I loved it. I arrived to Cusco with my son to do paperwork and was sick with a terrable cold. Thankfully we were in a great hotel. Heater in room, bathtub, comfortable beds, good food and room service, friendly staff and great location.

Nice place to stay and close to the main square (about a 5 minute walk) The rooms were clean. Breakfast buffet was good. You must try the alfajores at the convenience store across the street. Overall, a great experience!

OK, let me start by saying this is not the type of hotel I typically stay in, I’m more of a frugal traveler, but I was with friends and they picked Hotel Ruinas. We stayed for a total of three nights (two before heading to Machu Pichu and one after). First things first, the staff was amazing. There was always at least one person who spoke English at the front desk and they seemed to know what you were asking for before you were even finished asking. I felt very spoiled, a staff member was almost always there to open the front door and to carry my luggage to and from my room. Our room the first two nights was very small and on the 3rd floor (they used European floor numbering…i.e. Room 206 is three flights up) [FYI- I did not see an elevator]. It had two twin beds with a…

We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. It was a relief to arrive there after a daylong bustrip from Arequipa. Breakfast starts really early to facilitate the people leaving for early trips. We used the hotel as a base to visit Machu Picchu. Breakfast was good and the restaurant and reception staff was nice. Our room was clean. We had a good stay here. The hotel is a few minutes walking from the Plaza de las Armas.

I had a very pleasant stay here. The staff are always smiling, friendly, helpful, enthusiastic etc. The rooms are in immaculate order, a radiator is supplied without having to ask and the supply of hot water is excellent. Breakfasts are first rate and it's an easy walk to the city centre. Easy to leave luggage. Very happy with the whole experience.

I stayed here with my study abroad group for a few days in May and absolutely loved it! The breakfast was perfect and complimentary. The rooms are very spacious, and the staff was very accommodating to put up with our group. They even stored our luggage for us while we went to Machu Picchu.

After returning from our Inca Trail hike our plans changed and needed a place to stay last minute and were able to book a room at Hotel Ruinas. Front desk was helpful in helping us change our flights, and giving directions around the city. Location is perfect - 2 blocks to the main plaza. Rooms were very nice, included breakfast was also good which started early, perfect for getting to airport or train to MP. They stored our luggage for us after checkout since our flight was later in the day. Only complaint is that many of the rooms face the interior courtyard, and if windows are left open it can get a bit noisy (but probably quieter than rooms that face the street). Overall, worth the money and appreciated the helpfulness of the staff.
