Village Hotel Katong, as its name suggests, brings with it the Nonya flavors of Singapore's Eastern regions of Katong and Marine Parade. This non-smoking 229-room hotel, which features Superior, Deluxe, Club, and Family room categories, provides great value for travellers. All rooms come with an opening balcony, and range in size from 28m2 to 45m2. Village Hotel Katong draws its inspiration from the Peranakan heritage of its surrounding, which can be reflected in the hotel's Straits Chinese design accents. Village Hotel Katong is one of the few hotels which are located near Changi International Airport, and is just opposite Parkway Parade, one of the biggest shopping centres in the East of Singapore.

Hotel's Favorite
My family and I (2 adults & 2 teenagers) stayed in the Family Room for a month. The room was spacious, had all the amenities, a large balcony overlooking the East Coast beach and was kept spotless by our favorite housekeeping staff, Jane and her colleagues. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, thumbs up to the 2 gentlemen at Concierge, always helping us with our food delivery orders. The hotel is situated between Katong & Marine Parade area which is such a great spot for FOOD, shopping, gyms; definitely an area where you can just enjoy walking and exploring. With the great value, staff and excellent locale, we’ll definitely be back!

Good location for a meal in the evening but need to take a bus to closest MRT station to get into the city. Breakfast was awful and made us sick. Cold food with little European offerings. Don’t use the shampoo in rooms!!! Destroyed my long hair.

From start to finish the hotel staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The variety of choice amazing. From full English to Continental to chicken curry, rice and noodles, porridge, fruit etc. The hotel is clean. The room spacious. Comfortable bed and the shower was to die for. Handy having a supermarket, cafes and shops directly under the hotel. The staff allowed us to store our cases on checking out and use the gym and pool for the day. We couldn't fault it.

Parking.....could not get a receipt from the machine, so had to contact the parking company for one....not a good start. The hotel reception experience was great. The room was fine, except for being woken up by workmen outside at 5am and the Biffa lorry at 6am! The restaurant.....where do I start. Booked a table, nobody manning the front of house, so waited around for 10 minutes. Finally, got bored and went and found a member of staff myself, in order for me to sit down at a table. Menu was pretty poor, unless you wanted a burger! I had to pay for my meal before I got it, even though I was a hotel guest? I was told it was because people were eating and then doing a 'runner'......probably because they couldn't get a staff member so they could pay for their meal!

Almost the most five star hotel I’ve ever been in ( without a five star rating and not expensive price). What a great room. Mgr. upgraded me to lounge access for free when he saw how travel weary I was. Here’s to you. Huge room. Clean. Good gym. Bathroom. Service. Great trendy neighborhood. High end grocery store and mall next door. Ease of even bus transportation. $128 on Hotwire.

Sadly we only stayed one night. Our room was excellent with every facility you need, with our being pretentious. Reception staff were welcoming & polite & very helpful. Front of House manager was beyond excellent. While we waited for our airport transfer we were invited to a private lounge to enjoy complimentary food & drinks, then provided with access to the gym & pool where we could swim and relax before freshening up with a shower, towels provided. we have almost exclusive! How wonderful to swim in the pool with barely anyone around with people enjoying the evening 6 floors down on the street! Heaven! Thank you!

We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. Kenneth was very helpful, guiding us to touristy places, telling us how to get places and where to eat. The rooms were spotless, the AC and showers worked well.there were nice fluffy towels and comfy bed. The location was very good with lots of restaurants nearby. It was also very handy for buses into the city centre.

Beautiful hotel and so welcoming. We booked an executive room so had use of the club lounge. The rooms are huge and exceptional clean. Nice roof top pool, again for us what made our stay were the staff so helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend a stay here if in Singapore.
