Lloyd's Inn Singapore is widely celebrated for its serene ambience and modern, nature-themed rooms that offer a tranquil retreat. Nestled conveniently near Orchard Road, guests have easy access to shopping and dining options, as well as MRT stations for city exploration. The hotel's cleanliness and thoughtful amenities, like outdoor showers and a relaxing pool, consistently impress visitors.
While the value is generally appreciated, especially for the pristine rooms and amenities, opinions on the breakfast offerings are mixed. The attentive and friendly staff at Lloyd's Inn also contribute to its reputation as a peaceful oasis in the bustling city.

Detailed Reviews
The location is on a quiet leafy street near to local eateries, useful supermarket and just 20 minute walk to Clarke Quay or 15 minutes walk to Fort Canning Park. The staff on the reception desk were charming and very helpful. We arrived at 9am and were able to leave our luggage safely while we went off to explore until the room was ready.
The spacious room had a shower open to the outdoors but in the warmth and humidity of Singapore this quirky feature seemed to work. However, the air conditioning was noisy at night
The decor although very plain was in keeping with the stripped back minimalist feel. We didn't use the 'cooling pool' but the greenery and sound of water from the fountain was a pleasant feature.
Breakfast was at Abc cafe 3 minutes walk away which is an excellent cafe but the voucher from the hotel only provided a small size coffee and one pastry each. We upgraded to something more substantial. Overall a great hotel which was very relaxing to stay at if you prefer something not high rise and a bit more personal.

Of all the hotels I’ve ever stayed in, Lloyd’s Inn is officially my favourite. The rooms are much bigger than they appear in the photos, are beautifully designed with comfortable beds, pleasant lighting, and the indoor/outdoor bathroom was fantastic. The robes were a nice touch as well, wish I could have taken mine home!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The outdoor terrace and larder were nice additions. It was great to be able to get filtered water whenever we wanted, we filled the reusable bottles and cartons that were in the room which saved us money on buying bottled water all day while we were out. WiFi was good and strong.
There is no onsite restaurant, but you get vouchers which grant you a free breakfast of delicious coffee and pastries at a bakery at the bottom of the road.
If I had to note one issue, it was that the air conditioning was very noisy. Overall we loved our stay and will absolutely stay again when we next visit Singapore.

Only 1 counter for check in so there was a queue. They hold $100 on your credit card in case the guest is found smoking in the room and they will use that amount to clean up the stink in the room. As the room was not ready, we were allowed to leave our bags with the hotel before going out to explore the area. Our late PM Mr Lee Kuan Yew's House is just behind but it is well shielded with high fence.
The room was ready by 2.30pm and we were told that check out would be 12.30pm because of full capacity. Found it strange as a news article appeared the next morning that the hotel has a 17% drop in occupancy compared with June 2019.
We were given breakfast vouchers worth $6.50 each to redeem for breakfast at nearby Artisan Boulangerie Co. Since we woke up late and decided to forgo breakfast, we left the vouchers for another time when we just used up all our vouchers at one go. We ordered lunch via Food Panda and the concierge called me to collect it since I have left instructions with FP.
Lloyd's Inn has rooms on 2 levels and a lift is available to connect both levels. Business rooms come with a loft where a queen size bed is. The toilet and shower is outside a glass door and plastic shower curtains have to be drawn when using the toilet or shower in case of prying eyes from neighbouring villas.
Amenities are basic but sufficient. In fact, there are 2 TV sets... One downstairs and another in the loft.
Instead of bathrobes, they have yukatas. There are flip flops instead of bathroom slippers. There are a lot of drawers for storage. There is a kettle in the room with tea sachets from 1872 Clipper and Co but I didn't need them because of the pantry on level 2.
The pantry is equipped with a vending machine selling cold drinks. There is a drink dispenser serving coffee, cappuccino, latte, Milo and my favourite teh tarik. There is also a machine dispensing ice or ice with water. Although there were tables at the pantry, dining was not allowed during Phase 2 (HA). A microwave oven was also available for use. Since there are no dining facilities within the hotel, the pantry is a great asset to the place.
There is a long dipping pool and lounge chairs around. Visit the area in the evening or night and the place looks beautiful with the spot lights.
The rooms are not very soundproof so we could hear neighbours talking and things dropping but thankfully, this was minimal and did not bother us.
Just to share something I learnt from one of the reviewers. I could not open the door once and I remembered a reviewer mention that the door handle has to be lifted upwards before pushing it downwards and inwards to push open the door. It worked!
Check out is easy. Drop the keys into a box and leave.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on TripAdvisor.
Our usual check-out time is at 12pm and requests for late check-out are subjected to room availability. The drop in occupancy mentioned in the article was a comparison done across the month and hence might not be reflective of your experience during your stay. We have noted your feedback on the door handle as well as the sound-proofing. We regret for any inconvenience caused. Nevertheless, we are glad you enjoyed our facilities and we look forward welcoming you back in the near future.

Was reading the past reviews for Lloyd's Inn and I saw the one by 'Unhappy guest' in Aug 2020 which was just last month. I had pretty much the same experience as them because I booked from Booking.com and got room #6 as well.
The windows were facing the residential area and you HAVE to pull down the blinds otherwise people living across will be able to look at whatever that is happening in your room. I used my phone to take a photo from outside the window to see if there were any privacy but I could actually see the inside of my room (although Lloyd's Inn staff told 'Unhappy guest' that there will be reflection so people outside cant see the inside of your room.) So there isn't any privacy unless you pull down the blinds but that would also defeat the purpose of having such huge windows and how Lloyd's Inn have marketed their rooms having nice view outside of the window.
There were ants crawling all over the sink. Staff told me that it could be because of the nature areas surrounding the property. I think more could be done for this.
Strands of long hair were also seen just underneath the bed and on the bed as well and it's the same complaint by 'Unhappy guest'. Lloyd's Inn reply to 'Unhappy guest' was that the feedback have been relayed to the Housekeeping team and have since taken taken the necessary actions to improve it. But i guess not.
Sound proofing was bad as well. In the morning, chatters from the Housekeeping team could be heard loudly.
Paying over $200+ per night for a room like this, you would have at least expected a TV with better resolution but it didn't looked like it was full HD.
Last but not least, the reading chair did not have any cushion at all. You sit on it, the first thing that hits your butt is this wooden bar across the seat. Really uncomfortable at all.
Most probably will not return again unless privacy, sound proofing and cleanliness can be improved drastically.

Dear Benjamin, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your Lloyd's Inn experience was less than excellent. 1) We understand your disappointment with not being allocated your preferred room. However, most (if not all) hotels would need to have their blinds/curtains drawn for privacy. 2) We are sorry that the cleanliness of your room was not up to our usual standards. We have reminded our Housekeeping Team be more meticulous and that each room should be thoroughly inspected of its cleanliness before being assigned to our guests. We do arrange for pest control fortnightly. As our hotel is surrounded by nature, we hope to seek your understanding that some ants are unavoidable. Nevertheless, we understand that ants in the room would definitely affect the guest experience and have looked into it. 3) We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the noise and have informed our Housekeeping Team to be more mindful. 4) We have noted your feedback on the TV resolution and the chair comfort, and we will review it with our management for improvements. Once again, we sincerely apologize for our shortcomings during your stay and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a better experience.

3D2N in Business Room
Room was dusty and chair was mouldy (refer to pics)
Overall looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in a while
We feedbacked to the staff and she apologised and said will feedback to housekeeping.
No immediate remedy was given, housekeeping only came the next day but we already cleaned the place and our belongings were all over the place so we told the lady dont need.
Cleanliness is the basic for us so we were very disappointed - my partner in particular kept apologising to me because he picked the place and paid for it ($500+ in total btw) but honestly I feel bad for him. Imma lay out the pros and cons so you can decide for yourself cause it’s a nice place but it’s a pity it isn’t well maintained.
Pros:
Hotel is in quiet part of town, supermarket less than 5 mins away, eateries nearby
Hotel vibe is zen so u don’t feel like it’s in SG (though partly why we feel its not SG is also the lack of cleanliness - been to many sg hotels and they were all clean)
Room is spacious
Can watch Netflix on room tv
Hotel gave a handwritten card and choc for my bday and overall staff is ok
Hotel breakfast is all day breakfast set at nearby cafe
Cons:
As mentioned, room wasn't clean (Couch, table, chair etc)
There is a small gap between wall and shelter at the bathing area (looks into neighbour’s windows)
Shower curtains are split into 1) for shower 2) for toilet bowl which leaves a huge gap in between with no cover from neighbour’s windows when u enter shower area (see pics)
You can hear other guests showering and speaking because the bathing areas are along the same side (I heard a camera shutter sound from the next door bathing area when I was taking a dump lol)
Loft bed windows also look into neighbour’s windows so we pretty much closed the blinds all day
Door doesn’t have soft closure so u will hear the doors slamming shut when others leave or enter room
TLDR: Overall bad experience, wouldn't recommend. I wished I had read the reviews here before going.

A perfect place for staycation, great value for money. I booked this hotel for our wedding anniversary and stayed for one night. It cost around 138sgd for the garden room.
The room is minimalist and spacious as well as their outdoor shower/bathroom. Dont worry its still private/safe/relaxing experience as you can hear the water running from the fountain. Clean linen, comfortable bed resulting to a good night’s sleep
They have a small recycleable water bottle carton which you can refill along the hallway and also have outdoor pantry which have ice water dispenser, coffee and microwave oven.
We’ve also experienced great food around this area of Killiney Road such as Artisan Boulangerie Co for Breakfast, Pastry and Coffee. Marutama for Ramen and Fook Kin for their crispy pork belly and char siew
Lastly after our checkout, the staff let us play their “Lucky Wheel Spin”....... and we won a set of toiletries bag and a Notepad/Pen.
Will definitely come back!

1. Gotten room #6 which is facing the residential estate with privacy risk being exposed.
2. The window is technically non-existent since the binds need to be down all the time unless you don’t mind being seen by residences staying opposite or passerby. Furthermore, there is a gap about 5cm wide that runs in the middle, in between the 2 binds.
3. Requested for a room change and was rejected due to full occupancy. Was told by front desk that rooms facing the opposite direction (grass patch), priority goes to direct booking guest (you are 2nd class citizen if you are not a direct booking guest)
4. Front desk mentioned in the morning there is reflection so residences opposite can’t see and in the night if you off the light, passerby can’t view through from the gap.
5. Not sure who will take 100% of front desk words, basically the guest needs to keep the binds down the entire time if they want to ensure privacy is not compromised and not on the lights in the night so that passerby cannot peep in.
6. Asked for papers and scotch tape to tape the gap but was rejected end up we need to stack our bags to block the gap.
7. At check out, the couple in front of us gets to spin some lucky draw wheel cause they booked direct, of cause this didn’t applied to us since ours is not a direct booking (again we are being treated like 2nd class citizen)
8. Don’t be fooled by the pool pix, it’s a dipping pool deep enough for kids or infant only.
9. Sound proof was not great since beside room #6 is the house keeping, expect to hear noise early in the morning.
10. Will not consider coming back again as usually the hotel will go out of its way to ensure a comfortable stay for the guest, this is the only hotel we need to accommodate instead!
11. Strands of long hair were found on the floor that landed on the floor mat, not sure if any vacuuming was done prior to our check-in
12. We choose Lloyd's Inn in the 1st place was because of the images views that oversea the greenery however, all we got was residential view, road, cars and passerby.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for your feedback. We regret to hear that your recent stay with us was less than excellent. Very minimalist design room where the hotel is surrounded by thick greenery surroundings. Gives a very relaxing feel to our staycation. Definitely a highly recommended place for couples. Location is good where breakfast is taken at a cafe 5min away and with other options of food along Killney road. Else talke a longer walk to TrippleOne Somerset or Orchard Central

This hotel is in a nice area, about 10 mins walk from Somerset MRT. The room was clean, minimalist, but wih a very comfortable bed and a fantastic shower, which is a boon in Singapore. The wifi went down for 24 hours whilst we were here but at other times the signal was very strong. The staff are friendly. The downsides are, no bar, no food provision and the room safe was hopeless. You could pick it up and stick it in your case! You are given tokens for breakfast which are redeemed at the Artisan Boulangerie Co. at the end of the road. We thought it was good value for money.

Dear Michael, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. It was a pleasure to host you at Lloyd's Inn Singapore and we are glad you enjoyed your overall Lloyd's Inn experience. We are sorry to hear that you experienced an outage of our Wi-Fi network during your stay. It was a rare incident and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. While our safes are portable, they are definitely secure and too heavy to be easily transported around. Such safes are also commonly used by other hotels. Nevertheless, we are happy to know you had a comfortable stay with us, are satisfied with our hotel's location and service as well as the breakfast at Artisan Boulangerie Co. Once again, thank you for choosing Lloyd's Inn Singapore and we look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.

If you want to imagine you're on a short break in Bali, this is the place to go. If you're big on room service, being waited on hand and foot and fancy facilities, do head somewhere else.
I stayed in the Big Sky Room and it was a perfect escape. The size of the room was amazing, lots of space to breathe and pack things away during your day. There was a staircase that lead up to a little desk area which was a lovely touch to separate having to do work. The outdoor bathtub was A DREAM, they even had one of those tables that sits across the tub so you can llace your stuff (book, drink, candle) without getting it wet.
The wading pool was ideal for just chilling, it rarely gets busy during the weekdays and there's plenty of shaded areas if you prefer that. The staff are extremely friendly and kind, knowing that it's a a pretty basic hotel, they do everything they can to ensure that you have the most comfortable stay. The common area has a coffee machine, ice & water dispenser, sink, vending machine and disposable cutlery if you need it. Definitely worth invest in the larger rooms if you want to maximise your stay. Will be back!

Not sure, our room had an outdoor shower with no tub.
They don’t have that facility unfortunately
