The hotel is very beautiful, including the rooms, the amazing views over the lake and distant mountains, an excellent spa/pool building (with the same amazing views, and lovely fern-covered rocks built-in) and fires in almost all rooms (including lounges and bedrooms). The only downside is that the restaurant (dinner) food is terrible. It was already a bad sign that almost no-one was eating there, and the food was neither as described in the menu, nor remotely edible. Eat in town!
Comfortable with beautiful views. Walking distance to town. The hotel can arrange fantastic excursions. We hiked with great guides who taught us about the plant/animal life as well as culture/history. The highlight was a helicopter tour over the volcano. We stayed for 4 nights with our 20 yr old son.
My husband and I stayed here for four nights at the end of a two-week self guided adventure to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Starting in Santiago and visiting Valparaiso, the Chilean coast north of Viña Del Mar, crossing the Andes, eating and drinking in Mendoza wine regions, and finally to the lake region of Chile. We needed to rest and reflect. This is the perfect place. Hotel Antumalal is small and intimate and set in magnificent surroundings. It has an interesting history and architecture. The spa is especially wonderful. I had the best massage of my life. Ask for Patty. She is as good as they come. A combination of deep tissue, Reiki, foot reflexology. Not to be missed.
This is a delightful place to stay, the grounds and the hotel are stunning and all the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. We ate in the restaurant a couple of nights as the food is so good and fresh, they use their own grown salad and vegetables, they also have a great wine selection. We tried a Pisco Sour and it was one of the best we had in Chile. There is a spa and swimming pool, you need to ask at reception to get the sauna turned on but it only take about 30 mins to warm up. We were lucky when we were there that it was early in the season so it was very quiet and relaxing at the pool. The hotel is about a 15 min walk from town and there is a path beside the road, you will need a torch at night though, there is no need to take a taxi. The rooms are a bit…
We spent two nights here during our trip to Pucon. There's no need to leave the grounds. The restaurant is fantastic. The grounds are gorgeous. The spa is luxurious. There are great spaces to sit by a fire and read a book or go outside and enjoy the landscape from the many benches. The staff is also wonderful. The day we left they packed lunches and water for us to take hiking. Our room was small, as was the bathroom, but the view was beautiful.
