I have my doubt at first before staying at this hotel regarding this is more business hotel rather than leisure hotel for family considering the location in CBD. My worries turned out to be very wrong, from the moment we arrived, the hotel staff treated us very well. Pak Fadly whom greeted us by name when we exited from taxi was very kind. He showed us the room and the functionality, it also help that he could speak Malay so that we feel at ease asking questions. Before that, we checked in at the club millesime while waiting our room to be ready and the lounge attendant give us refreshing drinks. She also give us the tour of the facilities which we really appreciated.
The room itself was beautiful. It exudes luxury and chic at the same time. From the books provided, to the magazines, lighting, coloring books and huge sofa showed that the room was very elegant. The bathroom amenities provided by Hermes which we loved and the bathtub becomes my daughter's playground. One minor thing to improve is Hotel could provide some air freshener to remove previous guest scent.
What set the hotel apart is their staff. They went the extra miles by providing decorations and plush toy to celebrate my daughter birthday. Then, they also gave us a scrumptious birthday cheese cake which we enjoy very much. This incredible hospitality that we received convince us to prefer this hotel for the future stay.

Reached there late due to busy schedule and bring our kids along. It was a surprise birthday treat for our son. FO Melody Diong was superb in explaining details and not rushing during explaining and full of smiles even though she was asked lots of questions. We were interrupted while checking in and she still sounds professional and answered the couple with a sincere smile and tone.

Lobby level 1 nicely decorated for CNY and check in lobby at level 5 was very clean and well maintain. Upon checking in the room, extra bed was sent by Housekeeping and the lady was very friendly and very strong to handle the extra bed.

One touch operator answered my calls as we requested for scotch tape, they gave me a reasonable advice and not a flat no(incase the walls get peeled off so I have to be careful) and we got the tape. Very friendly mannered.

Housekeeping aunt really made me feel nostalgic with her accent of English mixed with Malay with a bright smile and did well making up my room. It brought up the feeling when I was a child having staycations in the 90s. Sorry for requesting for Make Up service late after 4pm. She doesn’t even look upset and I greatly appreciated that.

Lobby ambassadors are always helpful and smiles too.

Area have lots of restaurants, cafes, convenience stores and fast food around. We did not try the hotel restaurant or IRD as we cater to Halal food.

Sofitel City Centre, I’m sorry did not get most of the names as my trouble trios kiddos are a handful. You guys have an awesome team and I wish all of you the best and stay strong to pull through these tough times for tourism & hospitality. Thank you for making our staycations a perfect 10/10.

We went there right after the easing of the Circuit Breaker, and it was understandable that a lot of safety measures would affect the experience of staying in an otherwise grand hotel. We booked a family package which included a tea break and an A-frame tent in the room, plus a baby cot and baby bathtub. You can imagine squeezing so many items in the room but it was still very spacious for my kids to roam around. The soft toy mascot bumblebee in the room (which you can bring back) was a delight to the kid. Toiletries were Lanvin which was expected of Sofitel. The full height windows were great and we were not facing any nearby tall buildings.

Tea break was served in mooncake cardboard boxes which was hygienic although not as grand as a hi tea tower. Breakfast was ordered through the phone, and the selection was limited I would say. With the Covid-19 situation, I guess hotels are also constrained.

I would recommend Sofitel Singapore City Centre for family staycay.

A really lovely hotel in the middle of businesses in Singapore. The MRT station is literally in this building, so you dont have to walk many steps to get to the train. The service is of 5* quality and the bfast matches this. We had book 3rooms, which were nice and spacious with a shower and bath tub. Wifi everywhere and room service whenever you need it. Hi tech surveillance and access to the rooms, so not just anyone can come to your room unless you share a floor. Very clean and good coffee and tea facilies, bar fridge, make sure you ask them to empty it if you dont want to be charged extra. Really enjoyed our 5nights in this gem.

Had a wonderful stay at Sofitel. Theres many things to like about this Hotel.

Location is so convenient just above Tanjong Pagar MRT and area has plenty of food choices. (Highly recommend Keisuke Hamburg just across the Hotel)

Service and ambience in the Hotel is top notch, it is a class above. Love how they use gigantic bears to socially distance, instead of ugly big Xs in other places. The pool area is small but lovely to hang out at. It is so tranquil that it's hard to believe we are in the middle of the CBD. The great view and instagram worthy backdrop is a bonus!

We had dinner at Racines and Afternoon Tea at 1846. Food was superb at Racines, their Crab Fried Rice and Wagyu Cheek was amazing! There was a small hiccup during the meal which we just casually mentioned, but Shankar went above and beyond to rectify it. He really exemplifies great service, please extend our appreciation to him. Drinks at 1846 are fantastic! We had the whiskey sour and espresso martini, both were delicious. Afternoon Tea food were acceptable but again, it is the service that stands out. The staffs were all very attentive in refilling water for the teapot and made genuine efforts to connect with us.

We had the Luxury Room which was clean, spacious and comfortable. It also had a lovely view of the surrounding shop houses. The room is thoughtfully designed and I loved that the towel hanging rack is big enough to hang all of our towels! Service was prompt when we needed more amenities and Housekeeping was kind to bring my child a kid amenity set and bath salt for the adults. The Bed is also sooooo comfortable. The only downside is probably the pillow which was very soft and flat.

Thank you Sofitel Team for the great stay!

We totally enjoyed our staycation here on the eve of Christmas! Even though its a super peak festive season, the staffs here made sure we are well taken care of. And the service are impeccable even though they are super busy, they always serve us with a smile! It is a vast difference in comparison to their sister hotel in Sentosa!

Thank you so much to Monica at the front desk during check-in for taking the effort to explain everything to us and making sure we can utilise our cable car tickets. We are so impressed by your service and your smile even though you are swamp with many check-in guests.

The pool entry is very well organised with the exchange of entry passes and the issuing of towels.

Breakfast is crowded as expected, but we can see that all staffs are working very hard to cater to the influx of guests during this period. Thank you Wen Xin, Michelle and Raihana for your service and your smile. And Push, we can see you zooming around ensuring we have our food. Even though there are some hiccups and some of our orders didn't arrive, your hardwork and the kitchen crews' effort impresses us!

Well done to all the staffs at Sofitel City Centre!

We booked 2 rooms for 17 nights as Accor Gold Plus members. Room 1 for grandparents/babysitters and Room 2 for a 9 week old and his working parents. The “baby” room was fully set up as requested with cot, bottle sterilising equipment and baby bath. A change table was also available. The servicing of the room was always available to work around baby sleeping times- thank you. Breakfast and club access was included for the oldie’s room.
We chose this location for easy commute to work for both parents- 6 minutes for one, 10 for the other. The MRT is right underneath the building with super easy access. This is a new hotel and although mostly a business hotel, families are very welcome. The soundproofing between rooms is amazing- not a sound heard when the door is shut. A myriad of shops and eateries are underneath and within a few metres of the hotel, as are chemists and supermarkets.
The hotel also has a long lap swimming pool and gym. The staff were always friendly and cheerful and all our small requests/questions attended to very efficiently. The only small criticism was that breakfasts could have offered more fruit. The breakfast staff were lovely and always came to check on “the baby”. In fact, they seemed genuinely disappointed the one morning we didn’t take him down!
Thank you Sofitel for a magnificent stay and making us so welcome for our extended stay. When work dictates again, we will definitely be back.

The Prestige Suite I stayed at was very spacious and boasts of a decor that is modern, tasteful and very arty. The Room 2007 that I had stayed in is a corner suite and so it had 2 panes of windows in the bedroom which was nice.

The in-room internet speed was super fast with 95Mbps download and 98Mbps upload speed.

The Hermes toiletries smelled so amazing that I actually purchased the eau de toilette after I checked out of it.

The downside was that perhaps due to the craziness of the staycation crowd, the room was not well cleaned with quite a few stray hairs here and there.

The quality of food at the Club Lounge was rather disappointing considering that it was a Christmas Eve spread. There was no afternoon tea service as well. The breakfast at Racines was good, but there were ordering hiccups.

Otherwise, the overall experience was still an enjoyable one.

This is the first time we stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed. The hotel is sophistically designed and decor is fresh despite opened for 4 years. It is located just right beside Tanjong Pagar MRT, which is perfect for travellers going by public transport. The place is within close walking distance to Tanjong Pagar road, which is populated with a wide spectrum of food choices.

We stayed in the Luxury Twin Room and find the room spacious and cleanl. Word of caution that the aircon can get pretty cold. Loved the overall functional design of the room. The toilet is lockable with a bath and a separate rain shower. The lights can be adjusted to provide minimal lighting for those who doesn’t like complete darkness for sleep. The entertainment system exceeded our expectation with many TV channels and a HDMI port located near the desk where we can plug in our Nintendo Switch console. The room comes with a Bose speaker that connects to our phones by Bluetooth effortlessly.

The staff was friendly. Something of note that during our stay, the makings up of the room takes place after 4pm.

Another Accor great hotel at Singapore. The check in process was very seamless, even they let me enter the room early. The room is beautiful and very spacious for a family like us with a lot of luggages. As a Platinum member, i was upgraded to Executive floor.

The breakfast is very tasty with wide selection of food. The food at the exec lounge was also very tasty but unfortunately, only 1 hot meal was served daily and not replenished and no other choices, and luckily the hot meal during evening cocktail was tasty, the dessert was also very good (tiramisu is my favourite, moist, creamy and not too sweet). However, it is a shame that mineral water is not widely available at the exec lounge because the staff hide it under the cabinet. You may request for it for free, but it is troublesome to keep asking since other bottled drinks are free for grab in the fridge except mineral water. I never found exec lounge in other 5* hotels which restrict the amount of mineral water like this. Normally, the alcohol is restricted not the mineral water. But i understand, Sofitel exec lounge uses the glass bottled mineral water which is imported from Italy (not the local cheap brand) so i think it is high cost.

Location wise, it is next to Tanjong Pagar mrt station and it is only like 10 seconds of walking and there is small shopping mall next building.

Even though most of the staffs are friendly and attentive, i see some of the breakfast attendants and one male manager (standing in front) is abit cocky and not friendly, where he was looking ppl from head to toe.

The hotel is also not very far from Maxwell Food Centre but quiet a distance if you want to reach Chinatown area by foot, like 20mnts of walking.

Overall, this is a great hotel even the hotel allows me for late check out until 5.30pm because i have 10pm flight so i can rest a while before going to the airport.

If you like the "olden" or "cultural" Singapore, this part of the city is a great place to base your stay - walking distance to Singapore City Gallery to start off to give a good context/understanding of Singapore. Chinatown is also a stone throw away with many cultural attractions. There is also a local tourist centre (where you can make your day tours/tickets) at Chinatown. If you are game for it, you can also try out the durian stalls here. This hotel is directly above a MRT which makes it easy to travel to any other parts of Singapore. It is also a great place to soak into the local culture as it is located near public housing as well as local offices. You can also check out the Pinnacle @ Duxton which is an iconic public housing project. There are a lot of local food choices in the many hawker centres / markets around. For quiet dinners, there is a good restaurant within the hotels and there are also many good restaurants at neighbouring hotels. It is very safe to walk around at night around here. Enjoy!

Contact the hotel and ask as they are reply back quickly. You may have to pay extra for a rollaway bed to be 'installed' in the room.
