Having stayed once in Singapore before and knowing how much you pay for a small windowless room, I knew I had to look for a place outside of the city center and tourist attractions for a decent place that wouldn’t break the bank. Champion Hotel fit the bill and I was actually surprised about both the room and bathroom size. The decor was updated, but a bit worn out. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were pretty hard . Room offers a mini fridge, safe and full size mirror. There’s lot of shopping malls and eateries around the hotel, it’s a pretty interesting area. The nearest MRT station is Paya Lebar (with its own mall and restaurants) and that’s about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. I’d stay here again on a next trip.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights after having stayed at other hotels in Singapore this one was by far the cheapest and the biggest. We had a corner room so we had a window in the room and French doors in the bathroom. It looks like they did upgrades maybe 8-10 years ago but it is starting to show it age again, grout coming out from the tiles, vanity cupboard chipped and worn, the stupid thing whatyamacallit around the bed all chipped, and the rugs in the hallways looks like it has been travelled on by many people as it is pretty nasty. Other than that the bed was comfortable, and clean and the airconditioning blew cold air so that is a bonus. The location is really good lots of food around so you won’t go hungry and malls for shopping. There is a little mini mart down below on the corner where you can pick up some cold beer, as beer is not served in this part of the city much. Enjoyed the stay ! The MRT station is a few blocks away so it easy to hop on and it will take you where you need to go.

Room Tip: Lots of food courts around, and a mini mart for beers next to the hotel.

Considering how pricey accommodation can be in Singapore, this hotel does provide good value considering its relative affordability and location. Stayed in a windowless, single room which was small but comfortable enough for one pax. The room and toilet was clean and gives you everything that you need as a solo and/or business traveler. Location-wise, pretty good too, within walking distance to many eateries and amenities, as well as a bus stop and Paya Lebar MRT. Good reception service and overall a decent stay.

I actually enjoy my stay there over the weekend. The location is very good, walking distance to Payar Lebar MRT station, located right on the Joo Chiat St., directly opposite Fairprice Supermarket. The room was clean, except the toilet bowl wasn't clean thoroughly, there were pee stains on the sitting plate. The bed is firmed. The hairdryer in the room is not working, but I am able to borrow one from the reception. With the price I paid and with its location, it is really good place to stay to explore Joo Chiat/Katong.

Suite room for $109 SGD, no breakfast. Prepaid on Agoda. Some minor hassles at checkin with a request for a $50 cash deposit (nothing mentioned about this on the Agoda email, nor any option of taking a credit card pre-authorisation), but relented after some discussion. Located towards Geylang Serai end of Joo Chiat. Suite room was large and seemed recently renovated and was clean with a comfortable king size bed. But the room was on the corner on Joo Chiat with very poor sound insulation: bad traffic noise throughout the day and night. Minor points were poor quality towels, no hand towels provided and no hand soap. 2 small bottles of mineral water provided and a small fridge. Free WiFi worked fine for Netflix.

It was a nice and clean hotel in 10-15 minute taxi from the airport. Shopping center, market, restaurants are located nearby. We are satisfied with one night stay for transit. シンガポールでの乗り継ぎ時に利用。空港からもタクシーですぐ、近くにショッピングセンター、市場、たくさんのレストランがあります。部屋も十分な広さ、設備と清潔さでした。

I stayed there with my 2 big kids. Hotels in Singapore are very expensive. So I would say this hotel was (about $25 GRAB ride to the airport and $18 from Clarke Quay by GRAB ) reasonable to stay in triple beds in a bedroom for $125 per night. No window, no fancy facilities or anything but that is what u pay for.... the front desk guy was nice gave me a fluffy doona when I asked for an extra pillow to sleep with.(they don’t have any extra pillow in stock) 7-11 and some kind of Malaysia type of food stalls were in vicinity. We arrived nearly 9pm to just to sleep before the early morning flight..... we bought lots of food @ 7-11’s though none of them were good. Ham lettuce and chees sandwich was not atable, teriyaki chicken mayo onigiri (rice ball covered by seaweed) was looked like tuna and did not taste like it supposed to be. Just be careful.

We strayed at this hotel for 4 nights whilst we were in Singapore and couldn’t fault it. The rooms are a good size, with tea, coffee and water supplied. The bathroom also had toiletries provided. Check in was quick by helpful staff. WIFI is free and quick. The location was great with easy access to the underground and buses. There was a handy supermarket across the road and a good selection of places to eat nearby. There is also a large shopping centre within walking distance with a big selection of shops and eateries. I wouldn’t hesitate in staying here again.

If you looking for affordable price hotel with cleanliness , I recommend this hotel. Suitable for family. Looking for MRR?just walk away around 1 km to Paya Lebar MRT station. For meal, there is a kopitiam at Joo Chiat Center. And for hangout place, lets try Paya Lebar Square and Paya Lebar Quarter. it can be an alternative instead of Orchard Road type hangout area
