We like small hotels with a bit of character. This is in a good location for access to most tourist spots - we used Grab and the prices were very good. The room itself was not huge but that’s in the nature of a heritage building. Quiet, with very friendly and helpful staff. As a vegan the food offer was not for me but Prive just next door is brilliant for vegan food - reviewed separately.

Nostalgia hotel, Singapore, great value for money, a lovely boutique hotel. Outside the city centre it's a close walk to Chinatown and on the MRT line. Very informal, great breakfasts and the bar area is a nice place to relax after a days sightseeing with a nice pint of tiger beer. Highly recommended

Clean & efficiently run hotel. We were promptly greeted at the door when we first check in and everytime we went out/back. All the staff we met greeted us / smiled. We got a feeling that the hotel is family-run and they pay good attention to details. Reception was efficient and apologised for a just launched registration app where guests have to take time to self register - get ready passport details, including for all other guests. Lots of bio data collected here. Am sure its part of Data Privacy Spore. Our Rooms were clean, compact but everything you need such as toiletries (toothbrush, sandals), coffee tea, fridge,iron, ironing board, safe are provided. Our Queen bed were comfy, clean good quality thick bed sheets, fluffy & comfortable pillows. We got a corner end of hall room. It was quiet and we did not have any problem with external noise. Hotel is located opposite Tiong Bahru Market and in between Outram & Havelock station. Both about 10 mins walk. We took an evening walk to Chinatown (about 25 mins from Hotel). We love the hawker food at the TB Market and the early morning walks along the Singapore River. About 10 mins walk to the River and maybe 20 mins walk to Clarke Quay from Kings Centre (check google maps). Great photos of MBS from Clarke Quay.

I had a great 4 night stay at the Nostalgia Hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly considering the circumstances of staying (waiting for my flight arrangements to Vietnam, printing important documents, extending nights at last minute). It provides the usual toiletries as well as coffee and tea and a mini fridge. Wifi worked well. Location was superb. Easy access to bus stop to go anywhere, couple of MRT stations at walkable distance. Nearby the hotel, not even a block from the hotel there are plenty of nice eateries bars and restaurants (and the Tiang Baruh Market). Although on the small size, my two young sons enjoyed the swimming pool. Last, the hotel follows strict safety rules in regards to current COVID-19 situation: temperature check, hands sanitiser/alcohol rubbing, SGSafety check ins and outs through the app, etc.

I have stayed at the Nostalgia Hotel for over 10 years. It has a great location, close to restaurants, shopping & easy access to both public transport & taxis. The service has always been good, staff friendly & helpful, the rooms & bathrooms are small but sufficient for a single traveler. It is well priced & good value for money

Excellent Service and impressively kind Staff. If you want to visit the Megacity Singapore and still have an atmosphere where you feel welcome and family-like, you should stay at Nostalgia. The pool refreshs you after a long day of working. Rooms are very clean and service is done everyday - but just if you want, Nostalgia takes care of the environment and avoid e.g. new sheets when it is not needed.

About 11 minutes to Tiung Bahru metro station, very close to Tiung Bahru Hawker where the food is good and the price very low for Singapore. You have to visit the Botanical Garden, one of our favorite sight. Of interest also was Little India, Chinatown, Gardens by the Bay, not to be missed.

The hotel is small but equip with adequate facilities in the room. It comes with a small fridge, kettle, complimentary coffee n teas. Nevertheless, it comes with private bath room (you need to select the room with bathroom attached). It is nearby Havelock MRT station n opposite with Tiong Bahru Market Hawker Centre by walking distance less than 200m. The famous local food Loh Mee n Chwee Kueh are located in the 1st floor above the Tiong Bahru Market

Very clean and friendly. Rooms are on the small side, but if you are looking for a more authentic Singapore than the glitzier establishments, this is the place for you. Local Hawker centre a few metres away is delicious along with higher end 'hideaways'. Nostalgia has a nice patio with cold beer and yummy pizza.

Look I am going to be honest here, the hotel room was terribly small! Thank God I only had one night there or I would have died of claustrophobia. There I have said it now let's move to the good parts.
The people, the people here is what makes the hotel so good. I was here for one night only we checked in on Friday and Saturday we left to catch our flight, on Saturday our flight was at 8pm and my mum was extremely unwell. I asked the hotel if we could checkout at 4pm.
The lady behind the counter told me that I will have to pay extra S$70 for late checkout and I was fine with it, but what won me was during breakfast the front desk staff came to tell me "I just spoke to my manager and we won't charge you for checking out at 4pm"
That act of compassion is what won me about this hotel, my mother was sick, she needed rest, they understood that and did not charge us for late checkout I honestly cannot thank the Manager and the Front Desk staff enough for their compassion and understanding.
It is these little things that one looks at. Considering this, I most certainly would not mind returning to Hotel Nostalgia, despite the small room :)
