Hotel Boss garners positive comments for its cleanliness and prime location, making it a convenient choice for exploring the city. Guests have called out the well-maintained rooms, though some find them small and affected by noise due to insufficient soundproofing.
The service receives mixed reviews, with some staff members falling short of professional standards. While the amenities like the pool and gym are a hit, the limited breakfast options and space in facilities don't always live up to guests' expectations of a 4-star establishment.

A 5-minute walk from Lavender Metro Station. The walkway from the station to the hotel has a roof, so you can walk away from the rain and sunshine. It was also a 10-minute walk from Arab Street, a tourist destination, and a 15-minute walk from Little India, both within walking distance, making the location very convenient. There was also a cheap and delicious food court just outside Lavender Station. There are many restaurants next to the hotel, and there is a famous Hainan chicken rice restaurant, which was delicious. The hotel was a big hotel with a lot of group guests, and the lobby was spacious, but I was worried about the loud noise from the hallway at night. The rooms were quite small, even for twins, but the bathrooms were easy to use as it was a relatively new hotel. The only towels in the room were bath towels, and I thought it would be more convenient to have smaller towels like face towels. We also had an electric kettle, coffee and tea making facilities, and daily mineral water bottle service, which we appreciated. The hairdryer was provided in the desk drawer. Disposable slippers were also provided in the next drawer. They also cleaned my room every day. On the fourth floor, there was a large outdoor pool that guests were free to enter, and there were bath towels by the pool for families to enjoy. We used it, too. It felt really good. With easy access to city centre tourist destinations such as Merlion and Gardens by the Bay and good value for money, I think it is a good overall Singapore tourism option.

Hotel Boss is inside the city. Rooms are small, hygienic is optimum . AC is controlled by the admin department and could not able to change the settings to maintain the temperature. Complimentary break fast is same menu and no change in the food with limited menu options and you will get bored if you stay more thank a day. Break fast premises is over crowded and you can't even get the plates or food at the right time. Overall the hotel boss is not as good with the money you spent

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveler reviews.
It is in Little India. Centrally located, Indian restaurants, market, Food court are within the range of 1.5 KMs. The very famous market Bugis Street is also 2 KMs from here. We were 10 people and booked 4 rooms for 5 days.
Rooms and washrooms are very small. During the check-in time no one was there to assist with the luggage. Despite of requesting them to help we were asked to wait for half an hour or else carry it on your own. Housekeeping staffs are not cooperative at all and do not clean the rooms properly. They only set the bedsheets and change towel and nothing else. Coffee mugs were not replaced on regular basis. They don't even refill the sugar & coffee packets and soaps. Asked multiple times to help with the things but they completely ignored it. Not even a single day they did dusting on the tables.
No doubt hotel is very clean and well maintained.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. We arrived mid-morning and the reception staff were very good, allocating us a room immediately. (We were also able to have a later checkout at no extra charge.) The swimming pool was very welcome after spending many hours each day walking around the city and gardens. The easy walk to the Lavender MRT was also a bonus.
However, we were essentially very disappointed with the Hotel Boss. Entering the hotel, the lobby was very impressive, as was the service at reception. However, when we were taken up to our room, we were less than impressed. The “Superior Double” room was so tiny that only one bedside cabinet could be fitted in next to the bed. There was only one suitcase stand and not enough room to put the other suitcase on a chair, against the wall. The bathroom was miniscule and only one person could be in there at a time unless one person was in the shower. I don’t know how big people would have fitted on the toilet which was squashed in between the shower screen and the small wash basin, no vanity. Only 1 towel per guest was supplied and a bathmat. We requested face washers and hand towels but these were not available. The toilet paper dispenser and the tissue box were filled with identical paper – small thin squares. My husband complained about the size of the room and was offered another room at a cost of $40 (Singapore) a night. The room was marginally bigger but the main benefit of the second room was that it had a balcony. The bathroom unfortunately, was just as small as in the original room. 2 coffee mugs were the only drinking vessels on hand. We requested some glasses but were told these would not be supplied either. We tried both the breakfast rooms but was not happy with the choices or quality of the food in either venue and ended up just choosing tea and toast. We consider that the Hotel Boss was more like a back packer's hostel that a 4-star hotel. The majority of the guests were definitely in the back packer age group. Before leaving Perth, we checked the hotel on the internet. The photos on the website were nothing like the actual rooms. When my husband mentioned this to the staff at the front desk he was told “oh that’s for promotional advertising only”. Well, that was false advertising!! If you can afford a better quality hotel, I would suggest you look further afield than the Hotel Boss. Personally, we will never stay here again.

Dear 63Joan51, Thank you so much for sharing your detailed feedback regarding your recent stay at Hotel Boss. We truly appreciate you taking the time to provide both positive comments and constructive criticism, as it helps us to continuously improve our services. We are pleased to hear that our reception staff provided a warm welcome, and that you enjoyed the swimming pool and the convenient access to the Lavender MRT. However, we are deeply sorry to learn that the room and amenities did not meet your expectations, and we sincerely apologize for any discomfort this may have caused. Regarding the room size and bathroom layout, the bathroom layout is consistent across all room categories. We truly value your input and understand that the space may have felt limited. We also regret that the towel and bathmat provision was not as expected. Additional towels and bathmats are always available upon request, and we apologize for not communicating this clearly during your stay. As for the hand towels and glasses, we truly apologize for the inconvenience caused. Unfortunately, they are not part of our standard amenities, and we deeply regret that this impacted your experience. We strive to ensure that all our promotional materials accurately represent our rooms, and we are sorry if the information shared by our staff was misleading. Our website includes details about room sizes, and the images are intended to illustrate the general style of our rooms. We regret any misunderstanding this may have caused. Lastly, we are sorry to hear that the breakfast offerings did not meet your expectations. We will certainly onwards these feedback raised to both the restaurants to ensure they satisfy the needs of all our guests. Once again, we truly appreciate your valuable feedback, and we are sincerely sorry that we fell short of your expectations. We hope you will give us another chance to provide you with a more comfortable and enjoyable stay in the future. Best regards, Hidayah Hotel Boss Team

We initially booked a twin superior but then contacted the hotel asking was it a disabled room as this is what we required ? They said they would show us both rooms to see which was better for us? On arrival we were shown the disabled room only it had one single bed which would be no good for us but we were then told the disabled room with queen bed was already taken but they could put another single bed when I asked about our original room I was told my husbands wheelchair would not fit into the bathroom so really we had to take the disabled room ! It was already small also with no window but after another bed was put into the room it was a tiny space ! my husband was ripping the side of the bed to get in and out of the room and the wheelchair had to stay in the bathroom as it would not fit in the bedroom ! Our real concern was the bathroom when we had a shower the water stayed all over the bathroom floor and did not dry for hours! So when my husband went to the toilet from his wheelchair there was a real chance of him slipping and falling ! I reported it to reception she sent someone up who checked the drain to see if it was blocked I told him it was not and that's it's a design fault in the bathroom anyway he left and said reception would call me but they never did ! So the next day I emailed the hotel as I wanted my concerns noted in writing as at reception they said they do not have complaint forms ! I did not want the hotel denying I had warned them of the health and safety concerns of the room ! within about 10 mins they sent a person from housekeeping Harvey who told me the only thing he could do was get housekeeping into our room to dry up the floor with towels whenever we had a shower ! We explained how small the room was and just because a disabled sign was on the door this did not make it disabled friendly! He was very apologetic but that didn't help our situation! If we had known the rooms were so small we would have booked a different hotel

Before I begin, I find it relevant that I was going to give this visit 3* on Trip Advisor. However, after thinking, I reminded myself that the establishment is branded as a 3*. Thus, I will conduct my review relatively from what should be expected.
Warm and efficient welcome when checking in, very reasonable staff on the desk. Albeit, the lobby is always HEAVING with people, very noisy and bustling. The concierge are most helpful and efficient too, although the rules for luggage at check out was very strange? I was not allowed to attend to my luggage whilst under security's supervision - this was after I gave my bags earlier that day. So I had to haul my large case in the middle of the lobby to open up my luggage... all under the close watching eye of the concierge!
My room, which was one with a very nice balcony, was indeed very small. You will struggle to fit more than one case in your room for sure. The room smelled a bit sweaty but I can confirm it was not the linen nor the duvet etc - perhaps the air-conditioning? Otherwise, very clean. Bed comfy too.
Breakfast, even for 3 star, was very poor. Not a lot of choice, very poor quality and the size of the space where it is served and seated is ridiculously small. AVOID.
Location of the hotel was pretty decent. Quiet (although be aware that I visited the middle of January and there was a construction site across the road) yet good links to the centre etc.
Pool looked good, although not tried and tested due to the monsoon. Be aware that the "gym" is a very small glass box next to the pool itself - very limited. Similarly, the shower facilities on this floor consist of a single electric shower in the disabled toilet... the rest I'll leave to the imagination.
Overall, a good 3*. If you are looking for more luxury, I'd look further afield.

This operation doesn’t meet the bar for a four-star hotel. Had they advertised themselves as a three star at the time of my booking, this review would be a lot more positive. Friendly hotel staff. People are not the problem, here. (Well, except for the person who checked me out this morning— yikes.)
Rooms are fairly small and no-frills. Lighting is poor. Hotel is clean. Breakfast is abysmal— I mean they need to invest a LOT more to bring standards up. Examples: cut up hot dogs, labeled “chicken sausage,” with an occasional trace of tomato. Four stars? Nope. I’m going to say more about breakfast because it’s representative of my stay, so bear with me.
Pastries would have been a reasonable addition to the bread for toasting, but what’s truly missing was better fresh fruit. They offered orange wedges and watermelon. The macaroni salad had flies on it every time without fail. Nothing changed over the course of a few weeks. Asian fare wasn’t much better. Dry. Bland. Really disappointing— I should have checked reviews before including this with my room. Now you know!
I started to get used to the place after the first week, but I will never return. To their credit, they remained affordable when Formula 1 was in town. WiFi was pretty solid. AC worked very effectively.
Balcony faces into a dystopian central shaft of other balconies— skip it and opt for a city view. Pool is actually great, but the weight room is sad— no dumbbells and very little room. It’s a large hotel, so there’s no excuse for drastically under funding this.
Breakfast buffet is open through 10:30 AM, daily, yet on Sunday at 9:45 there were zero clean cups, glasses, plates, and most of the food was gone. I’m trying to remain objective, but that was truly disappointing. It wasn’t a case of waiting for an item or two to get replenished— most things (including plates & cups) were simply gone.
There are better breakfast options within a few blocks of the hotel. This is a three star hotel, period, and it needs to be advertised as such.

Hotel Boss was a convenient option due to its location, which made it easy to get around and explore the city. The MRT station nearby was a huge plus, and there were plenty of shops and eateries within walking distance.
One highlight of our stay was that the receptionist kindly upgraded our room to one with a city view, which we really appreciated. It added a nice touch to the experience and gave us a lovely view of the city skyline.
However, the room itself was still smaller than expected and felt a bit cramped, especially with our luggage. We also noticed a few insects in the room, which was a bit concerning. The WiFi was inconsistent throughout our stay and unfortunately disconnected completely on the last day, which made it difficult to stay connected. Additionally, noise from the hallway could be heard in the room, which occasionally disrupted our rest.
The staff were polite, but the service was fairly standard, without the personalized touch we experienced at other hotels. Housekeeping did a decent job, though there were some minor issues, like towels not being replaced promptly.
Overall, it was an okay for short trips where convenience is key. The room upgrade and location were definite pluses, but there’s room for improvement in terms of cleanliness, WiFi reliability and overall comfort.

this is a big hotel but with small rooms, the bathroom is a bit cramped with small asian sized toilet. Nonetheless, it was worth its price. We did t take the $15 buffet breakfast because just a short walk away, towards Vhotel(350m walk) , there is a fastfood that sells a variety of food for just $5-7 range, and a refreshing fresh sugar cane juice for $2. As tiny as its bathroom, the hotel gym is too tiny for my taste. Probably Smallest gym in the world. Their pool is large enough to do some good laps, and towel is free in the pool area. Overall, this is a hotel we can come back to because of its price and location

We stayed in the hotel for four nights in August, 2023. Hotel location is very convenient as it is very near Lavender MRT station and also about 10-15 minutes walk from Little India. Room size was very small considering the price we paid per night, a little more than Rs.10,000/- per night ( Superior Double Room without breakfast). Also, the room had no almirah. It is a very big hotel in Singapore. We were really surprised when we entered such a small room allotted to us in 7th floor. The bed was also uneven. Plus points: Hotel reception gave additional bottled water on demand on most occasions. They had big locker room where you can put your luggage after checking out. Plenty of restaurants around the hotel and very near Mustafa centre where all items of daily necessities are available. However, room size was a big disappointment. If you put your luggage for two persons in that room, without any almirah, there is hardly any space to walk in the room. Certainly, we would recommend looking for better options at that price.
