The Hostel is very simple but impeccable, sanitized sheets, sanitized towels, the staff is friendly, especially the cleaning people and the girls who make you breakfast. Clean bathrooms, hot water at any time, automated heating at night, exquisite breakfast!! The view you have of Cusco from the Hostel is wonderful, it is located in the most beautiful neighborhood of Cusco which is Barrio San Blas surrounded by restaurants and services, near the central square, we are very happy with this pleasant experience.

I stayed 10 days in SWYH and enjoyed my stay. I had booked a private room and I was surprised how good it was (Room Nr.9 on the upper floor), From here I had a great panoramic view of Cusco even while lying on my bed :-). But of course the view from the hostel is over all excellent. The staff is very attentive and customer driven - from the reception Desk to the kitchen. Thanks to all. Breakfast is ok. I didn´t use the kitchen utilities. I didn't use the kitchen utensils, but I noticed that people prepared some really nice dishes.
The private rooms on the 2nd floor are also preferable because of the view and they are more quiet.

The rooms were great, exactly as described, so there was no disappointment there. The free breakfasts were also very good so I’d recommend eating them if you get the chance. If you plans on doing any trips/tours/excursions I would very highly recommend that you book them through James Aguilar, he was so helpful and helped us get very reasonable prices too. The stay in general was amazing and I could not recommend this hostel more to any travellers.

We had a wonderful experience at the hostel. The staff is extremely attentive and polite. The breakfast, though simple, is delicious. We stayed in a double room that was impeccably clean, with a very nice aroma and was super comfortable.

The location of the hostel is excellent, close to several sights such as:

- Calle 7 Borreguitos
- Sacsayhuaman
- Coricancha.
- Plaza Regocijo
- Sapantiana Aqueduct (Sapantiana Aqueduct)
- Plaza de Armas
- Plaza San Blas

In addition, in the vicinity of the hostel there are several laundry, markets, pharmacies and restaurants.

During our tours, guides found the hostel with ease, which greatly facilitated the logistics.

A big difference was the transfer service: they arranged a taxi to pick us up at the airport and covered the cost, which was a great relief for us, that we were adapting to the city. When it was time to leave, they also made the Reservation of the return taxi, and this time we paid for the service.

I had a wondeful 4-day stay at Samay Wasi Youth hostel in March. Location was conveniently close to Plaza de Armas and about a 15 minute walk to San Pedro market. I was in a double room that was very clean, had comfy beds and hot showers! Breakfast was provided and included delicious fresh orange juice, bread and eggs cooked to order. Free cocoa tea and hot water available all the time. The outdoor balcony has the BEST view of Cusco and was a perfect place to hang out with Chuchu the kitty and drink tea! Special thank you to James Aguilar for picking us up from the airport, and arranging for a ride back to the airport. He helped us get student tickets (cheaper) for a Cusco city and archaeological park tour and walked us downtown to secure our tickets. James was very kind, funny, and helpful and definitely made our experience in Cusco smoother and more enjoyable!

The reviews didn't lie. This is the best view in Cusco, up top the hill with a complete open balcony view of the entire city and mountains. But they were also correct that it's a bit of a hike to get up to it, even if you get dropped off by a taxi right at the base of the stairs, it's still another two small flights. This was the perfect way to end my trip in Peru, but I'm glad I didn't stay here my first few nights in Cusco as the elevation made me sick and I wouldn't have wanted to walk uphill with bags. Wifi worked great, breakfast was nothing special (bread, butter, jam, orange juice) but still nice to be provided and wifi worked well. You could hear the party/music celebration happening at the central square from here at night which was fun. This is a great place to sit and relax and enjoy the view day or night. No charging outlets in room, though. Staff was attentive and set me up with a cab to the airport and didn't mind holding my bags safely for the day after checkout. Complimentary unlimited coca tea, of course. Use it.

After making reservations through the Booking app and confirming. And with only days left until arrival in the city of Cusco, it occurred to me to write to them to confirm the arrival time and I found out that they had canceled the reservation only to put it up for sale again and charge more for the same accommodation. They are shameless, rude, disrespectful.

Getting to San Blas is like getting home; you can walk around the neighborhood, without any fear, walk every walk, restaurant, bar, market, church, pizzeria, in short. Inside this huge house; entering Samay Wasi is like getting to your room, to your safe place. Where everyone welcomes you like they already miss you. A strong breakfast, served with lots of love, that feeds you to the soul. Talks with other tourists that inspire you to continue traveling, continue knowing. Don't stop music. Just a few minutes on the balcony, with the wonderful view of the whole city of Cusco, is more than enough to restart and start all your projects strongly. The energy of the Eternal Cusco and the wonderful thing about being there to enjoy it. Tupananchiskama Qosqo.

I stayed for 5 nights in total in a dorm as a solo female and felt super comfortable. It’s a very relaxed vibe and cosy atmosphere. The shower is warm with high pressure which is amazing! The free tea all day is a nice touch too. James was incredibly helpful, he picked me up from the bus station when I arrived, helped me plan my transport/tours for Machu Picchu and rainbow mountain, and whilst I was on the tours he checked in to see how I was doing which was very kind. I would definitely recommend staying here, I think it’s really good value.

A small calm hostel on top of the hill of the splendid city Cusco. Enjoy the terrace in the morning with the served breakfast (tea/coffee, 2 varieties of bread with butter and jam), in the afternoon under the offered parasol or just simply in the evening admiring the city by night.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They keep their word and help you on organizing the most common activities around cusco.
A special Thank You goes to James, who made my Salkantay Trekking experience possible. Caring and ensuring.
