Can’t speak highly enough of Aloft Novena. Having lived in Sentosa for eight years, but recently relocated to KL, we just stayed in a Sentosa hotel for the weekend and then transferred here whilst my husband went to his office. Location is great for anyone if you are familiar or unfamiliar with Singapore as there is a 7-11 and a small mall attached. The pool way exceeds expectations for a city hotel, huge, amazing quality sun loungers, so much space for everyone, enormous sunshades and catches the sun beautifully. Also a cool breeze and nice pool towels and toilets.
The gym was excellent, modern, nice view of pool, spacious and plenty machines.
The greeting was exceptional, similar to a Raffles experience! The staff greeted us and helped unload the car onto a trolley, such a warm and professional welcome. They told us where to then park the car (parking is easy in the underground mall car park and is complementary for one exit and entrance per day. So if you want to leave for a couple of hours it’s cheap and then to exit you can use your free ticket from overnight. Checking in was professional and helpful. Staff brought our luggage up immediately.
Room is quality. Money was invested well on the very very large bed, the luxurious duvets and sheets and pillows. Bathroom modern, compact but easy. Happy to see environmental touches like shower gel and shampoo in nice refillable bottles and a label for the bed only if you want new sheets. Small fridge in room, kettle excellent, iron and ironing board. Good charging facilities. AC good but for me a little warm as I like it colder.
Breakfast, easy, lovely outdoor seating with fans or indoor. So much choice, compliments to the lovely egg lady cooking the eggs to order to perfection. Helpful staff who allowed us to re enter later to make a tea for our flask for the long drive back.
The staff are top notch, everyone from the cleaners to the checking in desk to the breakfast staff, gym and pool attendant. EVERYONE. Also can’t thank them enough when I lost a small item by dropping it they all leapt into action, alerted security and someone found it (cash inside) and of course being Singapore returned it to me.
This will be our new city hotel. It’s like a W hotel quality without the annoying purple lights and annoying funky music!

I stayed here for a week; I had stayed here previously, in December 2018, for about 10 days. Prior to my arrival, I had contacted the hotel to confirm the type of room I wanted and also to ask about late check in (this is available - you pay extra but can check out at 6pm, convenient as many flights to Europe from Singapore leave at night). Joshua, who took the call, was very helpful and sorted out all the issues. Check in was painless. The room was of a reasonable size, the bed was very comfortable and there was a nice view of the east of the city as well. There wasn’t a huge amount of storage space, so if you have more than 2 suitcases it might be a bit of a squeeze, but most hotels are like this now I think. The bathroom was large and very clean. The breakfast buffet catered to all tastes - some reviewers here have complained that there wasn’t enough selection, we completely disagree as there was a variety of tastes catered for - Western, Indian and Chinese dishes were provided. There is a small but well equipped gym and a large swimming pool; the pool is open till 10pm and the gym 24 hrs.
The hotel is located in Novena, so it is close to Tan Tock Seng Hospital (5 minutes walk away) and Novena MRT is about 10 minutes away - though if you do not fancy walking in the heat, there is a shuttle bus from the hotel at 20 minute intervals. From Novena it is less than 10 minutes to Orchard Road and the main shops. Taxis are readily available and the hotel will call these for you, you rarely have to wait long. Novena has a very large mall, but there is a smaller one next to the hotel, and there is a supermarket here which is well stocked (if you are buying food to give as gifts, the selection here is better - and cheaper! - than at the airport). There is also a food centre in this mall which seems quite popular.
Ultimately, though, what made this hotel particularly memorable and pleasant was the staff. Without exception all of them were friendly, helpful and always smiling. I was very impressed by the level of service and how they went out of their way to help, even when they were busy. Kudos to all of them. I am even more impressed that after 6 years the standards have been maintained to a very high level.

A property that is nestled away from the hustle and bustle with its location that is relaxed, peaceful and a quiet getaway. with Zhongsan Mall next to the Aloft Hotel, it is convenient to obtain food, a supermarket available and a little park with a playground for my grandson to play. Shuttle bus is also available to Novena Square and only 2 train stations away to Orchard Road and the many places of interest via the train.
Aside from its serenity with the vicinity of the park area, credit should also be given to the staff namely, Noorisham from Security, Hafidz and Natasha from the Rajah Restaurant who had been accommodating, helpful and extended their assistance when required. In addition, to the Call Center who has been assisting to advice Housekeeping to have our rooms cleaned when contacted and Lee from Housekeeping for keeping our rooms cleaned.

I recently had a very poor experience during my two-night stay at the Aloft Singapore Novena hotel. The level of service I received did not justify the cost of my stay, and I am extremely disappointed that the hotel has not responded to my formal complaint or provided any apology. This lack of communication further reinforces my belief that they are not interested in addressing customer concerns or using feedback for improvement.
One alarming incident was when my room's door was left open after housekeeping service. Ensuring the security and safety of guests' belongings is a fundamental responsibility for any hotel, and I was shocked and very anxious to discover the open door, even though thankfully no valuables were missing. This lapse in security is unacceptable.
The check-in process was also unpleasant. The staff was not helpful and did not proactively provide information about the free shuttle bus, breakfast location and times, or the swimming pool. I had to return to the front desk and ask another staff for this basic information before heading out. Additionally, the room lacked some basic amenities such as disposable combs and cotton buds.
In summary, my stay at the Aloft Singapore Novena was a complete disappointment. The lack of customer service, the security breach, and the inadequate room amenities have left me feeling extremely dissatisfied. I hope the hotel will take my feedback seriously and make significant improvements to their operations.

Husband and I stayed here for about 7 nights that also coincided with the F1 weekend madness. It’s your basic business Marriott property which is perfect if you’re out 85-95% of the day and need a place to just rest your head and shower. It has a table and chair which was great when I had to take meetings at night. The property is located right next to Zhongshan mall which was super convenient too if you need to run and grab stuff. 7-11 is right below. Novena train station is about 15 min walk and you’ll need to walk through the hospital….but if you’re clueless and hopeless with the maps, just take the free shuttle bus the hotel offers!
The entrance of the hotel was such a great vibe. It’s no wonder why many would just “hang” around. From a pool table to bar/musician’s stand where you’ll be entertained with live music. Breakfast spread was great at the restaurant - if you’re a gold/platinum/titanium/ambassador status, you’ll get access to the “club lounge” which is outdoors. Cooling at night and great to get a coffee/juice/water, there was a little mini golf set as well!
There is a gym and pool. The pool was big and good to dip in during the humid and hot days. There’s also a coin-operated laundry/dryer machines which you need to exchange cash to laundry tokens…but imho it’s quite expensive ($10 for laundry and $10 for dryer) and there are cheaper options in the neighbourhood area (bus rides - if you want to explore!).
Bedding was comfortable however if you’re a light sleeper - please ask for a non-adjoining room. We were given an adjoining room but we could hear EVERYTHING from the next room, from toilets being flushed/people showering, people talking…that was annoying. I don’t think the adjoining doors are properly soundproofed.I have to minus a star for this as we had some nights where we were woken up at 2am in the morning 🫠

Our first time in Singapore... we are so excited. Arrived at Changi at 1am. Waited til 6am until my friends from the Philippines to arrive so we can go to the hotel together. We arrived around 8:30am or 9am tried checking in but I know it is way too early so we just asked to keep our bags until room becomes ready. We ate at a food halls close or connected to the hotel (so amazing) then we about to leave the hotel, Erik the valet run and called us to say our room is ready! (Thank God!) I just wanted to take a shower after 3 days of travelling all the way from the US. Saufi the front desk agent - young and has a good personality checked us in and he is really nice with us throughout our stay. The hotel is very clean and modern, our room is also immaculate and spotless! The beds were so comfortable even though it is only twin size- we slept so very well! Our housekeeper who is always checking on us, Julia is very kind and hospitable. Her kindness is very real and wanted to give us our comfort. We did not asked for housekeeping cleaning but we commend her for surprising us with bottles of water and fresh towels. Only stayed for 3 nights and our stay is so memorable for us. I left my favorite jacket and contacted the hotel after trying for few days and they said they found it! Hope to come back to SG soon and will definitely come back to stay at your hotel. Shuttle bus service (pick up both hotel and MRT) to Novena was super convenient to have and always on time. Only thing to note is 1st time pick up from Novena to hotel is tricky to work out as there are no signs. It is just in front on road of Thompson medical center shuttle service sign next to the grass area where works will typically sit down to smoke...
Laundry expensive, $10SGD for wash and again $10SGD for 45min dry. I chose to use the laundrette 5 mins walk away. That was $4 SGD wash and then a $7 SGD dry (56mins) to full dry. Basically 1 wash price from hotel is a wash and to fully dry at the local laundrette (The bubble fresh laundrette... entrance a little tricky to find first time but machines are good and clean)
Overall for the price it is worth it.

We had a great experience with Aloft being our host for our corporate events for two days. They are very organized and accommodating of our needs. From the accommodation rooms of our workshop participants including the function room package provided are excellently organized. The venue was very comfortable, clean and cosy for the attendees. Free flow of filtered water, tea and coffee machine in the function room is a big plus! Staff were accommodating of our last minute requests wherever possible, like request for breakfast. Staff was readily available. Would definitely come back for our next event!
