Detailed Reviews
Place is okay but a bit old. First room assigned to me has busted bulbs and ceiling fan not working so I moved to another room. Bfast was basic. Shower heater not always working and pressure is slow. Location is great near beach and restaurants. Most staff are nice and accommodating.

I just got back from Boracay after a 3-day weekday visit. I must say that it was indeed a worthwhile experience. Coming from Manila, we didn't really make any hotel reservation which lead us to walk-in at Alice in Wonderland Boracay. Their location is a 2 minute walk going to the beach front. I must say that their standard room is not standard at all. It exuded my expectation of what a standard room must be for a price that is very reasonable and affordable. We stayed at a cozy Room 208 located at the second floor of the building. The room has a veranda with a clean, earth-toned color curtain. It also has a Queen size bed, mini built in working desk, catv, small pantry, personal fridge, h/c shower, t&b plus a bath tub! :) The hotel also offers free reliable and fast internet connection. Your choices for breakfast includes bangusilog, tapsilog, tocilog (the best!), and many more. What's best is that you can also choose varieties of drink for breakfast. I was surprised that they have fresh milk as an option since I am not a coffee drinker and I have a 7 year old kid with me. Their lobby was well maintained and spacious and it's also equipped with cctv for security and safety. Their staff was courteous, friendly and hospitable. The owner is also there to supervise. We sure have loved our stay at their hotel and we will surely be back here sometime November. :)
** Walk in rates are usually much cheaper compared to online booking rate especially during weekdays. We got ours at Php 1500/night! :)

Alice in wonderland has two locations close to each other. The other one is a hotel close to the beach and the older part is cabins with a pool in the middle. The cabins are a bit outdated but OK and reasonably priced. Everything is very expensive on the island compared to most places in Philippines. The pool and the yard are nice. They were doing some work on the pool while we were there so it should be in a better state now. Hammocks on the porches were awesome for some afternoon chilling.

Average room with generally old fitting not working properly, shower, bath, hot water, basing. Price of accommodation far too high even if boracay high season. Same prices or even higher around. Staff not very welcoming and friendly. Also many times wifi connection didn't work. No coming here again not to boracay.

We stayed here overnight October 2012 and paid 1600 for each room..we were 4 so we got 2 rooms because they told us that they do not have EXTRA BED!!!! staff we're very UNFRIENDLY..we have to ask/beg them to help us with our luggage!!!! when I called to ask for hot water for our coffee they charged us with 12.00, it's okay to pay but I got shocked when the receptionist said that I should go down to get the hot water! (what kind of service!!!!) the comfort room was not even cleaned when we checked in...a housekeeping staff told me that they haven't cleaned it yet!!they should've not given us the key to the room!!My goodness...

I spent 6 nights there. Staff is unuseful. They will say hello only you say it first. Rooms are OK as you have fridge, AC and hotwater.
But this is not the main fact... When we spent the first night, we notice that the main door of my room was very tired as holes were on the front. The third night I came back to the hotel and as my friend was sleeping inside with the key I knocked the door until he opened it.
The sleeping guard listening noise woke up and told me "I you break anything you will pay!" So nice...
The next days, I thought the problem was forgotten as no one came to me and as I REALLY did anything to this door.
My friend had an foot accident in Boracay and his insurance company decided to repatriate him to Europe. When checking out, they talked about the door. I explained them that holes were already on the door. Then, they hindered us leaving, called guards and told us that they will call the airport to hinder us to leave Philippines (I repeat that my friend was INJURED).
Finally, in order to take care of the health of my friend I paid them 60 USD which finished directly in their pocket as they didn't give us nor receipt for the nights and neither proof of this unfair payment.
If you go to this place, thar will be at your own risks!

How many times you have dived in a swimming pool? How many times you have had pain in your eyes while diving in them? Yes here they put SO MUCH CHEMICALS in to that pool that you can not even use it. The water smells, it burns your eyes, its terrible. I complained 4 times and finally talked with the manager about it and she said: "we have to put MORE CHEMICALS because SOME PEOPLE DONT USE TOILET"....... So instead of kindly saying for customers dont use pool as a toilet they just add more chemicals. So I wanted money back and she simply run away? Amazing. I have to even try to search her, no kidding:D Finally one worker gave my money back.
This could be okay resort, but many things are done stupidly. Bed sheet are like butter paper and very old. Towels are so old that they have even 5x5cm holes in it. Bathroom smells bad, in general you don't wanna be there. AC is not able to keep the room cold enough. Shower doesn't work if you turn hot water and more pressure at the same time. So you have to use cold water only.
But anyway you have to pay full price even when the service is so compromised. There are a lot of hotels on this nice island which are even cheaper and work properly. Forget this one. They don't care about paying customer, just money.

Haven't heard this hotel until a lady approached us in finding a budget friendly hotel. She hooked us up at Alice's for Php1344 per night but we find out that it is only Php1100 per night and she made "patong" on what we have paid for.
PROS: quiet place to stay, have swimming pool, bar area, relaxing garden, security guard, fair price, convenience store near the entrance gate.
CONS:dirty CR, no room service, Hot/Cold shower is not working, uncomfortable pillows (are like 10 years old), stinky furnitures.
Try to stay in there other hotel it might be as better as this one. 3 stars is fair enough for a budget conscious trip.

We stayed at the Resort area, stand-alone cabin, twin bed
Positives:
1) dirt cheap, only P1,100 (pesos) for the cabin (June is near off-peak). Note: internet prices are higher. If you have time, walk-in and check out the rooms/areas first.
2) fairly quiet and secure, spacious lawn/garden all around
3) just a few minutes walk to the markets, shops and eateries
4) hot shower worked beautifully!
Negatives:
1) many of the staff are UNfriendly, UNhelpful, UNsmiling and 100% rude. we only found one 'communicative' person but could be happier. Staff are very much in need of basic customer service training.
2) basic amenities and not maintained well (ants all over beds and floor, saggy beds, holes on the walls, noisy aircondition, can't lock windows, no chairs, small tv, small bar fridge, poor lighting, no cooking nor tea/coffee facility)
3) location is not near the beach so don't expect beach views nor sound of the waves (their Hotel wing can offer views but at a cost, it is noisier as it is near bars and tourist traffic)
4) the main road and alley way leading to the Resort get very floody/wet during heavy rains
5) locals and transport operators seem to know where it is so it is easy to find.

I went to Boracay just last week for research and business on a budget so it wasn't really a holiday galore. I was not with my gf and most times I was out, so a fancy hotel was not really a priority. Standard rooms at P1,600 a night were fully booked so I got a deluxe room for my own with 2 beds. This resort hotel had a nice garden, pool and bar area which could be seen while lying on the hammock at the front porch of the rooms. They had free wifi, basic food and cheap drinks. Room was old and not really clean but not that dirty or filthy either. There was an old TV, mini-ref, basic bathroom and furniture. I honestly think that for the same price they spent making and decorating the rooms, they could have made them much nicer but then I only paid P1,900 a night for them so I guess I just got my money's worth so I really have no complaints. The staff were very helpful and nice and safety of valuables was never an issue as I've left my phone, laptop and other gadgets which the staff has seen, inside the room for 5 days without an incident.
