This hotel does not have any heat in the rooms making it impossible to relax without having 3 layers of clothing and long underwear on Really , it’s 50 degrees F or 10 Celcius in the room. Totally unacceptable. The front desk staff was not friendly or welcoming I’m not doing them a favour, they should be happy to see some guests The place is a ghosttown and still with all these empty rooms , I get a room facing the street , and it comes with noise , and it’s constant. no thanks Since I work for an airline and I’m “ only” a flight attendant , I’m giving a noisy room while the pilots ALWAYS get a room facing the pool with NO STREET noise. Whats up with that , it’s CALLED DISCRIMINATION , pure and simple and I’m so over it. You have hundreds of rooms available, but this HILTON COLON has to put lower rank crew in their place by giving them substandard rooms with street noise NO THANKS I will contact my company and request a change of hotel that treats everyone equal. The Marriot in Circular Militar is a good modern choice. Hilton Colon is an old dump that needs a major renovation and a heating system installed NO MORE DISCRIMINATION , THANKS I asked for a key to the executive lounge and showing the check in lady my Hilton Honors gold status , I got the key but she forgot to remind me that the lounge is not open until early evening. HiltonHhonors 998446455 Ruben Visbo Unfortunately , I’m going back tonight , but I’m bringing a heating pad to make sure I stay warm .

If you have time ill tell you why this hotel is the best hotel iv stayed at ,and iv been to hotels all over the world.first off Vanessa at the front desk was helping me figure out my booking before i got there the Corporate office booked me in a different city she fixed that ,the staff is more than amazing Vanessa also set up my ce phone with a local SIM card gave me tips on what to do and not to do ... and so much more i was dumb and lost my cell phone , i had to make about 25 calls to certain thing shutting them of Vanessa and Gabriella made all of those calls . after that i tracked my lost phone with find my i phone i left the hotel in the middle of the night and the young bell boy went with me to a bad part of town to just help me out . They gave me direction and went above and beyond ,Vanessa and the limited front of house staff should be at a Hilton in Paris or any property that really cares about the guest .oh and most of the staff has helped me with my Spanish ,i would come back to this hotel not to see the city as much as i would like to stay here again they did so much more for me i cant even remember it all ,it was jaw dropping how amazing Vanessa,Gabriella and the young bell boy were they took care of all my transportation ,Directions and simple advice ..oh and the rooms were pretty nice

I stayed 2 nights at the Hilton Colon Quito. Jose Gallegos was super helpful with his responses to my pre-arrival email inquiries. The front desk clerk, bellman and restaurant host also provided great customer service. At check-in, I received a Diamond status upgraded room on a high floor that was clean and huge! The only thing missing was HEAT! There is a thermostat but no working heat option (there is a sticker that states No calefaccion / No heating). As I stayed at other properties across Ecuador, I discovered that heat is not a standard or guaranteed option at most places. After freezing my butt off hiking up Volcan Cotopaxi, it would’ve been nice to warm up in a 70 degree room. I ended up using the steam from the shower to warm up the room a bit. This wasn’t a great option, but it was better than nothing. Transportation - My plane unfortunately arrived after 1am, I opted for prearranged transportation. It was $40 US at this time for the one way fare to the Hilton. The hotel also offered to setup a taxi from the airport for the same price. For my afternoon trip from the hotel back to the airport was a more reasonable $20 bucks. Taxi fare from the hotel concierge was initially quoted at $30, but they ended up price matching the estimated Uber fare of $20. I didn’t really care for the neighborhood the Hilton is in. Not really a walk around and chill out vibe, more of a business district. El Ejido park is across the street, but there was nothing particularly inviting or special about it. My city tour included a drive around the entire park and that was enough for me. Next time I would probably stay in a neighborhood with more within walking distance restaurants/cafes etc.

Our tour group stayed here two nights, once at the beginning and then on our last night. Rooms were nice with coffee and tea service. Food was good in Cafe Colon. Location is perfect to visit the nearby artisan market only a few blocks away. Staff were very friendly. The woman working the front desk emailed me my PCR test results and printed me out a copy.
