Very nice hotel. Short walk to the old town. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast. Good service with possibility for early breakfast when going on trips. We stayed 4 nights acclimating before our hike, and 2 nights after. Had our luggage stored while on the hike.

The location of the hotel is pretty convenient if you are taking inca-rail train. The office is across the street. The hotel is cozy, the room a little small no air .. so it gets hot. The staff is mostly friendly. You will be lucky if you cross with Brian, he is the best truly. Breakfast included is really good and you have coca and muña hot drinks all day. This helps with altitude sickness.

Room was average, food as ok, but the reception was terrible - on checkout the reception acted very unprofessional, attacked us and put us into a very stressful situation. Reason was they experienced issues with the payment process. Whilst we were so kind to double check with our bank, which confirmed an fully executed payment, the receptionist was in panic mode. Rather then double checking with their payment provider , they wanted another payment even tried to ask for alternative cards under false claims. We told the staff we are around another few days in town, so there is no need to panic especially since we just returned from a 4 days hike. We showed multiple proofs of an fully executed payment. Because of this situation, we would never come back to this hotel and would also not recommend it further. It messed up our entire afternoon schedule

Los Portales staff was incredibly helpful and kind. They made sure our stay was pleasant and comfortable. The staff members, especially Vilma, who maintains the restaurant side, was attentive, sweet and introduced us to Cusco culture. Muchas Gracias, Vilma and Los Portales staff!

Great service by Brian in front desk and Pedro, Vilma, Jaime in the restaurant . The room was very small and the bathroom really tiny but everything was OK , close to Plaza de Armas and other amenities.

Standard room and bathroom are small without air condition (Rooms can get hot easily). The hotel staff are the best of the facility. Especially Vilma, Jaime, and Pedro from the Cafeteria/Restaurant. I will come back for the service!

This is your more classic hotel which has several floors of rooms, each with a variety of different rooms that face different parts of Cusco. We had a room which faced the back part of the hotel, which was absolutely perfect, as it was much quieter and allowed us to sleep with the window open and not be disturbed in the middle of the night. This hotel does not have air conditioning, but by opening the window at night, it allowed us to have a comfortable temperature, while sleeping . The bathroom is a good size and the water temperature and pressure were great. The breakfast consisted of a buffet of both cold and hot foods and offered a variety of fresh juices and fruit. The location of this hotel is along a very busy street in the main area of Cusco but is a much closer walk to the Plaza de Armes and other main tourist attractions. If you are looking for a classic and standard designed hotel, then this would be a great place to book a room.

Hotel staff was wonderful & hotel itself was so cute! They gave us Coca tea upon arrival and let us relax, which was lovely. However, rooms were way too hot and opening the windows brought in extreme loudness from the street, so that wasn’t an option. If they had working AC this would easily be a 5 star!
