I have stayed at Ruinas many times, any time I come to Cusco, this hotel is my home base. Last year I brought my family of 7, including 3 kids as young as 9 and elderly parents of 80 years old. It was a wonderful family stay. Other times I have stayed here with friends or solo. There are a few things that are just amazing about this place: Cleanliness: Both the lobby and the restaurant area are very clean, marble flooring that makes its lobby area just wonderful place to hang out, read and sip your coca tea. Rooms are also very nice and clean, especially the bathrooms. Rooms with balconies overlooking Ruinas Ave. are charming, but may be noisy in the morning like 8 am. Rooms on the 3rd floor are like suites, they do have a character, I have stayed here a couple of times and

This is a lovely, quiet hotel close to the center of Cusco. The staff are excellent, the rooms immaculate. We returned to the hotel three times from different tours, each of the rooms was different but each lovely.

We helped coordinate a group of 25 travelers from the States and Ruinas really delivered. Though the hotel is 3 Stars, the location is nearly perfect (3 blocks from the square on flat roads and right near restaurants). Moreover, the service by Larisa and her staff was dialed in the whole time and very flexible when the group wanted to eat dinner in the restaurant at the last minute several times. Breakfast tends to be a bit basic, though with a great mix of regional cereals, and there is no elevator. But the hotel has a sweet, charming atmosphere inside and a bright welcome exterior. We didn't want to leave!

We stayed at Hotel Ruinas before and after our Inca Trek. The hotel is immaculately presented and located in a beautiful part of Cusco's Old Town, with great restaurants and bars within an easy stroll. Staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming! Still missing the breakfast fresh fruit platter!!

We stayed at Hotel Ruinas before and after our 4D/3N Inca Trail tour. Great location a couple blocks from the main square. Customer service is really good as well and the front desk is very helpful. The hotel stored our bags for us while we were on the tour, provided umbrellas when it was raining, and the breakfast was great too. Hotel does provide 1 way pickup from the airport but make sure to confirm in advance.

We stayed at the Hotel Ruinas after our 5D/5N trek from Saltankay to Machu Picchu. They attended to late night arrival when we were hungry. The rooms were very clean, the service was very good, the breakfast bar was delicious. They made sure we had everything we needed. The ambiance is lovely and the people are very friendly. Excellent location to the Plaza de Armas and the whole city. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you!

I loved it. I arrived to Cusco with my son to do paperwork and was sick with a terrable cold. Thankfully we were in a great hotel. Heater in room, bathtub, comfortable beds, good food and room service, friendly staff and great location.

Nice place to stay and close to the main square (about a 5 minute walk) The rooms were clean. Breakfast buffet was good. You must try the alfajores at the convenience store across the street. Overall, a great experience!

OK, let me start by saying this is not the type of hotel I typically stay in, I’m more of a frugal traveler, but I was with friends and they picked Hotel Ruinas. We stayed for a total of three nights (two before heading to Machu Pichu and one after). First things first, the staff was amazing. There was always at least one person who spoke English at the front desk and they seemed to know what you were asking for before you were even finished asking. I felt very spoiled, a staff member was almost always there to open the front door and to carry my luggage to and from my room. Our room the first two nights was very small and on the 3rd floor (they used European floor numbering…i.e. Room 206 is three flights up) [FYI- I did not see an elevator]. It had two twin beds with a
