We stayed for three nights in a Heritage room on the top floor and had the most spectacular view across Marina Bay to the MBS Hotel and the big wheel, and consequently we were treated to a moving light show every evening!
The room was enormous, spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfortable. Thick pile carpet made it feel so luxurious and the air conditioning was super efficient and quiet.
Everything was perfect- for us ladies, a powerful hair dryer and, joy of joys, plugs right by the mirror above a dresser to aid the hair drying process - so many hotels don’t think of this!
Our bathroom was spacious and fully equipped with large shower, bath and a separate cubicle for the toilet. As you walk into the toilet cubicle the seat lid raises for you!! And the seat is heated!! Fabulous Guerlain toiletries provided as well as toothpaste toothbrushes, combs and many other things.
A separate area for luggage storage and wardrobe with an iron, ironing board, safe , slippers and robes.
In the bedroom area, a mini bar with snacks and complimentary tea, coffee with kettle and coffee machine. There is a filter tap in the bathroom for drinking water and refillable bottles for your use. They really have thought of everything.
The building itself is just beautiful with so much history. No “bling”, just stylish and comfortable. It’s situated at one end of Boat Quay so close to many restaurants and bars and there is an underground walkway to the sister hotel The Fullerton Bay, if you want to go there- can recommend The Lantern, their rooftop bar with stunning views!
And then last but not least, the staff- without exception just fantastic! Smiling, helpful, efficient and they do everything possible to make your stay as good as possible.
We have stayed at many luxury hotels around the world (Mandarin Oriental, Cipriani, Dorchester, Crillon for example) and toyed with the idea of staying at Raffles or the MBS in Singapore but we are so glad that we chose the Fullerton because in our opinion they get it just right and are up there with, if not better than those luxury hotels mentioned.
Thanks to all the team for making our stay just perfect, and if we come back to Singapore we would not consider staying anywhere else.

Beautiful historic hotel in a central location next to Marina Bay. Very close to the MRT. Everywhere is beautifully presented and meticulously clean. Service from the hotel staff was wonderful. The pool is fabulous and worth using. I would recommend the heritage rooms over the courtyard rooms if you are a light sleeper as sometimes they vacuum the atrium area in the middle of the night and start the music early.
Concierge extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They are happy to store you luggage when you check in/out and let you use the gym changing rooms to shower/change and it is very well equipped. I would definitely recommend this hotel for some historic charm in such a great location

The location is perfect and we really enjoyed our stay here.
We stayed in a Quay Room which was beautifully decorated with absolutely stunning views over the river.
The public areas feel rather dated but everywhere is spotlessly clean. Looking at photos of the hotel bedrooms and reading reviews, some of these look rather dated too - however our bedroom had obviously been refurbished to a very high standard.
The pool area can become rather busy, particularly in the late afternoon as there are not a huge number of sun-loungers. We visited The Fullerton Bay Hotel as guests can use their facilities too and whilst the pool there is amazing, there is absolutely no shade during the early part of the day, which was hugely disappointing and meant we had to return to the pool at The Fullerton.
Would happily stay here again, although have never been disappointed with a hotel in Singapore!

Dreadful! NEVER again!
Having stayed at this hotel in the past pre2020 we were really looking forward to revisiting and enjoying 5 star luxury. Booked into the Straits club at extra expense. Hotel is more 3 star than luxury. Dirty, tired needs a full refurbishment . When we arrived at 1pm hotel in total darkness due to government shutdown for electricity testing. Were shunted off to another nearby hotel and in morning a dirty taxi was sent to pick us up despite having paid for a limo transport the night of arrival. No recompense apart from an apology note with plate of fruit - which were too ripe to eat! Room allotted to us was tiny and as I had a wheelchair left no room to move about bedroom. Staff at Straits club did not welcome us or inform us of meal choices which another guest informed us by choosing a QR code on tables which badly needed cleaning. Club had stairs to get to meals which meant as I was in wheelchair had to rely on someone else to choose and bring food. No waitress service all self service. Will NEVER return to this hotel and apart from historic building has nothing else to recommend it.
Service is substandard and on a par with roadside service stations.

Dear gillgirl26, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your recent experience did not meet your expectations, especially as a returning guest. We deeply regret the issues you faced upon arrival, including the inconvenience caused by the temporary power shutdown and the transportation mix-up. We understand how disappointing this must have been, particularly after looking forward to your stay. We have noted your feedback regarding the Straits Club and the challenges you faced with the facilities and staff service. This is certainly not the standard we strive for, and we will be addressing these points with our team to ensure that these issues do not recur in the future. Please know that your concerns have been taken seriously, and we would like to sincerely apologize for the shortcomings you experienced during your visit. We truly value your patronage, and if you are open to it, we would appreciate the opportunity to make things right in the future. Yours sincerely, Gino Tan Country General Manager

It was always my dream to stay at the Fullerton when we're back in Singapore - and then such a disappointment!

The hotel is probably geared more towards business travelers, very impersonal and poor service for a 5* hotel. At the pool, for example, you can't even order anything because there is no service there!

The room was pretty worn, with stains on the carpet and sofa. On the second to last day, the trash cans weren't emptied when the room was cleaned. There was no turndown service, but that didn't bother us. The bed was very comfortable. We were very impressed by the toilet - the toilet lid opened with a motion sensor as soon as you entered the room and the toilet seat was warmed up :-).

The breakfast was very disappointing for such a hotel: There wasn't even Egg Benedict, there were only paper napkins on the table, and by 9:30 a.m. the cheese had already been eaten and wasn't refilled! There weren't even small bowls for the jam to go into.

The only good thing was the location and the teatime was nice too.

But we really expected a lot more from a 5* hotel and the high prices, we wouldn't stay here again.

I chose to stay at the Fullerton as I much prefer to stay in a hotel with character and heritage than a modern tower block. In this it didn't disappoint, and I recommend doing one of the free morning heritage tours of the hotel, it was excellent.
I stayed in a quay room on the third floor. Plus points: well equipped, big comfy bed, sofa, table and chairs, nespresso machine, big well equipped bathroom and good quality linens and towels. Also a lovely view. The negatives were I felt the room was quite small for the price I paid (but overall singapore seems to be much more expensive than my last visit) and they had forgotten to supply milk for coffee etc so I had to get some from housekeeping.
The hotel location is excellent, 5 mins walk from the nearest MRT so easy to get around, and that station is also on a direct route to the airport (one change needed, which is just across the platform) and takes about 30-40 mins.
The gym is very well equipped, lots of machines plus lots of free weights, cold towels etc and WiFi access. The pool is also fabulous, great size for some early morning lap swimming before all the sunbathers and children arrive - and what views!!
I didn't eat at the hotel, preferring local restaurants or hawker centres. I had breakfast one morning as I ran out of time to go out before packing and check out. It is Very Expensive for the buffet (about ÂŁ32pp), and the variety and quality is adequate without being exceptional, but might be worth it if you have a huge appetite and time to get your money's worth!!
The staff were friendly and helpful and very professional, though with a hotel this size you're realistically not able to be treated as an individual or for them to know your name.
Overall, would I stay again? I'm not sure, there were many plus points, especially the location, pool, gym and heritage aspect. For me it slightly lacked the wow factor for the cost, but maybe that's just the going rate in Singapore at the moment and you need to pay even more for wow...

The Fullerton Hotel is splendid in many ways. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and stylish, with everything you want from a great shower, including superior soaps, body wash, shampoo, etc. The buffet breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of local and western style choices, coffee/tea, breads, pastries, fresh fruit, and juices. The Staff are most welcoming, and are happy to assist with any enquiry you may have regarding making your stay more comfortable or recommending sights to see and how to get there. I would like to commend Julie, a member of the Reception Staff and the Senior Concierge, Rafi, and his Staff for their wonderful welcome and assistance.

We arrived at the Fullerton early morning having disembarked a Seabourn cruise.
Our arrival started with a great welcome from the doorman (we had a lot of luggage)
We were welcomed into the club and offered breakfast, and every effort was made to make our room available.
From then on we were cosseted by all the staff including, Zep, Christine, Tiara and Jen and others. The standard of care and comfort was as high as the cruise had been.
We enjoyed the pool and the calm atrium with beautiful flowers and gentle background music.
Thank you everyone for a delightful stay

It meets the five stars in terms of the building, general facilities, size and comfort of the room and bathroom. Also very well located, next to the Merlion.
It does not comply at all with what is expected from a hotel of this category and tradition and the price they charge in terms of stinginess with cleaning (you can find the same paper on the floor for three nights in a row), which is stated in That at night they don't check if you need anything in the bathroom, for example. The typical details of a five-star hotel are also missing: a chocolate, a fruit, a postcard, whatever. And it fails miserably in a breakfast that, although varied, is mediocre, and where they don't even serve you coffee on the terrace, but you have to make it yourself if you don't want to wait an hour for someone to bring it to you. Better not to talk about the mess in the classroom, which even in a primary school playground can't be surpassed.
And all this at 600 euros per night… Surely in Singapore there are better options at a better price.

From the doorman welcoming you and taking your luggage to your room, the reception staff, concierges, room sevice staff its obvious the hotel philosophy is absolute customer service.
We stayed in a courtyard room with Straits Club access the room was very luxurious and spotlessly clean with a mini bar filter coffee maker and filtered water on tap.
The bed was extremely comfortable and massive. We were looked after from the moment we enterred the Straits Club dining room where we enjoyed champagne breakfast, afternoon tea and cakes and evening cocktails with canapes.
The two main in house restaurants offer a wide range of dishes with excellent sevice.
During our stay we celebrated a special occasion and Tiara and Quinn were on hand to make the occasion very memorable with their congratulations and attentiveness.
We will be visiting Singapore again and will definately be staying at The Fullerton Hotel

The room was very quiet at night (we didn't hear a thing) but if we happened to be in the room during the day they were doing construction under our room that we could hear but it wasn't terribly loud. I don't know what the upper rooms heard but this could be an issue if you are on the 2nd floor and need absolute quiet. We weren't bothered by it. Ask management for a quiet room away from construction if you are going soon or ask them when it will be completed.
