Had a great stay during our time in Cusco. The hotel is well situated within a short walk to the main square but far away enough that it's not too loud at night. Our room was clean and spacious and they have filtered water available in the lobby to refill water bottles. Wifi worked well.

I was drawn to this property because of their Incan arch doorway, I'm glad I listened to all of the great reviews and stayed here. My room was spacious and meticulously clean. They provided a stocked refrigerator with very reasonable prices that definitely came in handy.

Location wise you are about two blocks to the Plaza de Armas and to San Blas where most of the restaurants and city sights are located.

They put out a nice breakfast consisting of yogurts, breads, fruits, and eggs cooked to order.

I was in Cusco for a four-day Inca trail hike. I left the hotel and returned 4 days later to stay one more night. My suitcase and laundry that I had left behind were already in my room when I returned. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Cusco (which I hope I do).

This place is excellent, very safe and clean and beautiful. They offer free airport pickup and charge 20 soles for airport drop off (17min drive). Their place is open in the day and locked at night with 24/hr front desk security. Everyone is fluent in English and quute knowledgeable about things to do or the town's history. Free breakfast buffet with plenty of choices and unlimited coca leaves for alt sickness. My flight was delayed and they took me straight to my the Expeditions office for an equipment check and briefing which lasted 1.5 hrs during which the driver waited outside for me, before I even checked in and got my room - he suggested it to make it easier for me. Their area is very cool and cozy. The rooms are almost perfect with a nice bed, heating, TV, etc. They also have a sound curfew. I say they earned 4 stars because the showers are dangerous. Be prepared for the water temp to fluctuate between tepid, frigid, and scolding every 30 sec. They provide you with a sealed bottle of potable water to help get you started. I thought it was just me but I heard another guest requesting a new room for the same reason. After my Expeditions, I got a different room and experienced the same thing. It's not the end of the world... Overall I was happy and strongly recommend Rumi Punku.

We loved staying here for our trip to Cusco, the rooms were clean and the staff was so friendly. They made accommodations for fair priced taxis to and from the airport, helped set up tours, Covid test on site, laundry- wow my clothes never felt and smelt so fresh especially after our 4 day hike to Machu Picchu. I can go on and on about this hotel. Easily walkable to all downtown areas. Great restaurants nearby. The breakfast is light with omlets and eggs to order, fresh cut fruit and bread but plenty to get your day started. Tea and coffee are always available. We took advantage of the spa and got a 60 minute massage for $40 USD, it was AMAZING and also used the sauna! The staff is always willing to help and answer questions. I always felt safe and comfortable while staying here. I will definitely stay here again for our next trip to Cusco. Thank you for such great hospitality!

This is an adorable hotel with helpful staff and a nice court yard in the middle to relax. Between the service, amenities, and delicious free daily breakfast, I don’t understand why it’s only 2 stars. We stayed for a total of 6 days.

They have a water fountain right outside of the office with unlimited most delicious filter water we had in Peru. They also have hot water drinking water and cocoa leaves/tea available all the time. I loved the breakfast with fresh cut fruits, tomatoes, cucumbers slices, avocado, assortment of breads, fresh juice and you can order eggs how ever one likes, even an omelette.

The rooms are very clean and the bed is comfortable. They have robes, slippers, shampoo, soap and hair dryers in the room. The shower is fabulous, good pressure and always hot. The heater was inconsistent but we were comfortable.

I also like the location where it’s just on the edge of the city center, so super easy access to the plaza and the markets but it’s quite, so you can get a good night sleep.

I have traveled around the world and lived in all kinds of hotels the last 20 years, but Rumi Punku was truly special.

You know when you find that home feeling, combined with the feeling we all seek in hotels, that someone else is taking excellent good care of you. That's what I found here!
My girlfriend and I enjoyed our 10 days here as our base for exploring Cusco city, the scared valley and back again for 1 night after a 3-day trip to Machu Picchu.
The staff feels like family the first time you see their smiling faces. The location is fascinatingly close to both beautiful sites within walking distance, the city center, right next to beautiful authentic streets and an abundance of restaurants. But you also have easy access to starting points for day trips to other in the valleys close by like South Valley. We used one of their recommended taxi drivers to take us on daytrips, and we truly appreciated their reflections when discussing options.
The hotel is very tidy, clean, and truly beautiful! The architecture is maintained in traditional style with a personal touch on every corner, from the plants to the ox statues of the rooftop. The breakfast was great, and they have plenty of options for rooms and quite places to enjoy the atmosphere at the hotel after a long day.

If you on top of everything that was great by staying here take the value you get for your money here, this is a number 1 of all the hotels we saw and check-ed out in Cusco. My GF is quite the researcher so I would argue that she checked out most of them:P

I rank this top 3 hotels of alle the one’s I have stayed in my life and would go back in a heartbeat. We still close our eyes and smile when we think about the feeling of Cusco in general, but especially Rumi Punku and the kind and generous energi of this place.

The hotel is charming, with several secluded courtyards and well-appointed rooms. Every staff member was sincerely helpful and pleasant. It is a short (uphill) walk from the Plaza de Armas and several excellent restaurants are very close. Breakfast is your typical South American breakfast, with EGGS as you like them. The best things? It is QUIET at night and they have a fountain of filtered water, so you can refill your water bottle and avoid buying bottle after bottle. Hot water can be a challenge if the hotel is busy I suggest, when the hotel is full, shower at unusual times of the day to make sure you have plenty of hot water.

We stayed at Rumi Punku for a few days on each side of our Inca Trail trek and I couldn’t recommend this hotel more. The staff was incredibly accommodating and inviting from the instant we arrived in Cusco with the free transfer to the hotel. Although we didn’t take advantage due to time constrictions, they work closely with a father and son to offer tours of the surrounding Sacred Valley that we wish we would have had time to do. The front desk is staffed 24 hours a day, always by someone with a smile on their face. They also offer baggage storage for free, which is incredibly convenient for people doing treks. They go above and beyond for their guests, even calling a restaurant for us to adjust a dinner reservation when we were late returning from Machu Picchu.

The rooms (of which we collectively saw three different ones) were all incredibly comfortable and clean. The hotel architecture is beautifully maintained and inviting. The daily breakfast was delicious! They have filtered water by the front desk, which saves you soles every day not having to buy bottled water. It seemed as though they were willing and happy to accommodate our every request and they made our stay in Cusco absolutely fantastic! I couldn’t recommend this hotel more.

The “doorway/ entrance” to this hotel is quite deceiving! But once you go thru the gates you will be pleasantly surprised at how beautiful this boutique hotel is with its many potted plants/ succulents/ flowers and fountains. No elevators but they are quick to assist you with taking your bags to and from your room. So clean and almost looks brand new. English speaking staff at front desk. Breakfast in the mornings are fresh fruit/ bread assortment and cooked to order eggs. They have filtered water you can fill your water bottles with right when you enter. They also provide you with 2 free bottles of water in your room.
Our view from our 4th floor was amazing. We loved our stay here!

My husband, toddler & I stayed here and this hotel fit our needs perfectly. Gorgeous hotel, great location, friendly, helpful staff - we really enjoyed staying here. They had a crib & high chair for our toddler and we were very near the center of town, yet the hotel felt quiet and like a little oasis.
