My wife and I stayed for three nights at Hotel Antumalal in mid-November 2018. It was far and away the nicest of the hotels we stayed during our visit to Chile. The hotel is reflective of the beautiful lakeside and mountain framed surroundings with full windows, beautiful wood paneling, constant fires in the huge wood burning fireplaces. The rooms are extremely comfortable with fireplaces and beautiful views. The attached restaurant is very nice and the included breakfast was delicious. Most of all, the staff were so friendly and helpful. They advise on daily itineraries and guided tours and even went so far as to clean our very, very muddy shoes from a long trek in one of the parks. If you are in Chile, you should certainly visit Pucon and if in Pucon, you should…
As you arrive at the hotel you may be wondering what sort of place greets you with a long corridor running up to the entrance. Suspend your judgment. As you enter this Bauhaus inspired building and you reach your room, any concerns will become dispelled. Views from the windows are stunning and the unusual design seems just right for its situation. The gardens are gorgeous. Friendly reception and helpful staff make this place as good as it is. Breakfast with freshly cooked eggs was excellent. For us, the ease of access to the town and proximity to attractions added to the enjoyment of our stay.
Had the cabin by the lake which involves a lot of rough stone steps (husband did slip and land heavily in the wet, so be careful) but it was well worth the effort. Service was exceptional, the bird watching trip very good as was the volcano and caves. Breakfast served fresh cooked eggs with plenty of choice at the buffet. Had one dinner, which was good, some of veggies and salad grown in the garden. Spa was right by our cabin and was large and welcoming.
Absolutely perfect little gem with an amazing view, beautiful and purposeful architecture and impeccable service. Staff is extremely friendly, the common areas are absurdly cosy, the view is unbelievable.
I stayed 5 nights in this hotel with my wife and 2 daughters (4 and 7 years old). For those who are looking for a really nice bedroom, quietness and a peaceful landscape the Antumalal Hotel is your place. We had a great time and found the calmness that we were looking for.
