Ralph’s Place is a family-run, homegrown residence established in 1990. Under the management of the Filipino-Swiss family, one feels right at home in a laidback tropical environment. Additionally, the resort is also home to some friendly dogs. Ralph’s Place is owned, designed, and built by Ralph and his wife, Girlie Gasser. Through the years, they developed the property around its natural scenery and turned their private home into the beautiful hilltop resort that it is now. Located atop a hill on Bolabog Beach, Ralph’s Place is approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the famous White Beach. Find your way to your home away from home through our winding hillside pathways, softly lit so you can appreciate nature at its best. Don’t fret if you take a wrong turn; you’ll never stray far from the property and will get to enjoy even more of the tropical gardens.

Staying at Ralph's place was one of the best decision we made during this Boracay trip. It is the place to be if you wish a quiet retreat from the busy life in Stations 2 and 3. It is a 10 to 15 min walk to the shops and restaurants in D Mall and the Station 2 Beach front. There is also a road nearby (currently under construction as of time of writing) that will take you to the main highway and the famous Johan's Fruit Shake shop.

We requested for an upgrate to the treerop Bungalow, which has a picturesque scene of Bulabog Beach. It is a few steps up, and the climb was totally worth the walk.

Staff were extremely helpful, Karen and her team have been very accommodating and responsive to messages when we required support.

Ralph's place will be a go to for me and my family when I visit Boracay Island in the future.

(This is the same review I posted in Agoda as that is where I booked this property).

What a great place to live in and experience life in Boracay Island 😃.
I rented 1 of their Studio apartments with aircon and also has a Kitchen.
Wifi worked well and really enjoyed the Ocean views.
It's located right on Bulabog beach and only a 10 to 15 min walk from Dmall.
They also had bigger apartments for families or bigger groups.
Highly recommend it 😃

A great place if you’re a kite surfer or don’t mind walking up steps!
Nice staff and Ralph came out to re-set our electric when it tripped one evening. Limited breakfast options but cooked to order.
The steps to the bungalows are steep.
Good views of the kite surfers on Bolabog Beach. This is the wrong side of the island if you’re wanting access directly onto White Beach although it’s probably only a 20-30 min walk.
Rooms cleaned daily.

We had an amazing time at Ralph's Place Boracay! The breakfast, especially their omelettes, was fantastic. Our wonderful host, along with their three lovely Shih Tzus, made us feel right at home. We enjoyed exceptional privacy and the unique experience of the special 88 steps leading to an awesome Boracay sunrise.

We even received a warm welcome from their gecko! 😄

Looking forward to coming back!

I loved Ralphs Place, Ralph moved to Boracay from Europe 40 years ago and bought the place. He is such a friendly man, who lives with his family up on the top of the hotel. Great wifi, comfy beds, and kind, accomodating staff! Beware that there are lots of steps, which made for a good amount of exercise daily. Location is quiet and opposite White Sand Beach, but the walk there was not bad.

Its a bit out of the way and they are fixated on the rooms but lets talk about the restaurant for a minute. A limited menu but its all fresh and delicious. The service was excellent. The calamari was outstanding as is the schnitzel. Try the chicken burger

Pros:
- Good only for kitesurfers who are staying with Funboard Center, Ocean Republic, Timog or Isla schools, but other schools are quite far to walk to, compared to alternative accomodation.
- Nice shared garden area (which can be noisy if the neighbors decide to host a party)

Cons:
- near to Bulabog beach which is very ugly and definitely not for swimming
- Very poor location. 20 minutes walk from D'mall. 30 minutes walk from White Beach. No shared tricycles are available, so you have to walk every time.
- Poor service: their staff provide very limited cleaning services or assistance. Most of the time, they are just standing outside your window trying to get a peek.
- Poor quality: furnishings are very uncomfortable to sit in, the bed sheets are at least 10 years old and full of stains and holes
- Average/expensive pricing: At a rate of 25,000 pesos per month, the rate is a bit higher than the average 15,000 pesos per month. Water/electricity not included.
- Surprise expenses such as internet which is added on top of your bill

Incidents:
- the owner has a lot of dogs that would bark loudly just outside my window every night and wake us up
- our clothes became spotted with rust due to a leak in the ceiling
- when I asked the maid to delay the change of bedsheets by one day, the owner yelled at me and told me that cleaning services were not included
- construction noise made the garden area annoying to stay in

and worst of all: in one occation, one of the staff actually stood still outside the window and stared at my girlfriend who was inside the house wearing a bra (there are no curtains for that side of the house)
