Detailed Reviews
I stayed 10 days, 7 days in one of the downstairs rooms and 3 days upstairs.
Overall I was very happy with the hotel, the rooms are a little dated but clean and large.
The staff are all super friendly and you are a couple of minutes walk from the beach, the restaurants and bars.
The road the hotel is on is not really a ‘proper’ road but it was no issue for me.
Air con unit in the downstairs room was loud but I’m a heavy sleeper, upstairs room had a new aircon unit.
I would have no problem staying here again for the price and location and the super friendly staff.

This is my third time staying at this hotel. I stay two weeks every time. I will never stay anywhere else when I'm in the area. The hotel is amazing always clean comfortable the hotel staff go way above and beyond they make you feel like family and friends. The pool is very nice it is very close to the beach. I could say more but not enough space you just have to stay here and you will understand that this is the place to be.

Walking distance from beach front, room is spacious, they have a single bed at the living room. We added an extra bed near the kitchen. Near wet market if you prefer to cook in your place. The pool is 5ft to 6ft, place is clean staff are kind in all our requests.

The hotel does not match the photos. The room is old and does not match the photos, there is a rusty mirror in the bathroom, the air conditioner makes a lot of noise, it is impossible to sleep. It is impossible to use the shower, the water in the tap is difficult to adjust to hot. The curtains are dirty, the wardrobe is stained, there is mold in the shower - this is dangerous for health!!! We are with a small child. There are a lot of ANTS in the room, they climb onto the bed and into a suitcase with clothes, ants are everywhere. Also frogs and lizards. Old dirty refrigerator. Wi-Fi is very bad. Peeled wallpaper, uncomfortable sink, constantly pouring water on the floor. it's dangerous, you can slip. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel to ANYONE and even more so for such a high amount !!! Maximum 400 pesos per day. I am a travel agent. I have been to many Asian countries and this is the first time I see this!!

We stayed at Villa Sunset for 3 nights, Junior Suite
The room is beautiful. I love the mediterranean theme with a twist of Balinese/Thai and local theme of the room, the warm colours makes a comfortable accommodation. The beds and linens are neat! The bathroom is very clean and modern. The pool is being cleaned daily and the garden is well-maintained. The bar serves good drinks and one can enjoy free wi-fi in the room or at the bar.
The location is not beachfront but it is just a short stroll to the White Beach, less than a minute walk. There's a security guard at night so you feel safe while you're sleeping.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. I had a great holiday staying with Villa Sunset.

We recently stayed at Villa Sunset with a family of 27. We booked 6 out of the 8 rooms. What a nice surprise. It was like we "owned" the place. No noise or harrassment from the beach-people. Very secured with a gate. Only a few minutes walk to the beach. And very protected from the wind and/or rain that might happen.
Some people prefer to stay in a resort "beachfront". Give me a break. None of the resorts in Station 2 are beachfront. ALL of them have a restaurant in front, and it will take you the same time walking from your "beachfront" hotelroom to the beach as walking from Villa Sunset to the beach.
The family rooms are perfect for family outings. Two floors with a master bedroom and bathroom with all amenities (shampoo, soaps, hot and cold water, .). A fully equipped kitchen with ref. A spacious living room and balcony, and a loft with two large sides, each with a double bed.
If you come with a group, you will feel you own the place. Nice Pool, Nice staff who will even cook your barbecue if you buy the food at the market. (charge for cook, grill and choarcoal is only P250)
Nothing wrong at Villa Sunset. Perfect place for families.

Avoid this place. I had doubts about so “bright reviews” on the web site for this hotel, therefore I made reservation only for one night. When I arrived there with my family I realized that I have made a right decision. We arrived late evening about 10pm. After long check-in procedure on the way to our room located on the grand floor I saw a jumping frog just in front of the our door. A few steps away was the pool but probably nobody would like to use it in cooperation with frogs… The situation with our room was not very different –with mosquitos everywhere, old furniture, noisily AC and dirty bathroom. It is obviously that all these “bright reviews” which I had read in Trip Advisor before to visit Boracay are simply fake (most probably they are written by the owner of the property) Anyway we were lucky to stay here just for one night, in fact less than ten ours. Early in the morning we moved to AZALEA hotel (just a few hundred meters away, on the main road) which was a completely different world…

Pros
- nice staff
- located near station 2
- wifi connection
Cons
- located down alley from beach. Alley smells, dark at night
- room not very clean. Roachs in the bathroom. Mosquitos in the room. Bathroom mat all ripped up/old and very dirty. Wore flip flops in shower just to be cautious
- no room cleaned (replacing toilet paper etc) unless requested
- Provide coffee cups but no kettle?
Overall loved Boracay and will be returning but unfortunately won't be staying at this place. So much potential but not enough put into the place. Certainly not to warrant the price per night.

This place is fine for budget stay at Boracay, 100 metres from Boat Station 2, close to Nigi Nigi Noo Noos.
Only 8 rooms and small pool and bar, perfect for families. Some rooms have small kitchenette.
Rooms are mostly good, nice beds and balcony, but our first room had a rattling air conditioner, and the maid must be small because upper shelves in kitchenette were dirty

The service was okay especially their welcome drinks. All staffs here always greet the customers with a smile. We stayed at their family room and we really like the modern designed of it. Actually I`m thinking of copying the floor plan designed when we decided to have our own house renovate. The location is great too, this hotel is just a 2 minutes walk from the beach. And there`s a lot places to shop and dine around the area. The wi-fi is not that signal clear. Actually we can only use the wi-fi if we are near the terrace. There`s no internet signal inside the room. Anyway, its not a big problem for us though cause we didn`t came here just for the internet. The menus from this hotel is quite expensive and its noted that we had to order the food 1 day in advance. Well, just look around the area and you will never get hungry coz there`s lot of restaurant you can choose from according to your budget. We also like the swimming pool inside the resort. Its small but at least they have! All in all we really enjoyed our stayed here because of their friendly smile....Good job for all the staff of villa sunset! I hope we can be back again there next year.
