Regretted to have choose this hotel. The building is old and not maintained well (if not at all), scratches everywhere on the doors, colors were fading away, room where we stayed was dirty, especially the bed head., awful!! Amenities were extremely minimal, only 2 toothbruhes and a small soap bar. No hand or face towel, only 2 regular towels. Room service was limited, as the way they made the bed or fold the bed cover were as if they did it in a hurry. Front desk officers were not helpful. We requested for one king/queen bed but got 2 singles made to be 1. If we insisted to have one big bed, we have to pay extra. Really disappointing for a so called 4* hotel. In term of location, the hotel location is quite strategic, elatively near to MRT and walking distance to the buzzling Orchard rd. Other than that, well... I've got nothing to praise.

The reception is worst. You can not check your hotel booking if it is confirmed or not. When i called the reception at evening, they said please call the next morning. Reception will start again tomorrow.

Basically, it's good, like their environment is very quite but it still have something can improve. For example, its bathroom is use curtain to separate bath and shower, so when I went to take a shower, the bathroom floor would be full of water. (When we checked in, the staff was very nice.)

Now I understand that there are check-in and check-out times for all hotels. Although as a seasoned traveler, I find all hotels tend to sway the rules depending on how they are placed. This hotel is point blank, "Must wait until 3pm". Only one person at reception, so you can imagine the queues come 3pm. The reception area was full of people waiting to get checked in at midday and luggage everywhere blocking the ground floor. Imagine the crowd come 3pm? I wasn't feeling terribly well so the girl at reception eventually checked me in at 12.45pm. I did appreciate this, but I still don't find the need for such strict rules. My room was better than I'd thought from previous reviews, with a nice leafy view. If I find out that the hotel has change such strict check-in rules, I would happily stay here again. If I keep rereading about the hard core check-in rules, I'll stay elsewhere.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during our visit in Singapore. It is a clean, but basic hotel. There were 2 packages of toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo was a refillable container on the wall, water pressure was good. There were 2 towels, no washcloths. Beds were comfortable, but the bedsheets and pillows were smelly. Breakfast was ok which was included in the price. The lighting could have been better if they used white bulbs, instead of yellow glow which made the room dark.

Although we arrived earlier than the check in time, we were given a room. However, it wasn't much bigger than the ship's cabin in which we had spent the previous 2 weeks! The hotel is a little dated, and the pool area on the roof is surrounded by air conditioning units blowing out hot air!. The pool furniture is filthy with many loungers broken. I actually believed we had been given a sub-standard room as we had checked in early, This was not the case - all rooms were the same (or so I was told at Reception). The tea/coffee facilities provided were horrible! - an archaic water boiler affixed to the wall, powdered milk and we had to ask for tea bags. The shower curtain was useless! It was way too short and the water splashed out, making the floor slippery and wet. The shower itself was efficient and warm. The mattress was rock hard, but I actually had a decent night's sleep! The bedside tables looked like the sockets had been blanked out. All the switches were on one side of the bed. We couldn't get the TV to work. The view wasn't what I expected but it was surprisingly quiet considering we overlooked a busy road. Staff were efficient and the hotel was clean.

I don’t recommend this Hotel, all are RED FLAGS except for the location. In short, you are paying for the location but the Hotel Experience is the worst considering it’s in Orchard Singapore…the hotel is very old, furnitures needs to be changed, the rooms are so old, the worst is the breakfast buffet( the use of disposable utensils and plates) unacceptable considering that it’s not a camp site. OVER ALL IMPRESSION: POOR VALUE FOR MONEY not worth it

I was so frustrated when I arrived at the hotel, it’s old. the lobby is not welcoming, the room is so old and furnitures as well. I will never book this hotel again, you only paid for the location. The breakfast is below par, using disposable plates and everything. Value for money not worth it. Over all experience, DISAPPOINTING

I will not weave a story so that I don’t mince words.I will just write points which made me feel that this was one of the worst stays of my life (from Jan 3-7); 1.buffet breakfast offered French toast, chicken sausage, potato wedges/French fries, tea coffee and sometimes milk & cornflakes. 2.everything had to be eaten on a paper plate and paper glass….unimaginable 3. The bed size was so small that we could not fit with our 8 yr old son 4. There was no jet in the bathroom…only toilet papers…how is that possible in a hotel in Asia? 5. Bedsheets can changed every 2 days. We had to request after one day because we felt the sheet was not too clean. You would or believe that the housekeeping lady walked in with a fresh bedsheet with duplicate key….without knocking or anything.we were discussing some important things sitting on the bed and suddenly we realise that somebody was opening our door.after a few seconds I see somebody next to my bed 6.when we reached the hotel in a cab, the hotel staff brought the carriage when the taxi driver hailed him and after putting our luggage on that told us to carry the carriage ourselves. Thereafter he had the audacity to tell us that after u take off your suitcases, please come and drop off carriage at the reception 7.I understand that Singapore is a cosmopolitan country but the hotel staff (TV mechanic, housekeeping staff) refuse to understand English Hospitality industry is renowned for its courteous traits and caring nature.this hotel was absolutely a disgrace for the hospitality industry
