Excellent hotel, always attentive staff, very friendly and proactive. Excellent location, very comfortable and large room, very good breakfast , is less than 10 minutes walk to the Plaza de Armas , and despite being on a main avenue the area is very quiet and safe HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Thank you very much to the staff

This is your more classic hotel which has several floors of rooms, each with a variety of different rooms that face different parts of Cusco. We had a room which faced the back part of the hotel, which was absolutely perfect, as it was much quieter and allowed us to sleep with the window open and not be disturbed in the middle of the night. This hotel does not have air conditioning, but by opening the window at night, it allowed us to have a comfortable temperature, while sleeping . The bathroom is a good size and the water temperature and pressure were great.
The breakfast consisted of a buffet of both cold and hot foods and offered a variety of fresh juices and fruit.
The location of this hotel is along a very busy street in the main area of Cusco but is a much closer walk to the Plaza de Armes and other main tourist attractions. If you are looking for a classic and standard designed hotel, then this would be a great place to book a room.

This hotel is a great value. The rooms are comfortable and sensible, with everything you need including heat radiator, safe, work desk, kettle, and sufficient noise insulation. It’s well located, right across from Qorikancha and the Museum of Textiles and five minutes walk to plaza del armas. The breakfast buffet is nice, and Joseph, Ruth, Ricardo and the rest of the team are always warm and eager to help. Will definitely recommend for your next stay in Cusco!

My stay at LP Los Portales Hotel Cusco was great. I travelled from Lima to this location to do my tours and they assisted with the planning where I had to leave in the mornings early and they ensure I had breakfast to take and for my trip to Machu Picchu they ensure I was well informed. I got oxygen, cocoa tea and other items in preparation for the tour. They were welcoming and pleasant. The hotel is also close to historical sites in the town.

Great place to stay in the city of Cusco. His restaurant is excellent and the service of Wilson and Jose spectacular. They had the kindness and flexibility to adjust their dishes to our request warmly and with exceptional kindness. Thank you.

We stayed at this hotel twice during our tour. First visit, we had an inside room, which was hot and stuffy and could do with a fan and we were affected by noise from the inner courtyard below, if we opened the window. Second visit, we had an outside room on to the main road, which we much preferred. Fresh air and the noise from the road wasn't intrusive. The rooms aren't huge but are comfortable with good facilities. Public areas in the hotel are nice and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was included. There is a water machine for filling water bottles near reception. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. The hotel is in a great location being a short walk from the Plaza Mayor. A great place to stay in Cusco. We would definitely return and recommend.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. My room looked out on to the Qorikancha site and a pretty rose garden green space across the road. The hotel was clean and comfortable and had an interesting breakfast buffet. It’s location is convenient, being just a few minutes’ walk from the Plaza de Armas and city centre with its many bars and restaurants, shops and markets. It is also very close to Qorikancha and a small but fascinating archaeological museum. This hotel was one of the few in our trip to provide access to bottled water to refill personal bottles.

Excellent location in the avenue del.sol, 10 mtos from the square of arms.
The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. The only thing I felt a little warm because the rooms are warm. There is a small standing fan, but when it is 2 people you have to share it. In the bathroom you get soap, shampoo, conditioner but the bathing cap is missing.
Breakfast. It's good. Regular room service.
Friendly staff and on arrival explain everything.
I'd come back.

The best thing about the hotel is the location. It is close to everything, craft fairs, markets, drugstores, INCARAIL, PERURAIL. Therefore, if you travel to Machupicchu via one of these train operators, as in the case we hired, you do not need to pay for the tour transfer to the hotel.
The coffee is satisfactory, there isn't a huge variety, but it's delicious. The beds are comfortable, the room and bathrooms are clean, the shower works well. It doesn't have air conditioning, but I didn't need it either, because it was winter.
Tours from Cusco usually leave at 4 am and the movement of the street and guests ends up generating noise in the room, which was a bit annoying. Another point is that most hotels offer coffee from 4 am due to these tours. LP only offers some bread without filling, black coffee and tea. In the end I thought it was good value for money.

It is a very comfortable hotel and one of the best options in Cusco, we really enjoyed the views from the rooms.
The attention of the staff, the breakfast, the location, are factors that make this hotel unique.
I definitely highly recommend this hotel.

I was there in September, and there was no need for AC. I don't believe the weather is warm enough in Cusco to need AC.
the palace of the sun, Qoricancha is almost opposite the hotel , however the main square is about a 15 minute walk. the more highly rated restaurants in Cusco are closer to the square.
Hi Erin The hotel has a storage area next to the reception desk, very secure and well staffed, we left our luggage there while on a trek. A great hotel choice for a Cusco base, enjoy.
Not sure how much we can help here. Like the other viewer, we booked our trip through a vacation agency and they took care of transportation. We had the same experience with the hotel staff. They really went their way out to be helpful. I'm pretty sure, if you need help in getting a taxi from the hotel, they can help you. As from airport to the hotel, we also saw a lot of taxis around the airport, ready to pick up travelers. Public transportation in Cusco is very limited, especially compared to Euro or US. Hope that helps.
