We just stayed at the Palacio del Inca, and it was a remarkable experience. Everyone at the hotel was exceptionally cordial and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. From greeting us by name in the morning to providing guidance and support to make our trip easy and magical. We would like to thank Arturo, who drove us, and Emerson-Waldo for all their attention.

Our Inca trail tour provider recommended this hotel and we are glad they did. The Palacio del Inka was the nicest hotel we ever stayed. Upon arrival we lost our luggage, thank you Delta. Emerson, the concierge, offered to help us. He and his team were relentless in tracking down our luggage and even laundered out clothes in a few hours at no cost. We received our luggage a day before our Salkantay Inca trail hike. Diana greeted us everyday in the restaurant and took great care if us. All of the staff called us by name, making us feel at home. Darwin or Darwinchi as he is known made us the most wonderful Pisco Sours. The hotel and rooms were beautiful, historic and very comfortable. This is the only hotel to stay in Cusco and close to everything.

I have had the privilege of staying in to fantastic hotels around the world, but this must be one of my favorites! The artwork and furniture are stunning! The whole atmosphere is a work of art. Sounds, smells, food, and service. I could write list of all those who served us… Linberg, Walter, Angela, Edward, both Victors (night security helped me when struggling with altitude! So kind!). We stayed here before hiking the Inca Trail and came back for our final night in Peru. I mentioned my wife’s birthday and I had a cake in our room!

The spa experience was exceptional. We had Mayra and Anna as our therapists and Luce was incredibly helpful at booking. We had such a beautifully supported and luxurious time, we would recommend the thermal pools, and any of the massage and body care services highly.

This is the perfect location to explore Cusco. The hotel itself was like a musuem with beautiful artwork and artifacts. The hotel tour was so interesting. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had every type of food imaginable. I was most impressed by the staff. Everyone was so friendly. I met Walter at arrival. After that he always greeted me with a smile and a helping hand. Even upon my return from a week away, he remembered my name. As a solo traverler, it made me feel very much at home to have these pleasant converations.

From the reception to our departure the Palacio del Inka did a top notch job. At the reception, Rhay was kind and welcoming and took note of all that I shared. Knowing it was my wife’s birthday and having availability, Rhay offered us an upgrade…huge room with brilliant colonial decor. Walter, the bell-hop, was personable, bright and enthusiastic…a real asset. The servers in the restaurant, especially Ana, were always so welcoming and solicitous. The spa was incredible, too…indulge in the pre-massage water therapy to loosen you up….Ana and Lintsea will work wonders on your back! The activities desk and concierge was also so helpful with some snafus related to our visit to Machu Picchu…they literally saved the day! We loved every sweet second in our hotel and believe you will, too.
