Hidden gem in Geylang ! , didn't expect much but it was really good ! , would be bit far walking distance from the MRT station but its manageable.

Lots of cheap eateries and convenient stores around , Room was well equipped and bigger than most in Singapore with the same value. Also smart TV with YouTube and Netflix is ++

Also gratis water dispenser for refill

COVID Update : This hotel was well prepared and temperature was checked at check in, as well as most of public area are equipped with hand sanitizers

Please do not bother with the breakfast it is a total waste of time , very poor, only choice I had was warmed up noodles that I strongly believe were from the night before & apart from 4 slices of bread & 3 tiny apples on the table that was it , that was our A la carte breakfast. There were other empty trays on the table that I presume had contained rice , fish & eggs but had not been re filled & as I was there for 8.45 I wasn't exactly late as I was told breakfast finished at 9.30.I asked for egg but was told there were none, however as I was leaving I noticed the same waiter sitting down with his plate of rice & 2 fried eggs. Obviously a different menu for the staff than for the visiting hotel paying tourist then !
I really think the hotel should either change its policy of the free breakfast or keep a closer eye on the place that is providing it.
Especially as the hotel itself is a really nice hotel, ideally located for getting around especially with the amazing grab cabs, we werent even aware it was in a red light district as reported , & found the area was absolutely fine & felt very safe. The rooms at the hotel are also very good & very clean , great for a short stay with all the amenities , decent wifi but bit slow at times, the staff on reception & the cleaners were all really good people helpful & very friendly. I would stay there again but would get my own breakfast !

Found this hotel on Agora. It was clean and spacious. It did the trick for our 3-day visit to Singapore. Our driver did chuckle when we asked him about the area. Turns out it's in the red light district. However, we never ran into any trouble. He just told us to avoid buildings with neon lights and we should be good. Breakfast is at a restaurant nearby. There wasn't much options, but they were accommodating. When they noticed we didn't eat pork, they remade the fried rice without the pork. The staff was very friendly.

My wife and I recently stayed at Five/6 Splendour hotel and wanted share some of our concerns. I booked several months in advance but had a couple of airline schedule changes that made us reconsider the length of stay. The first change was that we wanted to reduce our stay by one day since we wouldn’t be arriving as soon as we hoped. We were told from Booking.com after they consulted with Splendour staff that this was not possible. There was a minimum stay requirement? Our plans changed again and some how we were able to book another 2 day stay(with no minimum?)as a separate adjoining booking at a higher cost. Seems like pretty suspect business practices are at work here.

After arriving to our room via elevator and walkaways which had no air conditioning we found our room with the windows open in the middle of the day so it was incredibly hot. There were ants everywhere. I’m not sure if the option to rent rooms to diners during the day is the cause but surely doesn’t help. The sink in the bathroom had a conservation feature(bravo) that shut on and off as soon as you removed your hands from underneath. Unfortunately that was the only thing the sensor recognized so you had to stick your fingers in the faucet to get it to run for brushing your teeth, filling water cups/bottles/shaving etc. Finally the room wouldn’t get cool until “we” cleaned the air filters on the AC which were caked with dust from not having been cleaned. It seems they are interested in saving electricity as well as cleaning staff. There was also a spider web in the shower.

We informed management of our concerns but it seems they were happy to apologize but less interested in customer satisfaction. Also worth passing on is the location is less than convenient to major attractions requiring transportation($) for most if not every major site. Much better value options available. Our second hotel here was much better for similar cost.

The hotel provides good service. The room is clean and tidy. The staff are very polite and helpful. The price is reasonable. However, there are two things I believe you should be aware of before booking this hotel.

1. It is about a 10-minute walk from the MRT (Kallang station). It's fine to walk on a sunny day, but it'll be difficult if it's raining.

2. The wall does not provide soundproofing. At night, I heard the kids in the next rooms making a lot of noise.

Overall, I believe the hotel is a good option.

Only stayed here for a night before moving on to a more central hotel.

Its fine for a night or two.. out of the town a bit, but good transport links.
Hotel room was very clean, shower was OK, no other facilities, so its quite basic. Geylang Road is an interesting place, great mix of asian restaurants, great food and it comes to life as the eveing moves on.
One word of warning is that the roads (lorangs) off Geylang have (lots of) brothels, so although seemed perfectly safe to me, not the best place for children. Complete suprise for me when I asked someone if these were restaurants! :) As a stop over it was fine, but don't bring your gran

Checkin agent could barely speak English ! Gave my wife and I a room overlooking street on second floor with bright hotel lights blaring into our room 205,even with curtains drawn. Room was small and bathroom barely had any room to move.No proper seat in room but under table stool.Paid fully in advance BUT they ask for $SGD100 cash as a deposit on checkin also ??!! .Using a credit card has up to 14 days before credit comes back through??! Hotel is away from airport and in a small street.Service is poor and hotel is old and tired.Would not stay here again …

Paid $105 SGD on Agoda. No breakfast. Deluxe King Room, 24sqm. King size bed. Recently renovated with large flatscreen TV. Good sized room. Decent bathroom with good shower head. 3 cans of drink provided but no bottled water. Noise from slamming doors and stomping upstairs but slept ok with earplugs. Checkin process was a bit confused: charged twice for deposit, but reversed one after I discovered it and pointed it out. Interesting local area to explore. Quiet street off the main Geylang rd. Free WiFi but didn’t use it.

Nice quiet area, instructions from hotel to get here can be better written. Hard to communicate with hotel via email, had to call to clarify a booking request. Lots of restaurants near by. 12 to 15 minutes walk to MRT station. Rooms bigger than usual and nice spacious bathroom.
