Detailed Reviews
I spent about 10 days at the Bolabog Beach resort and it was a comfortable, enjoyable stay. The rooms are large and clean. Nothing too special, but they cover all the basics, and the bathrooms are equally large and clean.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The shuttle that goes to the D Mall is nice, but it's definitely in walking distance if you prefer that.
It's on the Bolabog Beach, not the famous White Beach. It's a beach that's more suitable for sports like Wind and Kite Surfing. But the views are amazing. And it's a bit removed from all the crowds on White Beach.
The hotel is owned by Koreans and caters a lot to Korean guests, but as a Westerner I felt completely comfortable there.
One thing is that the large pool shown in the photo is about 2 feet deep. Just for kiddies. Their other pool isn't maintained very well, and I doubt they clean it regularly. After swimming in it a few times by girlfriend got a really be ear infection in both ears. They should really take better care of it.

The hotel is just a 10min walk from D-Mall and White Beach. The room is big and the bed very confortable. The beach in front of the hotel isn't so beautiful, but nice to look at during sunrise. I recommend. Staff is very polite.
There aren't many continental or american breakfast picks. Wii fii isn't good at all.

Along the road as it curves to the North from our hotel, the Bolabog Beach Resort has a presence. Catering to Kite surfing and windsailing crowd they have a decent enough looking hotel. My focus will be on the restaurant on the road that is a part of the resort and the covered lounge area that the restaurant services.
The team decided I would be the one to scout out the place to ascertain whether or not they served food and if it appeared like it would be a place worth hanging out to enjoy the sunset. I made my way to the location which was what less than a five minute walk to my hotel. The covered chair and table area was actually pretty inviting with a number of open set ups to include bean bag style lounge chairs in front of a low table that reminded me of Korean style.
I decided that this was worth investigating further and when no one from the resto across the street came to me I went to them. They did say they serviced the area I was hanging on in as it was a part of the resort. I looked at the menu and it displayed a pretty good selection of food items to include Korean.
I messaged my clan and in short order they all came trooping around the corner to join me. We selected a number of items from the menu, some drinks. I noted that the menu items were pretty pricey compared to other places and knowing they had a Korean clientele, the assumption was for this price the food will be great and we won’t go away hungry.
We enjoyed the sunset and moonrise over the drinks and just after it really started to get dark the food started coming out. The beer I ordered was 120p verse the 80p I would pay on the nicer more commercialized White Beach. This would explain why hardly anyone was spending anytime at this place.
From what I can remember we had the Chap Che, some Korean seafood dish, Bebimbop and spaghetti bolognaise. NONE of the Korean food items tasted like they were supposed to taste and the Bebimbop I had was absolutely pathetic. I think it was missing most of the ingredients. The portions were certainly not what we expected either. The only food item that came close to being acceptable was the spaghetti and the group did manage to devour that. We were almost taking bets on who would be the one to finish the food of the other items. We all know what Korean food is supposed to taste like and this was not it. The portions were also amazingly small, as if they were aspiring to be a trendy restaurant in Paris that serves you a sprig of onion and calls it a main course.
The other point of concern was that it was not very often that anyone from the wait staff would come out to check if we needed anything such as a drink refill. The other major issue was the fact that we had to put up with two stray dogs and a cat which the staff did nothing about getting out of our business.
I had actually gotten to the point I where I just did not want to even look at the food I was so disappointed. We all agreed that this was a wash and went to go find someplace else we could eat.
My recommendation for this place is watch the sunset from another location on the beach. Skip the overpriced resto.

I would recommend to everyone to avoid this hotel.
The rooms are old and noisy with no light, the pool is more a small pond for kids, location is not great and the breakfast is awful. In addition they charge a incredible 7% charge if you want to pay by credit card...
