Stayed there for 2 days , actually we book them online , it says that we can check in anytime so we arrived as early as I think around 7am then they informe us that the check in time is 2PM, and informed that we might be allowed to check in by 12 or 1pm!!! Then we decided to go to our first destination , after first destination we decided to go back around 12nn since they let us left our things there, and we ask if we can check in , but the other guy told us that it's 2PM. We bargain I ask the guy if I can take a bath , AND HE SAID YES AND I CAN USE THE SHOWER OUTSIDE GROSS. I think they should not be that misleading, same goes with the next guest when we are leaving they also thought that they can check in early, but they got informed that it will be 2PM. So they just decided to have their lunch not to ruin their mood for the vacation. Supposed to be , the location is good sice it's near with dmall and budget mart and other establishments . The room is 4/5 spacious and the aircon's froyon is not that strong anymore it cannot cool the whole room. I think they should add fan inside the room. for next bookers : be mindful that they will allow you to check in at 2PM so plan your trip to Boracay.

Hi, I'm not sure where you seen it says you can check in anytime? On all sites we are listed on it says 2pm as the check in time, if you can show me where it says anytime i'd be really interested so we can contact which ever site it is to change it as as far as we are aware all sites say 2pm.

Poor customer service.they’re insisting us to give them the room key and told us they’re already cleaning all the rooms even our checkout was 12nn. No luggage storage, they just want us to put our luggage outdoor and telling us they have cctv, seriously? What can cctv can do if our stuffs got stolen in case? Really had a worst experience in this lodge.

Despite of having huge review about their CR, I think they didn't make an effort to fix it since we also experienced the worst smell of the CR for 3 days. Also, they don't check the aircon if working. We wait for their taga gawa before we went out. They should open the aircon if they know that the guest will arrive on that day. Given that I've messaged them that we are already at the airport. Staffs are always not on their reception when we need or we will buy something. I need to chat pa to their messenger. Lastly, they are very strict on the check out. exactly 12:09pm they are rushing us. Overall ok but not satisfied and will never go back to this hotel again.

Response from Jonathan Waddington, Owner at Lola's Lodge

Hi, we've had 2 reviews about the CR in the room you stayed in smelling in the last 6 years and i've personally checked it anytime some one has said something and im still to smell anything. The only problems we've had with it is when guest have thrown food etc down the toilet but we have cleaned it out Regarding the aircon not been put on before you arrive, i hope you understand how much electricity is at the moment, we do ask guest to also turn it off when they leave to go out but very few do, hence why we have had to raise our room rates due to the increase in electric etc prices. As for been strict on the check out date, as of course we have to be, our check in time is 2pm and if guest arrive and the rooms aren't ready then they will complain.

Upon arriving, we requested that we stow our bags to the lady at its reception office as we arrived before the checkin time. The lady told us to leave our bags beside the refrigerator which is just a stool located where lots of people pass by and no one really looks after it to secure it. I, irritated, decided to just bring my bags along. Needless to say, upon checkout, we did not stow our bags as well. On our 2nd day, we went out and placed the "please clean my room" signage outside the door. I even reminded the lady to have the room clean. Upon arriving at the room, it wasnt cleaned. I went to the lady and asked why the room wasnt cleaned and the lady said, "we really do not clean, the only time we clean is upon check in and nothing else after that regardless of the duration of your stay". I realized, the signage was just for show. I contacted agoda and complained, only then that they did clean. FYI, in agoda however, it indicated that this hotel does daily housekeeping. Further, in agoda, it indicated that this hotel offers BBQ facilities, luggage storage, smoking area, and car park.....no, none of that is true. It has a common kitchen, free hot and cold water on a dispenser, outside eating table and stool facilities though. Ironically, the hotel even had a signage " smoking is not allowed in Lola's Lodge property, inside and outside the room 1000PHP fine if caught" yet it agoda, it says it does have that smoking facility. Regarding the car park, i wonder how that can be when you would need to pass along anl very narrow alley to get there, a car cannot fit along the alley you know! The tv remote and bidet is defective. The CR does smell awful, I think it simply needs a P-trap. I did not bother with the wifi, my phone's wifi works fine. Other than that, i had a good sleep. The place is very central. If I were to come back in Bora, i would look elsewhere as I realized when we were going around that there are other nearby hotels that are affordable as well.

the room is big and the location is food for its price but the crs are the worst amoy imburnal 2 rooms that we stayed in there smells like that for 4 days. There's definitely an issue with their ventilation and human sewage waste hope that they fix it and the heater. and their towels looks worn out its horrible. but overall its a good experience. the staff are nice.

Best Budget hotel for groups! Offers hot and cold shower, you can cook outside your room for a fee of Php250 day use. You can also request to cook breakfast.. Aircon is in good condition, towels though are not that clean and looks old. Bed is not sturdy and making some weird noise.. All in all great stay! Will definitely come back for budget purposes :)

The place is commendable for a budget conscious traveler. Located at the heart of shopping mall, it is conducive for shopping spree. Staff are accommodating and friendly, even offered the kitchen utensils and stove for use during our stay. We had better sleep and nice vacation stay. I will recommend this place to friends, relatives and office mates.

We are a group of 5 and travelling together with students. I am mindful of lodgings - such that I really take time to choose and read reviews prior booking. Lola’s lodge got very good reviews. I wanted a place that was not expensive but would give us the benefit of towels, a/c at least. This is not the usual hotel we go in with the fancy reception and concierge. I expected simplicity and didn’t expect much. So I wouldn’t mind the simple reception area and the alley in DMall where this place is located. I was very happy by the friendly receptionIst, Ate Kim. She took our luggage’s and since we were early, she advised us to come back by 1pm. She placed all our stuff inside the room. Really friendly and helpful! The room is small and fits 3 bunk beds. What exceeded my expectations: - beds are comfortable. Some review say the mattress are not good but they are. - towels provided - room is clean - room has anti mosquito repellant, safety box, hanging rod for clothes, TV with cable that is good! - hot and cold shower - bigger CR than the more expensive resorts - there’s a bidet! - private CR - you can order food here too! This is ideal place for budget travellers who want to get good facilities. Cheers to Lola’s Lodge! I love this place!
