice lounge in which small groups can sit and visit.
