We were here for 4 nights during December 2021 and was thoroughly impressed. Hotel: This is an old palace ( 400 years ) converted into a a lux chain hotel with 17th century architecture. It is spread out and has several restaurants, lounge areas, a central courtyard where the local people have a small shop during breakfast time with their cute Alpaca. Location: Excellent location just a couple of blocks away from the historic plaza de Armas and right outside of Qorikancha. Most tour companies are close by and so are the top restaurants, shopping areas etc. Covid: The hotel is very large and spread out and we did not encounter too many people within 10 feet distance. They had sanitizers everywhere and people followed the mask policies. It felt safe and Cusco is one of the places where they enforced double masks or KN95 at the Plaza Del Armas area. Most restaurants would check your vaccination card and greet you with hand sanitizers which was very impressive. Service: Impeccable service. In fact when we checked in, there was an error in our booking and the staff at put us in a lower category room; then we told them, they gave us a couple of options and later the manager ( Jose ) upgraded us to a suite at no extra cost and breakfast for all three of us. The servers at the breakfast place were amazing. In fact the best part was that during our early morning tours, they would pack our to-go breakfast and we had to collect it at the reception. Rooms: Unique, very classy and brand new. They had beautiful views. The bathrooms were amazing as well. The room service menu is from the Inti Raymi restaurant and was served in most utmost manner,, world class dining. They also provided bottled waters throughout the stay and did not charge us extra. Overall an amazing place and highly recommended. Will surely stay there again at a heartbeat.

Hotel itself is very nice. 1990's luxury. You can read other reviews for more information on that. Our issue is that they were not at all enforcing mask use in common areas which is against the strict two-mask law currently set in Peru. Even outside everyone was wearing masks and this is the only place we say which such relaxed standards. We were safe everywhere we traveled during our time in Peru but contacted Covid within the hotel facilities on our last few days because of their negligence.

Palacio del Inka lives up to its name. It is a spectacular hotel, almost like a museum in the common areas. The rooms are a bit claustrophobic due to small windows, but they are well-appointed and comfortable. The staff are all well trained and ready to help. I highly recommend a drink at Rumi bar, they made me the best pisco sour I had during my stay in Peru.

We loved Cusco and really enjoyed this hotel as a base. The service was excellent and the location was a short stroll to everywhere we wanted to visit in the city. The hotel has a real sense of place and the public areas are lovely. The reasons for my four stars are that I booked this partly based on the indoor pool for my kids (we had a great time in it) but it is not a standard pool and is considered part of the spa and needs to be booked and paid for private use. This wasn’t clear to me upon booking. Also, we booked a family suite and our room did not have air conditioning and was quite warm for us to sleep at night. The only window looked directly on a wall so I’m not sure that opening it would have helped. Overall, this was a very enjoyable stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel.

We stayed a total of 4 nights here - and it was an amazing stay. The property itself is stunning and located in a great area of Cusco - able to walk to everything. But what really made this an excellent hotel was the service. We walked in and were handed some coca tea right away. You can also exchange money at the front desk, which was very convenient. Our bags were stored here while we hiked the Inca Trail for 4 days and were in our room for us when we got back. Also - shout out to Matias at the front desk/concierge who was top notch. Thank you for answering all of our questions and helping us with ease. We took advantage of the spa one night and did the Thermal Circuit: it is one hour where you can rotate from the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steaming room, relaxing beds & showers. Would recommend! We also had breakfast on the property everyday in the courtyard - so lovely!! They even had live music.
